I do wish they'd convert the pedicure/manicure/massage room into a "boyfriend waiting room" with an xbox or something, but I guess they'd lose money that way :). As for it being a "house of gossip," girls like to talk. If one of them said something that upset you, speak with the proprietress. There are several stylists there to choose from if one of them rubs you the wrong way. Nedra's really good. UPDATE 11/19/2011: It is my understanding that Nedra no longer works here. But it's still a fine place.

He called late one afternoon and they made the appointment for 9am the following morning. The only information provided to them was our insurance as our policy covers medical massage treatment. I was called into work the next morning and because their office was closed, I did the courteous thing of messaging them, telling them the situation, and offered to reschedule. Because we are locals and have frequented events at their center, talked many times with the owner, we assumed that they would do the ethical thing and allow me to reschedule. However, they ran a card that they had kept, without our permission from a spa visit two years ago, (which was quite frankly subpar but wanted to give them another shot) in the amount of $125. When we called to dispute it, the person deferred to someone else who sent me a message stating that I didn't cancel within 24 hours and they were not refunding my money...although the span of time between the appointment being made and the actual appointment was far less than 24 hours. I am highly alarmed that they kept my card number without my permission; especially considering that two years had lapsed since I had last used the spa. So, if you must use their services, please do not give them your card. I don't even trust that they could keep my insurance information protected.

The late afternoon of my second day I was informed that the spa attendant could not find my information on the computer. After chatting with her she realized that I had made reservations at another facility. At this point I could not cancel my non-refundable previous reservations. I also had to move to a different cabin for the one I was staying in was rented to someone else. Any way due to her lack of management I ended up paying for both places. She gave me one night free..... the trip that should have cost me $400 cost me over $1000.

My first complaint was it took me six attempts to setup my appointment by phone the call dropped six times. When I was setting up my appointment I stated that I was new to the area while I was talking with the receptionist I checking to make sure the physical address that is listed was right . I was told there was no changed in the physical address . They are not and due to the lack of directions I was late 15 minutes. The stylist Had already filled my slot . The salon is said the only thing she could do for me is trim . Incompetency and the lack of giving good direction caused this ! My reason of getting a haircut is that I am going to my dad's funeral . directions should be better known and maybe the salon should give people a call when they say they are new to the area . The salon is in a dead zone so you cannot call when you're driving . It was due to their lack of informing me that they had moved informing me that they were in a dead zone so I would not be able to make the call should been the courtesy . I was irritated for 4 days and couldn't even wear underwear it hurt so bad. The esthetician waxed the same area about 5 times, which I've never experienced. I had wax left all over the area and thankfully I had wax off to remove the excess (I've used this product many times and was not the cause of the irritation). The part that left me the most unsatisfied was the fact I had to get another wax once I came to the beach because there was so much hair left I was embarrassed to wear a bathing suit. DO NOT GET A WAX HERE.

I have never been more uncomfortable in my life- she was upset I had cancelled, which I can understand (but to my credit I was asked to change to a time that was earlier than expected), but she seemed extremely annoyed that I had acrylic nails and needed one fixed. I really would have liked to get a full set and for the price I can't believe that one fixed nail and a polish change cost so much. I also showed her a picture of what I wanted and during the manicure asked if I could have two colors in the background which I think made her confused because she didn't add any designs on top of those colors. She seemed rushed, annoyed and really acted like it was a nuisance to have a customer . I won't go back ever for my nails and I don't even want To go back for a facial . The whole point of this smaller place is personal attention and consideration, but I just felt very uncomfortable. I don't think it's worth it for nails because they are apparently way more expensive than other places I have been to, and I don't know if I can go back for a facial either . The massages were good too, I just wasn't ever able to get a time after work. I think if you're a busier professional and have changes to your schedule this place doesn't want to accommodate that .

Today I was refused service 6/19/24 at 4:30pm, even though I waited days for the appointment, explained my situation by phone and the stylist let me sit past my appointment time before she even brought me back. I was shocked that she was so nasty to me before I could hardly get a word out. She claimed that the perm wouldn't take, but my hair was in the exact same condition last year when the other stylist successfully permed my hair. In fact, I have been getting perms for decades with varying degrees of organic henna remaining in my hair, and never had a problem. She was so loud and obnoxious, that everyone in the salon was watching. I had no choice but to leave, since no one would help me, and the humiliation was so great that I was in tears to be put on display like that! I felt like I committed a crime!
