I rarely write long/ detailed Yelp reviews, but this experience deserved every detail, especially…read morebecause I truly appreciated the time Ali (the owner and professional chef), spent at our table explaining the food, the ingredients, and where their meats come from(including Nebraska and New Zealand). That personal interaction reminded me of the philosophy behind places like The French Laundry in Yountville, where dining is not simply dining and its more about serving a plate of food the chef, ingredients, story, and hospitality are all part of the unique experience. Of course, this is Persian dining, but that same level of pride and personal attention made our evening feel special. The koobideh was outstanding (eventhough we ordered All Javan Combo to try most of the kababs in menu) for someone who knows the flavors of Tehran, it is very difficult for me to find koobideh in the States that gives me that familiar taste of home. This one did. The meat quality was exceptional, and everything was beautifully prepared. We ended up to ordering some to go koobideh. The torshi was beyond this world, and their homemade mast o moosir and doogh (yogurt drink) were excellent. Everyone was professional and welcoming, but Ali's presentation was what made the experience memorable. If you miss Iran, or simply want to experience genuine Persian food and hospitality, this is the kind of place that brings back that feeling. It wasn't just dinner. It was an experience.

We stopped in for an early Sunday dinner and had such a great experience. Service was LOVELY! Food was AMAZING! Got the Koobideh plate to share and they split the rice up in two plates for us. The Shirazi salad was so fresh, the bread was perfect. Omg I'm getting hungry again Vibe was relaxed yet nice- loved the Persian music! Street parking was surprisingly easy to find. We had a great experience and great food at N17 The Lane! I see some recent complaints regarding…read moreservice during the World Cup. It's clear they've put intentional effort into improving this week, as service was a highlight for us. Our waiter, Sunny, was so polite, quick, and communicative. He had a lot of tables to cover, as it was a packed and chaotic room during the Mexico vs. Ecuador game last night. The N17 burger and fries (both the regular shoe string fries and sweet potato fries) were fantastic! Both were cooked just right, very flavorful, and the fries were nice and crispy. The atmosphere and design of the restaurant in front isn't your typical "sports bar" - it feels more like a cute, sunny brunch restaurant with high-quality screens for sports viewing - but the clientele feels just like any other sports bar would :) It was very lively and fun to watch with others last night. For the World Cup, they've opened up their event space in the back which is not set up like a typical restaurant - but it was great for viewing! The screens are HUGE and very high-quality.

I don't understand how a "sports bar" decides to host an event for the World Cup yet can't provide…read moredecent service and/or a welcoming environment for such an event. Listen, I understand being busy is one thing but blatantly ignoring paying customers that have been sitting and waiting to be served for 20-30 minutes after only ordering two drinks is strange to me. And then to come back and ask if we wanted to remove the items we already ordered without us having to bring it up just lets me know that you remembered all this time but chose not to serve us until someone had to go ask to be served AGAIN. Even other venues that are 5x bigger than this one have better customer service/attentiveness. We also ordered the bottomless mimosas and only got through 2 bottles because it took them 20 minutes to bring out the first one and another 15 to bring out the second one when it was asked for. And on top of that, they act like they're doing YOU a favor by bringing out the food & drinks that YOU paid for. I have never written a negative review before but this experience was awful; just a waste of money &, what should have been, a good time.
