So we contacted Grizzly after that company told us we needed to replace our compressor for $7000+ (and recommended we just replace the whole unit if we had to do that). Grizzly was able to come out same day during the heat wave. Joseph (our Grizzly service guy) called me on his way, came and asked a couple questions and told us what the two possible issues were based off the info he had. He got right to work on the unit on our roof. Joseph said it seemed like the capacitor which is what we had assumed was the issue as well, and went to get the part from the shop. He came back with the part and had our ac blowing cold air again shortly after. Joseph even talked to us about our washable filter being too thick and possibly causing our machine to work too hard and gave us info on purchasing a better washable filter option. Overall, Joseph did his job fantastically. He walked us through the process and was professional and extremely friendly. Working with Grizzly was actually about $90 cheaper than if we would have replaced the same part with the other company. Luckily for us, a terrible experience with one company made us reach out to Grizzly and we ended up with the best value and experience fixing our ac on a hot day. Would highly recommend this company and plan on continuing with Grizzly for future services. But biggest shout out to Joseph!!

On average I found it was at least half of what Sierra wanted to charge me. The need: Last winter I had gotten several quotes for replacing my aging furnace and adding AC. Most of the quotes were in the $14k range, with one quote dropping down to the $8k range. These were all homewise quotes (seems to be standard) I just wasn't ready at the time, since I needed my electrical panel replaced. The Draw: Saw the "$20,000? No way." ad on Facebook. Saw other ads saying, "Get it online just by answering a few questions!" Problem is you never get an instant quote. Instead you get someone calling your number in the next few days. I figured it'd be in range of the other quotes. I told the ladies on the phone what I would be looking to pay. Pulling the wool: Well besides no "instant online quote" someone was dispatched to my house. They were pleasant enough, but they kept trying to gaslight me. It's not easy to gaslight me. I know what these things cost from my day career in IT and Facilities work. I've had to get this type of equipment installed several times. I know the approximate cost of materials, labor, and what it *should* cost. The unexpected: Despite all of this expertise the guy sent to my house presented me with an offensively bad quote. They wanted to tear out all of my duct work, replacing it with flex duct. (Just last year it was camera inspected and I was shown it was fine) to the tune of $5,000. The Condenser, air handler, and furnace was $13k (as shown in the quote screenshot) The Gaslighting: This is where things too a big turn. I plainly told him, "We are not at the same place here, I'll have to pass" and I would expect at least some level of negotiation. "Well, I can drop the price to X" Instead it was "It's only $250 a month!" with no explanation of the terms/number of payments. $250@mo for 52 months? $250@mo until the balance is paid? My wife and I both have credit scores in the 800's. We're very good with our finances. "I had a guy quote me $8k last year" was passed off as impossible. No, it's not impossible in the dead of winter when AC installers are starved for work. Dear Reader, just google these components: 1-3 Ton 14.3 SEER2 R-32 single stage condenser unit-Goodman GLXS4BA3610 1-3 Ton 14.3 SEER2 R-32 upflow/horizontal evaporator coil-Aspen DE36D4D175R530 1-80% 60,000 BTU Up flow/horizontal single stage Low Nox gas furnace-Goodman GR9S800604BX Add up the price. It's not $13k. I also question the expertise here, as Low Nox is no longer acceptable for installs. BAAQMB has mandated Ultra Low Nox. Bad price, gaslighting, unnecessary work, and lacked knowledge of local regulations. I dodged a bullet. **Edit** Shortly after this review I got a call from Sierra, arguing over my review. I just hung up, then got a harassing text stating this was over "feelings" before blocking the number. The gist of my experience is there was expectations that were setup by the ads that were not met by the prices, expertise, or lack of professionalism.

They sent Thomas out to take a look, he was very up front about the condition of the unit and advised that there was alot of issues, which we totally get. He was very thorough and took a lot of reference photos and explained what he was doing. We agreed to look at getting a new system and set up a meeting with Kyle for later the afternoon. Kyle was also amazing and went over the pricing and options, you never want to pay for a new AC unit but it's a necessity here so and they made sure we had a great deal. Installation will be later this week! I look forward to a frosty summer!

After a quick analysis, said it was my lack of freon and sure enough, it was! Suggested I put sealant in first to keep the freon from leaking and then poured in the needed amount of R-410 freon and my AC is back on which is really important for an upstairs home! Failure of the part is a Lennox issue and not a failure of All-Air. Labor for the job was $1800 for a job that took one service rep a little more than 3 hours. That beat the $3900 estimate that I got from another hvac company in the area that was sending 2 service reps for the job. Robert arrived on time and was polite and professional. I am thankful that All-Air was able to fix the problem and appreciated the help of Ray who made the initial diagnosis and topped off my coolant so that my AC system actually cooled my home and again for Robert who replaced the coil.

