I used them ONCE and the only mistake I made was not booking my ticket as a ONE WAY and never come back! I often wonder how this place even stays in business. Most consider a 15 minute drive out to the nearest road side rest area, and taking a picnic, their summer vacation. Most locals just spend their summers drunk on the river, or out on the lake - of course the lake charges fees so thats only for the fancy pants locals. Do yourself a huge favor - Call First Travel immediantly buy a ticket in any direction, be it by plane, train, bus, hot air balloon, slow boat, or row boat and GET THE ONE WAY TICKET AND NEVER LOOK BACK!!!

The Giraffe barn is attached to one side of the house, and their pasture is on the other side. It is the most fabulous "Barndominium" with incredible finishes and clearly thoughtfully designed. That experience alone was mind-blowing.... however we also had the Gold Packages and were able to experience everything the ranch had to offer! Zebras, Capybaras, Kangaroos, Otters, Deer, Homer the Dromedary!!! Everywhere you turned there were more animals and more experiences offered. My children and I were in absolute animal heaven and will be thrilled to return. I will say, our vacation was expensive and it did not disappoint. However, I do believe you can absolutely visit this ranch on a budget.... Probably one of the best experiences was their ranch safari and that is a nominal price and totally worth it! You can see the entire property and all of the animals on the safari trip. Additionally they have fantastic cabins that are themed, and if you have children under the age of 10, the pirate themed cabins are beyond your wildest imagination.... as far as I am aware all of the sleeping accommodations include kitchens so you can absolutely cook for your family instead of paying for the delicious ranch food. That said... Chef Alan is phenomenal and out of this world excellent chef. Each meal was made with love and artistry. The staff at Blue Hills Ranch all go above and beyond to create lasting memories for you. I absolutely recommend this experience as a NOT TO BE MISSED event! We are already planning a return in October/November depending on availability . Cannot wait. Looking forward to being among these amazing staff members (shout-out to Jen, Anne, Shelby, Emily, Chesney, Alan...) the guard dogs, and all of the incredible exotic animals. Thank you, Matt!

That personal touch made the experience even more special. The staff truly went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I had one of the most memorable weekends of our lives. Not to be confused with the actual product which I don't love. It's also a museum believe it or not! Dr. Pepper is a weird drink, and one which never really appealed to me for various reasons. It's not bad but it's not great. Like I said just weird. So when I first used to drink it, it tasted like medicine and chemicals, and honestly if I'm being straight up with you it still does. It's a bit like root beer but fresh homemade root beer has something special about it, a bottle of Dr P doesn't. They also make Snapple. Oh snap. Ple. Snapple used to be one of my favourite drinks in the world. I still like it quite a lot. The Lemon Tea was the first one I tried, age 16 in Washington DC wandering around at 7am in a bad part of town, but the Lemonade Tea took its place for awhile... I love both still but I guess I'm back on the lemon now though I used to drink this weekly and now it's less than annually. A lot of the flavours that I used to enjoy are now just bad, like Kool Aid, they probably always were but I was young and didn't know better, but I do think they have some good things going on, especially with the tea flavors. They're little on the sweet side, but you can still taste that tea and I do appreciate that. I have to give them a high rating for introducing me to lemon tea and being very symbolic of my love affair with America from the 1990s that never ended. They'd score 4 if not for that nostalgia factor.
