Man, I loved this shop until I talked to the bald guy with tattoos (who upon looking at their…read moreInstagram is the owner of the shop). I've actually never met anyone behind the counter of a plant shop who was as aggressive or terse as this guy lol it's almost comical. I had bought a decent amount of plants from here about a year ago and they were doing great so I decided to stop in and get them repotted. I asked the man at the front desk how the repotting works and he was very condescending, short and sassy. I understand having a personality but when I asked "if I bought the plant here is there still a repotting fee" he said "congratulations on buying the plant here and supporting local" in the rudest way possible. I have no issue paying a repotting fee I was just asking for clarification and he decided that was the perfect time to be rude lol it was the weirdest thing. When I said I was taken aback by his attitude he continued to escalate. Anyway, you can easily just buy plants elsewhere and skip the condescending man who works here and owns the shop.

I asked around extensively about what washer and dryer to buy and several friends and family all recommended Speed Queen, which Stouts carries. We bought them and it is such a relief to have a bigger capacity machine that gets the job done. Whenever we shop furniture or appliances we always make sure to stop by Stouts in our searching. We also bought a mattress there which we have had and loved for well over a year now. My daughter is jealous and wishes we'd get another one so she could inherit it.

Once we decided what we were going to paint, we had a small tutorial from the employees. They have the paint samples on tiles, so you can see exactly what color it will turn out looking like when it's done, which was really helpful in finding the right paint color. I had expected them to at least be able to take some of the pink out, they did and put white roses in but there were maybe four white roses in the store. I have looked forward to my wedding for 15 years. I waited a long time and all I wanted was white roses. I literally feel like I got nothing like I asked for and then when I asked to make it right I got told they couldn't afford to lose money. I don't understand how ruining my flowers for my big day should be at my cost. I hated the flowers and told them as much but they didn't seem to care. it really sucks to support local companies who don't care about our community.

Still no response. The next day I reached Amanda by phone; she said their prices were typically low and they wouldn't be undersold. I told her I had gotten a quote in California but that I would prefer to do business locally and avoid the freight charge. She did respond with an email quote very quickly; it was at least 30% higher than a quote I had from a California retailer INCLUDING a freight charge to ship to Virgin, Utah. When I let her know initially that she was high, she told me to send a written quote with the competitive pricing and that - once again - they wouldn't be undersold. That didn't feel ethical or fair to the salesperson who had worked hard to provide the lower price. Additionally, why should I do their work for them? Look elsewhere.