Phillip the owner quickly contacted me back to set up my appointment. Zack was the tech who came out. He performed probably the most thorough diagnostic of our HVAC of anyone we have had out. He quickly diagnosed the problem we were currently having as well as an issue which has been plaguing us since the unit was installed and resulted in the replacement of no less than five inducer blowers (@ $600 each.) Zack was courteous, friendly and professional and most importantly knew what he was doing. He also didn't fall off the roof which we greatly appreciated. Hawk is a small business as opposed to a mega company that doesn't care about you long term, who just do what it takes to get you going and move on. Unfortunately I have dealt with a couple of those companies. Just not the same quality of service. I cannot provide a stronger recommendation for a HVAC company than Hawk. They took care of us and I am pleased to support a fellow small business. Two gigantic thumbs up!

I then said "So you're not Lodi (S H&C)?" and she said "I can help you with all your heating and a/c needs". Sounded like an AI but I heard background noises that made me think she wasn't an AI. Sometimes people need to learn Customer Service. This was simply to run a 12' wire, go through a wall, and hook it up to a new thermostat. It was easy money in the bank (I would've paid HUNDREDS just to get it working)...yet cos they ACTED (or spoke words that INDICATED) like they were an AI, I hung up. Last summer during a heat wave, our 14 year old air conditioner stopped blowing cold air. It was the weekend and we could not find any company that had someone to come out on a Sunday and the first available appointment was the next Tuesday. We called Baker's Heating and Air and spoke with Rod, the owner. He said he had a full schedule that Monday but if we could meet him at 6:00 a.m. in the morning he could swing by on his way to his first scheduled job. He came by right on time and was able to fix the problem for only a regular service call fee. Great service and a very nice person. We highly recommend them. read more

Troy from Baker's has service our AC/Heating Unit for years. But after 22 years, our unit was going out and it was only blowing out very little cool air. We went through a whole weekend with high temp and with my asthma being so bad, it was very difficult for me. Baker's came out to replace our AC and Heating Unit within a week. It is with deep disappointment that I must update my review to reflect a series of serious issues…read morewe experienced with this company. I strongly advise against hiring them. While I believe the owner/manager intends to deliver high-quality service, the actual workmanship during the installation of our HVAC system was alarmingly negligent. Shortly after installation, an electrician who came to install a chandelier discovered multiple beer bottles in the attic near the HVAC system. Given that the HVAC team was the only one with access to the attic after we had moved in and our inspector had been in the attic with us --and that we had noticed missing beers from our fridge--the correlation was clear. When I raised this concern with the company, it was dismissed outright, with a firm denial rather than an investigation. The electrician also noted that the HVAC system's power had been improperly run to a 220-volt line in our garage, which he described as "illegal and definitely not to code." Again, when we raised this issue, the company was defensive and only briefly mentioned a potential fix, which was never completed. The problems continued: we noticed the HVAC system was underperforming in certain areas of the house. Upon hiring another company to inspect, we discovered: The HVAC zones were incorrectly set up. The unit was operating at only 30% capacity. The plenum was torn, meaning we were inadvertently heating and cooling our attic. Alarmingly, someone had written "F this install" on one of the rafters. Due to the severity of these issues, we are filing a report with the Better Business Bureau and pursuing legal action. In summary: this company's work is substandard, unsafe, and unprofessional. Hiring them will likely lead to serious frustration, additional expenses, and potential hazards. Avoid at all costs.

When he first arrived, he took the time to listen to all of my concerns and asked exactly what I had been noticing. He was incredibly respectful of our home, immediately putting on shoe covers to protect our floors before doing a single thing. He thoroughly checked everything--from the thermostat to testing the indoor furnace for potential leaks. What I appreciated most was his total transparency and complete lack of high-pressure sales tactics. In regards to their tech's I have had the same one, Josh, for approximately 3 years. In this 3 year period I have come to regard him as a friend. A friend always cares and is always dependable and Josh has these qualities. Yesterday, I started having issues with my central air and Josh arrived this morning to save my day. After eliminating several possibilities, he discovered there was a blockage that was preventing the airflow. The blockage was due to the coils the coils being completely covered with debris. Now, the unit is running again as if it was brand new. Josh took all the necessary time needed to alleviate my problem. He is very thorough, knowledgeable, and personable and I thank Advanced Tech for hiring this wonderful guy. Thank you Josh for all that you do, not only for me, but for all your customers.

I saw all the 5 star reviews on Yelp so I was immediately relieved and comfortable. Travor arrived on time. He figured out the problem in about 5 minutes. He said I had a broken wire and a bad capacitor in the attic. He swapped out the capacitor for a new one and fixed the wiring. I think he was in my attic for 20 minutes and the job was done. Very fair pricing. Nice guy as well. I will use him for all my heating & AC needs for now on.
