Located in an…read moreelementary school, you'll see a bunch of tents lined along, selling everything from flowers, fruits, jerky, meat, cheese, and more! Pros: -I love the variety of food vendors that they have here. There were also vegan options available. -there is a shaded seating area that has picnic benches but people also brought out blankets to enjoy the day -some live music was available when I stopped by Cons: -parking can be a bit difficult and since this is in a residential neighborhood, you need to be careful of where you park. It I was able to get street parking not too far away Overall, a delightful farmers market!

My highlight of this place was the green juice from morning star ranch!! Everyone had a bottle and rightfully so, super nutritious and delicous - this farmers market is at a elementary school which is great -parking can be tough but we had parked in downtown Encinitas and just walked over (about 20 minutes)

There are numerous produce vendors, food vendors, crafts vendors and prepared food vendors. There is usually some live music for entertainment you can listen to while partaking of some of the food vendor offerings. For me it's usually either something from Chez Cristophe or the East African Food vendor who sells saffron chicken and sombusas. Parking - it's usually not too hard to find parking on the street... if nothing is available right nearby there usually is some parking up Rosa street. Bathrooms - if needed - are in the main office building. Just go through the main entrance glass doors and the hallway to the right leads right to them. Vibe is laid back and I haven't seen it too crowded all the times I've gone over the years.

I'm sorry, but $12-15 for lemonade, juice, or a coconut drink is absurd. These are some of the highest markup items imaginable, yet somehow this pricing has become "normal" because people keep accepting it. And no -- this isn't just "inflation." A packet of drink mix does not cost 5x what it used to. Lemons and coconuts did not suddenly become luxury goods. What's frustrating is that markets used to feel joyful and accessible. When I was growing up, even families on tight budgets could go to fairs, snack all day, try things, and make memories. Now a family can easily spend $150-300 on a few drinks and basic food. We love foo and spending on trying new things. That changes who gets included. Vendors absolutely deserve to make a profit. If someone is creating truly handmade artisan goods, specialty food, or something labor-intensive, charge accordingly. But charging luxury prices for basic drinks and hot dogs is pushing community events into "wealthy people only" territory. And here's the irony: lower prices would probably create MORE sales volume and a better atmosphere. If drinks were $4-5 instead of $15, families would buy multiple drinks instead of walking away entirely. We need to stop pretending these prices are normal. If enough people politely refuse overpriced food and drinks -- and tell vendors why -- maybe markets can become enjoyable and accessible again instead of feeling like a luxury outing.

I love the concept of making fresh food accessible to everyone and anyone. It's such a great mission. The highlight for us was the nature play area; my little one could have stayed there for hours. They've done a fantastic job creating an outdoor experience that's genuinely fun and engaging for kids of all ages. I also loved the "lead experiences" they host every hour. We joined the chicken feeding, which was a huge hit thanks to Daniel! We felt very safe throughout our visit, and the security team was incredibly helpful and a special thanks to Stephanie for that. We're already looking forward to our next trip back!

The farm has on Thursdays and Sundays a pay what you can farm stand. This has been a tremendous help to the community, especially when Covid hit. When purchasing items it is private so other people cannot see if you need to use the opportunity to purchase items at a discounted price or at full price. There are also many educational opportunities on the farm. Camps for kids, after school programs and other events are available throughout the year. The farm recently opened a coffee cart as well. Swing by and get fresh coffee along with your fruits and vegetables. There are also chickens on the farm and fresh eggs are sold every Sunday. If you like to eat the rainbow, or try new vegetables, this might be the spot for you as well, depending on when you arrive at the farm, you can see the vegetables coming in just after they have been picked to be sold.
