It is hard not to wonder if I was tricked. And I do not know the name of the therapist who works there-- not the temp but the long-term employee. She never introduced herself and remained consistently chilly. I have reluctantly concluded that she is not an asset to your practice. I don't know if your inattention to detail is incompetence or purposeful. There is also a lack of follow-through. For example, I asked if I should be doing exercises at home and was told twice that I would be given some. She gave me none. She then promised to email them to me. Nope There is also a general failure to explain the purpose of exercises, which is fundamental to the practice of PT. I see a reluctance to talk with patients beyond what seems absolutely necessary, keeping a distance that may benefit therapists but feels a bit chilly. The casualness with which staff treat patients can feel like neglect. . And now I see reminders for appointments that I KNOW I cancelled. I have decided to cease therapy with Ryan Ranch. This is clearly not a therapeutic relationship for me.

I went in with a torn calf muscle from basketball, after 2 weeks on crutches, hoping to return to the court in 8-12 weeks. I chose Performance PT almost solely bc they had quick availability while other places were scheduling weeks out, and I wanted to get started right away. The facility was excellent, clean, and bright. Dana at the front desk was really nice and helpful. Avery, the PT, was amazing--so knowledgeable and so fun to talk to. I saw her twice a week, always looked forward to it, and went away with lots to do on my own at home. After 7 (!) weeks I was able to return to the court at full strength--in time for my team's championship game (which we won!). My results were better than expected, and I'd recommend Avery to anyone.

Ken Peyton is an experienced, knowledgeable, and competent medical professional, as is Avery, his physical therapist partner in the practice. There is a deliberative approach to the therapy here that is orchestrated in concert with the prescriptions provided by the consulting physicians. The key word underscoring a successful relationship and outcome with a physical therapist is trust. We have trusted the individuals who support this practice for twenty years; our lives have been healthier and stronger, validated by that trust.
