This is probably one of the cleanest Travel stops here in the city of Baker. With so many different eateries to eat at, sorry tho it's all fast food. Pizza Hut, Subway, Fat-burger,KFC with plenty of seats in the main room. Gas is a bit pricey here,because the next city would be Barstow and its about 90 miles south of this location. What I was impressed with that the Restrooms where very clean and very well maintained,Good Job. Keep up the work. The gas station itself also has a lot of snacks and finger foods for your road trip. Also there's several souvenirs from Vegas here,just in case you forgot to get someone something from Vegas like I did. Anyways I would recommend this place for your travel needs. 05/100. Went to get gas and paid. While I was there got food for the kids it ended up taking longer then I thought. After I went to pump the gas. We took too long to pump gas I understand but Martha was so rude about it and yelled at me. It was so weird she could have explained the rules to me but assumed I knew them. If the rules are so important and employees are gonna tell at customer they should have rules posted at pump. read more

Do not go to the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf at this stop unless you want your credit card information stolen. I was originally charged twice for my drink. Which I figured might happen because the clerk said the first time I scanned it didn't work so I scanned again. Looking at my credit card statement both charges went through. Then a month later, I was charged again. The person who I was with was also charged 3 times on different days for their coffee was well. So if you do need a coffee I recommend cash only here! read more

I'm giving this place a 4 star rating just because they have an electric car charging station that works. Everything here was within the range of what you would expect from your average side of the road stop. Nothing special here for sure. But the working car charger is what did it for me!! read more

Baker travel plaza is not post price tags on any of its drinks: energy drinks, cola's, beer, wine etc. I just paid almost $5 for diet coke. You don't find out how much anything it costs, until you get to cash register. read more

I was excited when this place first opened with all of the choices they were bringing, but I've since been disappointed. The last time I stopped it was 7:30 am and I was hoping for something from the Cinnabon or Coffee Bean to keep me going. Sadly, the only place open was Subway. I don't understand that. THEY STEAL YOUR CREDIT CARD! I stopped at Coffee Bean on my way home from Vegas and they said their credit card machine wasn't working right. They forced me to swipe instead of using Apple Pay. Not only did they double charge me that day, but I have been charged for the same amount every couple weeks, resulting in a total of $75 stolen. DO NOT SHOP HERE. read more

AVOID THIS COFFEE BEAN! Stopped at this Travel Plaza for coffee at Coffee Bean in May, have since been charged 4 times. Three times in June and again now in July, even though I canceled my card which means they are charging it as some sort of "pre approved transaction". Check your statements if you paid with a card, since a lot of times those coffee amounts are small and can easily go unnoticed, especially if being charged again and again months later. read more

On a bus trip to Southern California, this was where the tour company had their busses make a pit stop. It gave us a bathroom break, and it gave us the chance to buy coffee or something to eat. Since I rarely stop in Baker, it's not some place that I'll patronize often but now I know it's there. Plenty of parking but long bathroom lines--especially for the ladies room--if you arrive there when busses are there. The price of gas is ridiculous! Find somewhere else closer to Hesperia/Victorville and fill up there coming north or try to make it Las Vegas. Buy gas only if you're riding on fumes. read more

Baker Travel Plaza has expensive gas, but it's a good place to stop. It's a huge pitstop filled with tons of goods inside the main store plus there are other restaurants attached (froyo, Subway, KFC, etc). They had fairly clean bathrooms, but there was a very long line to use them (the women's, that is). YMMV! read more

Cute little stop on the way to Vegas. They have a variety of restaurants inside including Pizza Hut, Subway, Cinnabon, Coffee Bean and more. The gas is on the pricier side so I'd look elsewhere, but the bathrooms were very clean. They have parking on the side and the staff was friendly. read more

What a cute spot in the middle of nowhere on my way home! It has a really cool food court and the AC worked well. There's decent bathrooms and the convenience store next to the food court. We ended up getting some Yogurtland and I had a good experience. Next time I would like to try that burger spot I saw. I just wasn't too hungry at the moment. Some souvenirs are offered as well. All in all, it was a nice spot to decide to switch drivers. I'm glad we did. read more

this place is a pigsty. the bathrooms are missing toilet paper, paper towels, and toilet seat covers. several were out of order. I shudder to think about the employees who work in the 4-5 restaurants inside ; where do they wash their hands? you couldn't pay me to eat there. read more

Not too shabby. Stopped here on Friday night headed to San Diego, and again Sunday early afternoon on the way home. The parking lot is large, and the property is clean. It is a newer complex, so that is nice. It was busy inside, but everyone kept moving. The bathrooms were decent, and clean. There was a line to the ladies restroom, but isn't there always? It moved quickly, and there was room enough to stand and not be in the way of those leaving. The only complaint would be that the door to the stall I used did not close flush. I had to keep my hand on it to keep it closed. There always seems to be at least one of these in any given restroom. On Friday night we stopped at the Subway in the food court for a quick bite. The food was good, and the area was clean. However, the two working were the slowest people on earth. Brianna and Diana, I believe. Neither was in any hurry what-so-ever to be quick about their job. Brianna was extremely quiet, and we could barely hear her, but she was polite. I don't mind this location to stop, get gas and use the restroom. It is at the edge of town, and is easy to access. read more

Probably the cleanest travel stop you'll see between Vegas and SoCal. It was built recently, like in the last 10 years, so they designed it fairly well. Still need larger bathrooms, but that will always be the case. They have a great assortment of fast food restaurants along with plenty of seating if you don't want to eat in the car. The convenience stores has most of the conveniences you're looking for plus some fun useless junk which for some reason you end up buying. Warning though - and this goes for all of Baker, gas is about $1 more per gallon than in Vegas, and maybe 75 cents more than the L.A. area. That's because it's in the middle of nowhere - and frankly - because they can charge whatever they want because it is in the middle of nowhere. Anytime I am at a place in the middle of nowhere, I am very happy that someone has taken the initiative to build a facility to serve me. I am happy to pay higher prices to the people who brought the goodies, be it gas, food, drinks or snacks to the middle of nowhere and offers me the opportunity to be served. I am grateful to the people who work here and deliver the products as well. For me the Baker Travel Plaza is a nice gas station, A wonderful convenience store and a complete food court with so many choices. Sure I may have had better gourmet food in the big city, however the simple burger I got at the Fatburger counter was wonderful. To get a reasonably good burger with all the trimmings in Baker is very good by me. To get a full tank is very nice. To have a reasonably clean restroom is Fabulous. Thank you Baker Travel Plaza. A wonderful stop in the middle of the desert. read more

This has been one of our stops on the way to Las Vegas and on the way back home since it opened. Bathrooms always clean and they have a lot of variety of food and yogurt place so you can eat some food and have some desert after. read more

The market here doesn't have prices listed. I found out it's because everything is really expensive. $2.50 for a water. $3 for peach rings. This place is a good distance from Vegas and really busy, so they know they can get it. I wasn't going to go somewhere else to save $2. It still doesn't feel good to be gouged. Very disappointed. We prepaid for gas from pump #2 and the cashier authorized #5 instead, resulting in somebody else already running off with the gas by the time we spoke to her again (place was really busy). We clearly said 2 and reiterated it as well. However she wouldn't help us after even though its clearly not our mistake. Simply highway robbery. read more
