The food taste was great, everything looked appetizing and was hot and fresh. I will say it looked like the owner was there while my food was prepped so maybe that increased the quality but I did not mind. My only complaint and the result of my rating is due to the employees lack of changing gloves and being sanitary. I witnessed someone go outside with gloves on, touch the door coming back inside then keeping those same gloves on to continue work. I've had it with this location. If you like tacos that are full of grease, this is the place for you. Two weeks in a row and 3 times within a month, these are the tacos I received from the drive thru. I don't have time to go into the restaurant to try and get a refund. I've addressed this specific issue before both with their corporate office and the manager of the store. I love Baker's, but this location does not drain their grease or use a slotted spoon or whatever to eliminate grease from the meat. I've rarely experienced this at other locations. So, because they do not care, I will show you what you can expect to get if you order anything with the taco meat. Do Better, Baker's. The customer service was quick, I did not have to wait forever in line and the worker Johlyn was incredibly kind she handed me my food with a warm smile and made sure I got the exact amount of sauce I politely asked for. This Bakers is the worst Bakers I have experienced in my opinion. Bakers definitely does not check Yelp and see the consistent one star reviews posted here. My biggest problem is their drive-thru. I've had to stop at this Bakers for food on multiple dates for over 7 years and I cannot get out of the drive thru in under 10 minutes no matter what time of day (and that's with one or two cars ahead of me)! My last visit, I actually timed it and with 4 cars ahead of me I ended up being there for 31 minutes when I received my food!!! This is not acceptable Bakers!! The food quality isn't as good as others but by the end of the line, I just don't care and want to leave with something to eat. The multiple people I've seen working the window are not very friendly like other locations, so I'm not quite sure what their internal problems are, maybe store management ?? I'm a glutton for punishment as this Bakers is the closest location to me but I'm at the point where I will just drive farther now as I have given them way too many chances. Even if you go inside, you're waiting for a long time. I tend to stay in the drive thru as this location does attract your typical homeless people inside and out so the ambiance is not great. I asked for it to be for here and she says "we don't have any trays " so I struggle to get my food to the table and pull it out of greasy bags. Was in town with my husband, and we went to grab lunch here had never been to this location, altho have tried other locations, we stopped at this one, was not to busy and was clean, however, what you would find at a typical eatery, any fast food, place. We ordered burger and a chicken sandwich, they messed up on my burger, I ordered no cheese as I am allergic, I told them and they made me another one, overall, the service was so so, the burger patty, was SUPER FLAT flatter then a normal burger could be. Had fries with them, they were not good, no flavor or taste to them. Bland, It seems like everything got smaller but prices were Triple!!!! for 1 burger combo small, 1 tostada,1 chicken sandwich, and a drink was almost 40 bucks OUTRAGEOUS, but I get it, its a business. So overall 1 to 10 I give this place at best a 6 OUT OF 10. I sure wish as consumers, do, the prices of 1952, would come back, I guess its a relic of the past, and not the present. On our way to Lake Arrowhead, a group of friends and I came here for a quick bite to eat. It was in the evening and we decided to eat inside. It was empty inside, most people used the drive thru here. There were quite a few employees at the register and in the kitchen though. Most of my friends got burgers, but I decided to go for the carnitas quesadilla that was posted outside. It wasn't on their regular menu, but they had a big poster in their window outside that advertised it so I wanted to try it out. We all got our food at different times, even though we ordered one after the other. Most people were finished with their food by the time I got mine. the kitchen seemed busy, so service was kinda slow. I also got a side of salsa with my quesadilla. It was a pretty big quesadilla. The tortilla was super crispy and there was a lot of carnitas in there. Probably more than cheese. The carnitas were ok, super meaty and very salty. The cheese was nice and melted. The salsa helped cut through the saltiness. It was a messy meal, just alright in my opinion. Good stop for on the road when you just need to fill up with something warm and savory. read more
