Quite a decent bakery with a variety of goods. One can choose from a caked or a flaky crust egg tart; both are rather nice, though I think the flaky crust one tastes more elegant. The Bolo Bao (pineapple bun) was fairly decent as well, though the dough could have been softer. read more

I ordered off Uber eats not realizing this is the bakery at woodside, but I was so impressed with the cake. The blueberry flavour is prominent and is paired well with sponge cake and butter cream frosting. Would definitely recommend. read more

Located in the old Woodside Square, amongst all the seniors that now hang out in suburban malls lies Everbest Bakery. A typical Chinese bakery with your standard Hong Kong style buns such as hot dog, curry beef, pineapple, egg tarts etc. Nothing really stands here except that it's one of the cheaper bakeries around where the buns work out to about $1 each. At $1 you can't really go wrong...well at least until the workers started to scream at each other when they were arguing about how many egg tarts I bought:) Yep, can't discount that authentic hospitality:p 3 out of 5 for some cheap buns in the Scarborough area. read more

The buns used to be my favourite thing to eat as a snack or for breakfast. Back in the day they were 6 for $3.60, then raised to $4.20, now it's 6 for $6.00. I would no longer say it's worth it to buy 6 at this place, unless you're trying to eat all 6 in one day. They have a good variety of buns ranging from butter buns, toasted coconut buns, the raisin twists, to savoury bbq pork buns, tuna fish buns & more. Oh yeah, they also have pastries such as egg tarts, almond cookies, etc. This place makes their buns fresh every morning so you have to go early to eat them fresh. While they are fresh, there's definitely a downside to it. If you come later on in the days your preferred buns probably won't be there. Even if they are they are, it's probably stale by then. These are not buns you can bring home and eat the next day. Don't get me wrong, they are still delicious mid day and make for a good snack. The buns are around $1.25 each now. They only accept cash, btw. My favourite sweet bun is the plain pineapple bun. Not a fan of red bean & the coconut one is too grainy of a filling for me. As for my favourite savoury, it'd have to be the tuna bun. Second fav is the bbq pork, yum. The tuna here is my favourite just because the filling doesn't have the onions in it. Been here a number of times, and felt the urge to post something this time. It's more of a comment of the overall feel of the mall and area. It has an overall unsophisticated aura oozing around the air, but is definitely vibrant and culturally specific to Asians. As such, this bakery is right at home with its less fancy decorations, as one would come here for the quality of the food and couldn't care less about the busted sign, and 3/10 visual arrangements of trays and food. Think with your stomach, take in the aroma with your nose, and rely less on your eyes and you'll be happy you've indulged on some pretty good bakery. read more

Everbest Bakery is located inside Woodside Square. A Chinese bakery that sells mostly Chinese/Western version of buns and pastries. Convenient if you are shopping or running errands inside Woodside Square but definitely doesn't worth a special trip. - Winter melon (Wife) Cake is dry, the filling is hard and doesn't have much flavour - Egg Tart is a little better... but I think the custard a little too sugary The one thing really makes this place a 2 star is how the cashier use a dirty yellowish looking towel to wipe off the plastic trays that we put our selection of baked goods on... If you don't know where to look, just walk into Woodside Square and follow your nose. Bakery Everbest is located at the front entrance of Woodside Square facing Finch Ave. The bakery itself is located on a tiny corner and is constantly churning out freshly baked Chinese goods. Much of the buns are stuffed with some Westernized items like Ham and cheese, Chicken, and tuna salad, but they weren't bad. The best part of the place is a special where you can get 6 buns of any kind for $3.60. (Though you only get a box for 8 buns...) There are a variety of various buns to pick from, which was nice. I tried out Curry Beef, Tuna, Sausage, Ham and Cheese, Bacon, and Egg and Cheese. Every one of the buns had a nice sweet flavor but the fillings were pretty miniscule. The curry beef was a bit odd but I liked it. It was ground beef cooked with a dry curry, so it's more of a paste and not a very runny curry. I always enjoy tuna salad so the Tuna Bun wasn't bad either, but the filling was pretty small in portion size. The taste was done very well though. The sausage one is just a hot dog stuck in a warm bun. It's a pretty thin hot dog stuffed into a warm sweet bun. The Ham and Cheese, as well as the Bacon, were pretty weak as there appeared to be no filling and just a random slice of ham/bacon on the respective buns. the Egg and Cheese was pretty good as there is an egg patty with a slice of ham within the bun itself. Almost like a McMuffin but with a much warmer, sweeter bread. Prices are wonderful and the variety of buns is great. They also have cakes and custards if you're wondering where to look. I liked the place, but obviously you can get some similiar items elsewhere like T&T. read more

This bakery has been here for years, I've literally been a customer for almost twenty years! I would give it a five star because the quality of bread is amazing, but recently when I came here, I felt super uncomfortable. One of the ladies who works here stood outside to watch and makes sure you don't steal their bread, literally moving her entire head in every direction that you move. I don't come here often for them to recognize me, but really? I've been a customer for over two decades. I popped in earlier today for the egg tarts - they did not disappoint. Though some of them had little black dots in them (possibly burnt stuff falling in from previous batches?) and the dough was falling apart, that's probably because we came late and this was left. They were a bit hard to get out of the tin wrapper, but after that the taste was great and easy to bite into. It was pretty sweet and flaky. Overall, they were pretty good if you can overlook the small stuff. I usually get a bag of cupcakes from the front too. They're a bit dry but tasty nonetheless. They go great with milk. The people at the counter packaged the goods and rang us up quickly. There was also someone who came over and helped us with our tray, grabbing six egg tarts and bringing it to the counter. read more

This is one of my favourite chinese bakeries. The price is really cheap $3.60 for 6 buns. Also the buns are pretty tasty and usually fresh. However I would agree that the wintermelon cake is dry and the egg tarts aren't the best. The black bean pastry is hit or miss, sometime it is really good, othertimes it is dry and burnt tasting. read more
