This PX is about average for what you see with an Aafees establishment. Don't expect to be paying the best prices for anything when you buy it here, but you can at least expect the quality to be decent. The variety of merchandise here is okay, they have the essentials. Out of all the PXs I've seen CONUS and OCONUS and across the branches, Fort Irwin probably has one of the least impressive PXs I've seen. For such a remote installation with 99% of the population living on post, it needs to be upgraded. Customer service is friendly and helpful, but selection of items is poor, with few choices for service members. Items are also poorly stocked. Since there is nothing around, there is no competition. I would say I would not return, but are you really left with any other choice? For Fort Irwin, it is functional and does the job. 3 stars. Meant to update this earlier; it is a lot more operational and 10 times better. Self-checkouts, bus normal checkout. They have a little of this, little of that. Electronics are little outdated, but hey, they have stuff and the shelves are never bare. Thats with rotational units and stationed people shopping.lol. Workers are amazing and helpful. They have a small food court, that still gets crazy with long lines and waits. But understand we are very remote so workers don't always want to drive 44 plus miles daily to work at a food court.lol. I will say this, it is not a Fort Bliss PX, but it has most basic items that people forget when they come here. Chargers, phones, pillows, grills, games, ear buds, Licky's and chewy's, survival items, coolers, exc. all an all, its perfect for this location, but not as big as some places. read more

Great store with generous and caring staff. I am with a JROTC unit out of LA. Our supply Sargent had a crisis. No pillows for 400 students! Clyde at Exchange saved the day. It's a PX, what do you expect? It's not the Navy Exchange. It's just like every other PX, except that we're isolated so if you don't travel away from the base you're going to rely on it. I will say we hardly ever go to the PX. If we do, it's because my kids failed to let me know about an upcoming project that requires supplies that my "Harry Potter closet/Barney bag" doesn't have. Otherwise, it's to pay a Military Star bill with a few exceptions here and there. I'll be honest and say I don't think I've ever been to the entire right side of the store (clothing, shoes, etc) Tip: If you're stocking up on snacks, do yourself a favor and just head to the commissary. Other than that, the workers I've encountered have been great. I've encountered Candi that likes Japanese stuff and complimented my tokidoki bag. I've also encountered a tall gentleman that asked if the Pokémon cards I was buying were for me or for a present (I'll admit they were for me) and he geeked out with me a bit about his Magic and Yu-gi-oh cards. Don't go in with any expectations and you'll be fine :) if you've been to other duty stations you'll know that the Army PXs are not the greatest shopping locations around the world lol Food Court: we don't even bother unless we really are desperate for some Baskin Robbins or someone is craving a Baja blast freeze. read more

It's a Px that is continuing to make improvements since I've been here. More items, newer items and they just installed self checkout. It has pretty much anything you might need to sustain you since the nearest Walmart is an hour away. read more

Not a bad little PX. My favorite things about the center are the barber shop, and a cute little boutique called Kaleidescope, where military spouses sell their crafts and home made treats. I love the sales that the PX randomly holds, and fun little events such as raffles. The clearance finds never fail to dissapoint. It is a small PX, and they run out of sizes often, so make sure you buy something with a quickness when you are lucky to find it in your size. Store employees are helpful. I do wish that we had more food options, and that the Baskin Robbins was big enough to actually offer 31 flavors. read more

You must bring an id even though you've been told by a work member of the px you don't need one unless you're buying something over a certain budget. She told me I need an id the next time I return back and you could tell in her tone she was irritated over not bringing an id. read more

This PX is receiving a low rating not due to its lack of items and exuberant, expensive prices but due to poor customer service as well as extreme long lines. Typically out of 7 registers only 1 is open, even during peak hours. There are at least 5 soldiers waiting in line every time I walk in here. It is very, very sad that PXs overseas in places like Korea have better service and a better inventory. Unfortunately this is a monopoly since the nearest other store is over 30 miles away. This PX could easily be improved upon by having a manager who actually cared and people that worked here not to just consume oxygen and receive a paycheck. read more

The store is bad in so many ways: first of all-it's expensive to shop there compared to other stores, the quality of products is poor too.It seems that each time I need something they are out :( the toy department could use some organizing on the daily basis, as everything else in fact. There are no price tags on a lot of items. And the selection of items is so small :( The store associates are usually nowhere to be found when you need some assistance. The customer service could use some extra staff. The food court gets so crowded during lunch time it's crazy! Again- there's not enough staff and they are very slow :( read more

i prefer the walmart in barstow but hey its fort irwin and this place is a 2 minute drive away.

It is like a broken down mall that's has three shops still open. But for this post that's all you need! So come on down and get whatever your heart desires... If it's in stock. It's what we got and sadly the closest place to get anything else is in a meth city 35 miles away. Also the bathrooms are unkept and the toilet paper is one ply. 5/10 read more

The selection for men's clothes is ridiculous for a px that is 30 miles from the nearest town you would think they would stock it much better. The men's shoe selection doesn't change often and has had the same shoes for sale for the past year and a half at least. Which doesn't make much sense considering other px's I've been change their selection frequently to shoes customers actually buy. It seems like it's more stocked for civilians that work on base rather than for soldiers and their families like it should be. read more

It's the only thing good we actually have on fort Irwin, and everyone will agree. Other than that, the PX hold practically all you need, but they could use more tools and car care stuff in their inventory. It's not to far from anything but it's the closet thing we got, unless you want to drive 31 miles to the nearest Walmart. It's cool how they added more food stuff but it's practically the same thing as every where else. read more
