So in show up after confirming an edible image was ready to be picked up (due to original one the colors fading) I was told "yes image is ready we will print it as soon as you come in and it takes 30 seconds". I started taking classes and going to their free demonstrations offered on Wednesdays for some months now. Their instructors are great, friendly and very knowledgeable. The staff is amazing. Very helpful and they know their products, which by the way, they have better prices without the yearly "membership" fee that stores like The Cakewalk have. I can buy stuff at Bakers Bodega at their regular low price, for what other stores charge IF you had their membership. Manny, the owner, is always there and ready to jump in and help you with anything. Kathy, the Classroom Coordinator, keeps the monthly classes and free demonstrations fresh and different. I genuinely love this place because it's my one stop shop for all my needs, but I feel very disappointed not being able to return some boxes that were purchased online due to their store being closed. If I'm being understanding and patient due to the tough times, they should start least take into consideration that shopping online is not the same as in store. I don't mean to sound inconsiderate BUT I don't live close to the store at all. I drove 40 mins from Long Beach for some boxes I needed, but they were not the same boxes I usually get in store. One of the most important things any store can have is great customer service....this store exceeds in this. Every time I come in, I am greeted no matter how busy they are. There have been numerous times that the items I need are not in stock. The staff here have gone above and beyond to make certain the item is ordered and back on the shelves for me to purchase. Beside that I really like both the selection and the pricing for baking goods, it really was telling and impressive that a couple weeks ago the owner shut the place down on a Saturday (one of the best days of business) and a Monday to sanitize the place and put additional procedures in place due to COVID-19. I had the worst experience this morning at this place. I was a loyal customer until this morning, in the past I would have recommended this place NOT anymore. Not even an apology just the manager trying to justify why it happened. I called this morning before 10am to be exact it was 9:40 asked if I could order on line and pick up at the store I let the female who answered the phone that I was already sitting in the parking lot, she put me on hold went and asked if it could be done. She came back on the phone and said YES go ahead and order and pay the 10.00 RUSH fee. I ordered paid the RUSH fee waited 1 hour sitting in the parking lot NOONE called to tell me my order was ready. Website states Rush orders are filled within an hour from the time you placed your order. After waiting I called and was told let me see where your order is, comes back and says I'll pull it and have someone fill it for you. I then asked to get my Rush fee refunded in which I was told we can't refund it because you ordered before 10am, mind you I called to ask about ordering was never told that I had to wait until 10 am to place my order Nor does it state that on the website. Manager came and brought my order to my car and proceeded to be rude as to why I would not get a refund as if this process was my fault. After all this she tells me don't worry you'll get your 10.00 back I've yet to see it. Highly disappointed!!!!! read more

I would have given this store 5 stars, but they need to increase their Saturday hours. 12:00pm is too early for a Saturday. Most cake supply stores close at 3:00 or 4:00 on weekends. Other than that their prices and selection are top notch!! read more

I absolutely LOVE this place, the staff is extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. I no longer need to shop online for cake supplies, bakers bodega express always has what I need. They have an edible image printer, an entire wall of cookie cutters, colored buttercream and an array of fondant and colored gum paste. They have weekly demos and classes with EXCELLENT instructors. If you ever need help on how to construct, create, design or detail a dessert they're always willing to help you. I attended the Candy Apple class and I'm glad I did. The class was fun and the instructor was very thorough when teaching. The instructor provides the materials: apples, caramel, chocolate and each person brings their own tools: bowls, parchment paper, spatchulas etc. I highly recommend taking a baking or decorating class for the experience. read more

First I'm so HAPPY they opened a store much closer to me, its a very scaled back version on the original hence the EXPRESS in the title, but with that said everything you'd need to make a cake and decorate it , they differently need more of a selection with there molds, stencils area .. So I found this place online and I've been wanting to try my hand at Cake decorating; however I don't have the patience for baking and cooling cakes just yet, so intrigued by the idea that they have pre baked cake layers for purchase I decided to try them out. I was greeted at the door with Hand sanitizer and a temperature check by Amber, I went inside and was a little overwhelmed at all of the Amazing things they had, I asked Amber for help and woooow!!!
