    I kept the original review under this cuz I want you to see how quickly your experience can change. It's been a month since the original review. I just made my 2nd payment on the vehicle a few days ago. Since the purchase I have moved 3500 miles away to Oregon. The vehicle was not driven. It was transported on a 4wheel vehicle carrier and never ever left my sight. I said very clearly that if there was any issue with the vehicle we knew about I had no issue paying to have it fixed but the vehicle needed to be in reasonably good condition once I left with it. I would also point out it "passed" vehicle inspection a couple weeks before I bought it from the dealership. The dealership had it inspected. The control arm just rotted right off the rear slip. It's been hanging in mid air scraping against the brake line. Thank god I caught it today. I found my local Toyota dealer. Introduced myself to the service manager because I was looking to begin upgrading my new vehicle. We looked around. Of course we noticed some things to keep an eye. Then we got to the back. He made 3 things very clear. That it just happened. It's highly unlikely the dealership didn't know about it because new wiring has recently been installed ON the thing and it's spotless. It should not have passed any vehicle inspection under any circumstances. This was dangerous I now have to scramble for an experienced frame welder to hopefully repair it. OR I need to find somehow an entire new slip. Either option is gonna cost thousands as well as time with no vehicle. This is everything they say about "car dealer" made real in one simple sale. Original Ok so I was searching for an FJ Cruiser. Fan of the vehicle, owned it before, familiar with it. Buying it can be a little bit of a minefield. My previous attempt to purchase it had been an expensive, time consuming effort where the owner of the dealership had ended up completely wasting my time. Hundreds of miles driven left a bad taste in my mouth. Upon discovering Balise had one I did my research thoroughly. In truth the car was good as sold before I arrived as long as no one threw me a red flag or nasty surprise. I arrived before opening and a very kind rep kept me company til the sales team came in to start their day. Eventually the Sales Manager arrived and I was very up front and blunt with him about my previous experience. Stressing I didn't want my or his time wasted with false promises. He was remarkably kind and patient with my guarded attitude. He personally walked the vehicle with me on a COLD drizzling day as I went over it with a flashlight looking at the troubled areas. We test drove it and I was very impressed with the vehicle itself almost at go. It wasn't perfect, it's used, but it was a sound vehicle at a fair price. Test drive over I asked to move the process forward. I was then handed off to Dan who would be my sales guy from that step forward. He also was very polite and understanding, answering as many questions as I needed answered, never showing a hint of being anything less than what I needed him to be so I'd feel comfortable. I'm detail oriented, done sales more than half my life. Worked for reputables and conmen alike. So I was looking for surprises. I also have been putting a LOT of effort into rebuilding my credit so I was wary there as well for the unexpected bad news. I didn't get any. Still haven't. We did not haggle price. I don't do that. I wasn't pushed towards any features, I was asked what I cared about and plainly shown cost vs reward. We discussed some minor repairs I'd like done. It was no charge. Did the deed, signed the lines, picked up my car and of course immediately took it to my guy. No surprises. I promised a good review because I value word of mouth. You don't want cold calls, don't want pushy dealers? You reward good service by putting as much effort to reward it as you do reporting a scam artist. You keep guys like Balise in business for being straight shooters. And this was good service. If I buy a car for the wife I'm coming here 1st. You should too. Seriously.

    Ok, here's a revised review regarding my last visit to Balise Subaru. Let's called this a very good recovery on their part. After my last visit, the service manager was kind enough to reach out to me directly. Balise more than made up for the ball-dropped on my previous visit, and I really was impressed. I stand corrected, and quite satisfied with this experience! Thanks again Balise!!

    atempted to get my car serviced nobody picks up the phone or calls you back. Very poor service

I had yet another problem yesterday and went over to Warwick BMW to drop off the car. I decided to take the loaner they gave me and drive over to Lexus in the same park. I realized that my favorite tech from BMW now worked at Lexus when I arrived and he told me to talk to Kyle. I told Kyle that I was interested in a GX 470, but needed to see how much the BMW fix would cost before I committed. Fast forward a couple of hours....the BMW fix was going to be more than $2K and Kyle had taken $8K off the price of the Lexus. Done deal!! Great employees and specifically service folks. If you are in need of help give Ryan a call.....he will always tell you the truth!

    I've owned the car 3+ months and I've used the service department twice (5k maintenance and a few…read moredealer-only adjustments). Now that the new car smell is gone, I can judge the transaction with a clear head and can say buying a new car here was a great decision and an extremely - dare I say it? - easy and pleasant experience!! Three visits to test drive (Dave) to make sure I chose the right model for me, and two email exchanges with the sales manager (Geoff) and the deal was made. After joining the forums and FB group for the TX I can say I think I got a very fair deal. No pressure at all (we've all heard the horror stories of new car shopping) - just a polite and civil back and forth. My service advisor (Peppino) has been an absolute delight to work with. Love the car - and the dealership experience has been "Very Lexus". I would recommend letting these folks have a chance to earn your business; I think they will. Love my TX - thanks guys!!
