Tai is amazing! I went to the Nail Boutique down the road by Panera and they TRASHED my nails. Not only did Tai take them off and fix them, but he's very patient, kind, and communicative. He truly is an artist. He actually did an acrylic design on me, not paint, which is difficult to do and quite time consuming. Go here if you want someone who's actually skilled at what they do, he says he was taught "if you're going to do something, do it right and do it well, or don't do it at all".

    The designs!

Horrible service and price gouging. Older woman who did my pedicure handed me "the list" of…read moreoptions. I chose the $45. I was never told gel polish is an extra $20. I understand the chrome was $10. $75 for a pedicure. Then when filling my acrylic nails it was $35 for a fill, $20 for gel, and $10 for chrome. And they didn't do my nails as I asked. Instead of staying there while they attempted to rationalize their prices and poor nail service I told them just to paint it so I could leave. 1. They failed to ever tell me before doing my nails that it would be an extra $40 for gel (mani & pedi). 2. I asked for clear nails then color French tip. They used this ugly brown color instead of clear. 3. They gooped on the nail acrylic fill, then they put on 6 layers of polish; color & clear. I have never paid so much for my nails that look horrendous and the employees talk about me while I'm sitting right there.

The water was scalding hot so she turned it down. I sat for a hour until my water was cold told the tech twice and she did nothing. Finally the older man started on my feet I said the 40 dollar service and gel polish. That 40 went to 65 nowhere is it posted nor did he communicate with me about an up charge for getting gel. So 25 bucks for gel polish and I even asked and he said nothing about it. So a hour service took 2 hours and a extra 25 bucks

No problem, we drove 45 minutes to get there. When we arrived at 11am we were greeted by Lee who seemed very friendly and polite. We were seated in the last 2 open chairs and began to listen to the casual conversations around us. $5 Lee was the entertainment. We understood the 1st in thing completely as we patiently waited. As the hours ticked by, I finally got my pedi prep by MaMa and then waited again for a very busy Rose to get around to complete the gel color. In the meantime, my SIL was finally getting her pedi from Lee. Again we waited. We were forced to watch a Vietnamese cooking show that was tuned in the entire time we were in the salon. While finishing her pedi, my SIL asked about the possibility of a mani as she is a nail biter and had very small nail beds. Rose assured her that it could be done but she would be using overlay rather than tips. Rose worked on my gel manicure first and then started the overlay. She even took before and after photos to post on her webpage. I was truly impressed. At just after 5pm we were finally finished. Even though the wait was ridiculous, we felt it was worth it. It was my treat and $255 later (including tip), feeling pretty, we left (after over 6 hours in the salon) with the assurance that we should return if we had any issues. After just 3 days one of SIL's acrylic overlays popped off. 2 of the other nails had jagged edges and several of my gels were chipping. The salon opened at 10am and since we knew of the 1st come 1st serve policy we were at the door at 9:25am. Shortly thereafter a well dressed lady showed up and advised she had a standing 10am appointment for a mani with Rose. Another very nice lady also showed up and said she was advised by Lee to come at 10am. When Lee opened the door promptly at 10, he advised he had a 10am pedi scheduled with yet another lady. So much for the no appointment, 1st come policy. When I tried to get the situation sorted out, Lee said "don't you make my day bad, I am diabetic and I'm already shaking". He advised me to sit and that Rose was on her way. He escorted the 2 pending pedis to a chair and asked my SIL to have a seat at a mani station. The 10am mani appointment went straight to Rose's station. Lee then began the pedis and began answering questions about us to the ladies he was attending to. "No, they don't come here, they need repairs". He also commented on SIL's lack of nail beds (while she was sitting behind him). When Rose showed up, he advised we were there for repairs. She remembered us right away and said "she has no nail beds, I said I would do my best". The mani lady knew we were there and why and advised to handle SIL first. Both Lee and Rose, almost in unison said no, she will take too long. So SIL sat, I sat and they talked about us both like we weren't even there. After waiting until after 10:30, my blood was boiling. I felt disrespected, lied to, and cheated. At this point I told my SIL, I had to leave and actually started to but came back in. I had to voice my ABSOLUTE FEELINGS OF FRUSTRATION & anger. "I'm not sure what I am more upset about, your disrespect of my SIL in front of her, your lies about appointments and 1st come 1st serve, the fact that I paid top dollar and tipped accordingly or you complete lack of customer service" or something to that effect. I advised I would leave a bad review to which Lee loudly responded he would have an answer to. What should have been a simple fix and repeat business for LA Nails, turned into people showing true colors. Experience showed new customers are not treated the same as the regulars. If you're new, look elsewhere.

Rose and Lee were very friendly, and kept acknowledging me with updates as to when it'd be my turn. I wanted a design instead of just polish, so I brought a pic for reference.. I told Rose to be creative and just do whatever.. I got there about 1:00, got seated at a station about 2:30 as there were 2 people ahead of me. Finished at 4:20.. Basically, I waited last minute (we drove from Tampa) but Vanessa was able to get me in. Even given my long hair, Vanessa did an AMAZING and fast job putting together two Dutch braids. My hair is the longest it's ever been and she has been the fastest at braiding it by far. It held up through three nights of sleep and 22 miles of racing, including log and sandbag carries where the braids would get caught under them, two muddy dunk walls and a swim. Was going to take them out before heading back to work but they still look great so I'm leaving them in an extra day! I highly recommend Vanessa if you're looking to get your hair braided quickly in a way that will last!!

My issue is I scheduled an appointment for multi tone colors (two colors or more) and I told her I wanted dark and blonde hightlights which is two colors and online it stated it would cost $107. I was charged $167.00 and this did not include a hair cut which was additional. She said there was breakage on my hair so she could cut it if needed. She then asked about my hair line what color i would like to show more....again charged additional. I asked for eye brow wax and tint which i knew would be extra of course. When I got the bill I was shocked at $342.00 I expected $200.00 but this is INSANE. When you go expecting one thing and being charged outrageously for a la carte I don't know how anyone can afford this place. I contacted Ulta and they assured me someone would contact me back and never heard anything. I will never be back.
