The first time we came, we picked up a couple bottles of olive oil, and we absolutely fell in love with them. As a matter of fact, we had literally just run out of their Mediterranean olive oil. So, on a little trip down to the casino , we decided to stop by on our way home and pick up four more bottles. And I have to say, it is STILL just as delicious as the first day I tried it. This is a really nice place, and if you haven't been here before, they have a great selection of olive oils and all kinds of other goodies. They also have an olive oil bar where you can actually sample all the different flavors they have. And let me tell you, that is pretty damn awesome. Since we had already been here before and had gone through the whole experience, we already knew exactly what we wanted this time. We grabbed our bottles and were on our way. The people working here were just as nice and friendly as they were the first time, which made the whole experience just as enjoyable. (Side note) There's stories just so nice and clean and just very comfortable to visit. So, like I always say, try it out for yourself! And I'm sorry I didn't take any pictures this time. This was genuinely one of the most bizarre dining experiences we've ever had. We sat there for…read morenearly an hour simply trying to get a glass of wine. Our server repeatedly came over to our area and waited on every table around us, yet somehow our wine never came. At one point, I actually walked up to him to ask about our order, and he asked me what table we were sitting at, as if he's never seen me- even though he had already spoken to us. The entire interaction was incredibly strange. After another 15 minutes of waiting, with still no wine and no one checking on us, we finally said we were just going to leave. Only then did he tell us, "Sorry, the ticket never printed." But during all that time, he never once checked to see why our wine hadn't come out or followed up on the order. Meanwhile, the bartender was standing there with virtually no one to serve. We were honestly baffled by the entire experience. We weren't asking for anything complicated--we just wanted a glass of wine--and after nearly an hour we left without ever receiving it. The whole situation was so strange, uncomfortable, and poorly handled that we will absolutely not be returning.

And just a few miles east of Old Town is their ranch in Aguanga, a beautiful 26 acre property that is open to the public for olive oil and wine tasting. The property is picture perfect for large gatherings and events too. There are several cute places to hang out. The small building that houses their "store" where they sell products and do tastings is so welcoming and so cute! The wedding we attended was held in the olive groves and the reception area was set up in the grassy area where there is lots of room for tables. The grounds are rustic and a little dusty (it's a ranch), really pretty with touches of cute and bright decor, and it is well kept. There are some animals too, which are always fun for the kids. We were fortunate to return to the property today with our church group. The owners, Thom and Nancy, are so gracious and kind to welcome us in. We had tacos catered in and hung out on the grassy area. Thom took the time to give us some history of TOOC and he took some on a tour. I missed the tour so I will have to return to get the full download. Even on a hot day, sitting under the shade of the big trees with an occasional cool breeze made it for a very pleasant afternoon!
