The beauty of M/Body is that they really offer everything, including personal training and some options for getting workouts in around normal class times. HIIT classes were (and still are) my absolute favorite, and the classes here are exciting and station based. I will never take barre again based on my experience here, but that has more to do with me and nothing to do with the quality of the classes - pretty sure this is one of the best barre experiences in the area...I just think all barre experiences are criminal and TORTURE. I digress. If you're looking for a snappy, clean facility in a perfect location, M/Body is for you. They consistently run specials on pricing and are especially good to their first timers. Jesse and their mom, Julie, kept teaching and eventually found a new home inside Sustainable Wellness, where they now offer classes in a private, peaceful space. Check their website for updated class info and location details. Their classes are wonderful for everyone (for real) from total beginners to seasoned yogis. I especially love Julie's Yin Yoga series, and Jesse offers a wide range of classes, including special sessions where the proceeds go to selected charities. They also host sound baths and Yoga & Tarot classes during the four solstices, which are always a treat. The space is bright, inviting, and stocked with everything you need. Parking is shared since it's located in Village Gate, so give yourself a little extra time to find parking. Give it a whirl you will enjoy.

I had a…read morereally nice time connecting with new yoga spots and vendors, and I later learned about their HikYoga programs where they take yoga into nature for outdoor events. While I haven't attended any of the nature events, I attended this years yoga festival online. I thought they did an amazing job curating different types of yoga from around the world. My favorite session was the Red Rocks slow flow live from Arizona. All of the video was extremely high quality and never buffered even for a minute. They also integrated different types of fitness and wellness classes (though I didn't pay much attention to those). I follow HikYoga via social media and newsletter and am always impressed with the cool things they are doing. They host events all over the USA, particularly in New York and Ohio. I've always had such wonderful experiences with them and hope the pandemic eases up soon so they can return to normal!

Most recently they purchased a load of equipment from a gym that just closed up. This purchase added on some extra machines and also added some new exercises that weren't here previously. The gym atmosphere is like a family, everyone knows each other for the most part. You have some serious exercise people but also the average people looking to improve or keep their fitness levels up. They also have a tight knit group of martial arts instructors and students that take part in various events and activites either here or in the Northeast US. S&S has various memberships for all types (seniors, students, etc.). I love this place and as I have seen other places come and go in the area, S&S has been a rock for fitness needs in the area. It's a circuit training/HIIT style workout, where you roll around the studio and run through a series of different exercises designed to get your whole body moving and sweating and just in better overall shape. There's some work on machines (ski, treadmill, bike, etc.), weights, bodyweight exercises, and more. If you've ever done F45 or something similar, it's not far off, but it's a cool local shop with personable coaches in a clean environment with surprisingly nice facilities and even products in the bathroom for when you're through. Everyone we spoke with from the front desk to the trainers leading the session to the other folks working out seemed cool, and we'll definitely be back when we're in town. Like most workouts (and many other things in life), you get out what you put in. Meaning, if you come in ready to see what your body can do, you'll get a great sweat on. They have a shirt for sale that says, "But did you die?" And I like that. Bring your own towel.
