Dropped by this bakery on a whim as we needed some baked goods to absorb the alcohol we have been…read moreconsistently consuming all day. Sooo...country trading hours are a little different to Metro Adelaide. We walked in around 2pm despite seeing the closed sign. This was how hungry we were. Quickly identified the pie warmer with only five offerings left I selected the kransky before you can say boo! Once ordered and paid, I took in the surroundings. They are a cosy little place with resembles more of a deli than a typical bakery. However, I must remember that a lot of products have been packed away, so this review is subjected to change and further amendments. I am unsure on what a typical kransky costs these days, but $5.00 seems a tad overpriced? It was lovely, not the best kransky that I have ever eaten, but filled the void completely. I shall return to try other items, perhaps a wurst or two. Afterall, they are a wurst haus!

Easily one of the WORST dining experiences I have ever had. My mom was actually threatened with the…read morepolice when we complained about the incredibly poor food and service! I had to ask for a cloth to clean my table when we sat down (maybe they were short staffed, so I didn't think much of it), when we placed our order the waitress didn't seem to know much about the menu or food (maybe she was new, so I didn't think much of it), then we received a 'thick shake' which was definitely not thick, received a lentil soup which turned out to be minestrone and received a coffee with an unwashed saucer (maybe they were busy...), but when I went to speak to the waitress who then called the older lady behind the counter who I assumed was the owner all hell broke loose! I was shouted at and told that she took offence to the fact that the soup was not what the menu said it was and was told in a very snotty attitude that she would speak to the staff about the thick shake to which I replied that I didn't think she actually was going to (because of her attitude towards me), it got even worse from there and she walked away from me so I spoke to another waitress who told me five of her staff didn't show on the day (even though I counted six staff), and also in an extremely patronising way told me she was 'sorry' that I had to ask to get my table cleaned, she literally said it in a way that said 'oh poor you for having to ask'. I asked for a refund and was flat out denied and given no apology from anyone. It was SUCH a bad experience that I ended up crying outside and we left $60 worth of food and drinks, having barely touched it. On our way our my mom went in to chat to the older woman as my parents have owned a restaurant for the last 16 years and wanted to find some common ground with her and that was when this woman said that she would call the police! We should have read other comments about this place before having gone as if we had done so we would not have gone there. I have NEVER seen such poor customer service in my life before and for someone to act the way that this woman acted I can't see how they remain in business, fortunately for us we come from Sydney and will NEVER go there again, nor will be recommend people to go there. If I could give zero stars I would have!

Very enjoyable experience! At St George Bakehouse Greenwith it's a cute cafe with a fair bit of…read moreseating space. Its warm & pleasant inside. It's in a pleasant area, & the staff are very accommodating. Tip.. You can buy whole sweet-homemade pies to takeaway too (their cherry pie is to die for... Add cream & you're in heaven). They do deals, such as a food + hot drink + slice of cake deals which I personally took advantage of.. $13 for a tuna-potato pie, a dirty chai (which if you've never heard of it is a mix of coffee & chai-latte) & a slice of baked cherry cheesecake. They were amazing... I'm not kidding ... Amazing! You can order a selection of hot pastries, cold or toasted rolls, coffee & other hot & cold drinks, & a million varieties of cakes, slices & biscuits. I visited here with my folks who opted for a toasted gourmet roll & a single serve apple pie (I snuck a bit, as did they of mine. Delicious!). While we waited (which wasn't long) they also had free choc n macadamia or Anzac or double choc biscuits stating take one ... I don't know of any other place that offers a quality good sized biscuit while you wait! I will come back here again for sure!

A bit pricey has a lot of seating. Food okay but as I said a bit over priced. Don't see too many…read morepeople there. Not in s great spot as that car park is very chaotic.
