I've been to Puerto Rico before, but only visited beaches in the San Juan area. Boy, was I missing out. This time, I stayed in Isabela with a couple of friends and we decided to drive over to Rincon for the afternoon for some sun and paddle boarding.
The beach itself was quieter than I had expected, but that's definitely a good thing. The beach itself was super clean and the area felt safe. Beautiful spot.
Paddle boards are available for $15 an hour. You can get a life jacket too, but they're not required (damn, I would have felt much better if I had gotten one though lol paddle boarding isn't easy when the waters get rough).
No lifeguards here, so be sure to take safety precautions before you dive in! read more
