There is now a Tesla Supercharger so navigate to that instead of the cafe so that your Tesla preconditions while you enjoy your morning. They no longer support their own app and have turned the keys over to Square to create an account to make it easier to pay and reorder. The ready times you get in the app are later than it's usually ready so I recommend giving them 10-20 minutes lead time. Here's my rating of the variety of foods and drinks I've tried. Undertow - 8 - Fun twist on a cortado as the half and half is cold and they add a splash of vanilla. The hot espresso is carefully floated on top of the milk so that when you drink you feel the cold "underflow" of vanilla milk. Cortado- 8 - Small but powerful sip of espresso. I prefer it with half and half and a touch of sugar over Journey's method but it is a tasty sip. Lavender Latte - -10 - the best version of a lavender latte you'll ever have. Cherry Blossom Latte - 9 - The cherry syrup is very forward but blends nicely into the latte which gives it light finish. The coffee does get a touch lost so add an extra shot. Citrus Cocoa Latte - 9 - The orange syrup is prevalent throughout the drink but the cocoa starts to stand up more the last half of the drink. I don't prefer chocolate drinks but this doesn't taste like a mocha at all. Very well done Journey!!! Veggie n Egg Breakfast Wrap - 7 - Light and flavorful but needs some pop from another ingredient. I recommend using the Tapatio hit sauce to elevate it above our 7 rating for those that want some pop of flavor and can handle spice. Breakfast Hand Pie - 6 - The pastry wasn't crispy but it did have some crispy seeds on it to save the texture, a bit gummy for my liking. The filling was also creamy with more cheese than needed (and I love cheese). Although good, I wouldn't get it again because the flavor of the filling fell flat. First Class Wrap - 10 - If you can handle spice, the chipotle sauce is amazing amidst the variety of ingredients. This is my go-to and everybody I introduce it to gets it as well. Every business partner I've introduced this right off the freeway coffee stop has loved and kept as their own. It's a no brainer if you're headed down I-80.

One of the biggest highlights of my visit was the matcha latte. Madeleine uses DONA First Flush Ceremonial Matcha, and you can really taste the quality of the matcha in the finished drink. DONA sources its matcha from small producers in Japan, and the matcha is hand-plucked and traditionally stone-milled. The latte had a beautiful, vibrant green color and a smooth, creamy texture, with a noticeable matcha flavor that wasn't hidden behind too much sweetness. It had a nice balance of earthy, toasty, and slightly nutty flavors with a clean finish. The heart latte art on top was also a beautiful touch. As someone who really enjoys matcha, I appreciated that they're using a quality matcha rather than treating it as an afterthought on the drink menu. I paired the matcha with one of their savory crêpes with ham and egg. The crêpe was thin, tender, and nicely cooked, with plenty of filling and a perfectly runny egg that brought everything together. It also came with a fresh side salad, which made the whole plate feel balanced and substantial without being too heavy. Of course, I also had to check out the macarons. The selection here is impressive, especially because they aren't afraid to get creative with the flavors. I saw everything from strawberry and peach cobbler to coconut raspberry and chocolate-covered cherry, along with some really unexpected savory-inspired flavors like elote. There are plenty of options to choose from, and it makes you want to come back just to work your way through more of them. The outdoor seating was another highlight of the experience. It was such a nice place to relax with a matcha and crêpe rather than feeling rushed through breakfast. Madeleine's Macarons is definitely worth visiting while you're in Yountville. Between the DONA matcha, freshly prepared crêpes, huge selection of creative macarons, and inviting atmosphere, there's a lot more here than the name might initially suggest. I would absolutely come back, especially for another matcha latte. Five stars!

The shop is small inside, but there's seating in the back. We got a dozen assorted macarons for $40, and each flavor was so good. We were a little impatient and didn't wait for some of them to fully soften up before diving in, but they were still great. Macaron Flavors We Tried (all 5/5): - Watermelon Tajín - Curry Coconut (kids least favorite but I enjoyed it) - Elote - Blueberry Cheesecake - Lavender - Salted Caramel - Passionfruit - Cookie Butter I also tried their Tiramisu Cold Brew, which I really enjoyed. I can't wait to come back and try more of their macaron flavors!

I will mention most of their drinks have dairy (condensed milk or cream tops) so if you're dairy free, it might be hard to find a drink without customizing it. However, I think the baristas are super helpful! Also the macarons are delicious. They're made perfectly and we love grabbing a couple as a treat with coffee.

Unfortunately, we had the displeasure of being helped by Trish. She was noticeably rude to my sister from the start. The irritation and outright contempt she displayed were unlike anything we've experienced at this location. She even spoke negatively about our order to the coworker making the drinks while we were standing just a few feet away, which was incredibly unprofessional. When we received the no-ice drinks, we understood that ordering without ice might mean the cup wouldn't be completely full. However, the amount of the drink we were given was unacceptable. While the drinks are delicious and worth to us, they are $8.00! Thankfully, when we requested a refund, it was handled by a different employee who was kind, courteous, and professional. I want to end by saying that my sister was polite and respectful throughout the entire interaction. The way she was treated was completely uncalled for, and we left feeling very disappointed. We have been visiting this location for many years and have never had an experience like this before.
