He called late one afternoon and they made the appointment for 9am the following morning. The only information provided to them was our insurance as our policy covers medical massage treatment. I was called into work the next morning and because their office was closed, I did the courteous thing of messaging them, telling them the situation, and offered to reschedule. Because we are locals and have frequented events at their center, talked many times with the owner, we assumed that they would do the ethical thing and allow me to reschedule. However, they ran a card that they had kept, without our permission from a spa visit two years ago, (which was quite frankly subpar but wanted to give them another shot) in the amount of $125. When we called to dispute it, the person deferred to someone else who sent me a message stating that I didn't cancel within 24 hours and they were not refunding my money...although the span of time between the appointment being made and the actual appointment was far less than 24 hours. I am highly alarmed that they kept my card number without my permission; especially considering that two years had lapsed since I had last used the spa. So, if you must use their services, please do not give them your card. I don't even trust that they could keep my insurance information protected.

Feeling the coolness of the breeze, the joy upon my dog's face, and the friendliness of everyone around I felt relaxed and assured that my trip to the mountains would restore the emptiness I felt inside. The late afternoon of my second day I was informed that the spa attendant could not find my information on the computer. After chatting with her she realized that I had made reservations at another facility. At this point I could not cancel my non-refundable previous reservations. I also had to move to a different cabin for the one I was staying in was rented to someone else. Any way due to her lack of management I ended up paying for both places. She gave me one night free..... the trip that should have cost me $400 cost me over $1000.

My original plan was to go to the salon in Fayetteville because they did an AMAZING job last time. They were affordable (only $50) and I loved the cat's eye color. I felt like my hands were IN good hands. However, I saw a place in Oak Hill next to Big Lots and thought I would give them a try. At first, I thought it was new. Then, the guy told me they'd been open for ten years. My bad. I found a really pretty pink cat's eye that I liked. I didn't see prices listed, which wasn't a huge deal breaker. When he began drilling the old color off, it started hurting. I'm talking BURNING. The tool must have been faulty or old. It felt like my fingers were on fire. I gritted my teeth. I didn't want to make a scene or seem like a cry baby. When he started working on my cuticles, he drew blood multiple times. Even when he was done with the color and fill-in, I had to literally clean blood out of my nail bed. I snapped pictures but deleted them when I saw MORE blood on my fingers. He used that drill from hell repeatedly. It was so bad that at one point, I told myself that if I lived through childbirth, I can live through this. No joke. The heat that the drill was putting off was not normal... or he wasn't doing something right. Something was very wrong. The polish was sloppy. I had polish on my fingers and the sides of my hands. I had to scrape it off my skin and file down the sides of my nails more when I got back into my car. I didn't ask for magnetic flower designs on some of my nails, but he put them on my nails anyways. I'm not super upset with the flowers. However, you can't really see them with this particular color. Actually, the whole cat's eye isn't as intense as my old cat's eye color. It's a pretty pink, but it doesn't give me the WOW factor that the sample did when I selected it. The polish is messed up on my middle nail on the left hand and it has a bubble on my thumb nail on my right. My fingers are still sore. It's sad because I see getting my nails done as a therapeutic experience -- my time for relaxation. This experience was anything BUT that. Next time, I'll just go back to Fayetteville. Oh, and they were $65, not including tip.

I was shocked that she was so nasty to me before I could hardly get a word out. She claimed that the perm wouldn't take, but my hair was in the exact same condition last year when the other stylist successfully permed my hair. In fact, I have been getting perms for decades with varying degrees of organic henna remaining in my hair, and never had a problem. She was so loud and obnoxious, that everyone in the salon was watching. I had no choice but to leave, since no one would help me, and the humiliation was so great that I was in tears to be put on display like that! I felt like I committed a crime!
