My wife placed an order 2 weeks ahead of my b-day. I saw an ad on social media and fell inlove with the cake presentation I said I'd like to have it on my special day. As for any b-day celebrant, you would want to have it atleast after lunch, give and take,considering other orders they maybe doing on that day. However, no call whatsoever about the order, until we called them at 2 pm, only to find out the cake was still in their Edison branch! 2 hours more of waiting until it came at 4:11ish! All day waiting for a cake on my b-day and finally, I get to taste the much raved treat. DISMAYED. The cakes I've eaten so far were dry and small in size. The icings were too much and I guess it was to create the impression of big flowers and not to mention that it was way tooooooo sweet! And it wasn't buttery as I expected it'd be. The only thing special about it was it does look like a bouquet as advertised. That's it. For a $100 ++ of a cake, you would expect an out of this world experience, but it did not deliver. Have someone organize your delivery and it would help a lot if you keep some kind of a tracking system for people to keep an eye for their orders so they don't end up fisdling their thumbs.... on the day they should be celebrating their b-day. As you can see it's less than 9" in diameter, just keep that in mind before you order. We ate 2 of the cupcakes, the frosting did not taste like buttercream, it was very sweet and you could feel the sugary crunch texture when chewing. I accidentally planned a ski trip forgetting it was Valentine's Day weekend without consulting my girlfriend. She wasn't mad, but I wanted to make up for this. I recalled seeing a shop near Menlo that sold edible bouquets. Hopped online, checked out their catalogue, and bought the secret scarlet as an early v-day present. The website is very easy to use and has great pictures of the bouquets. They have options for more or less cupcakes, but only have the "perfect" sizes pictured. It would be nice for them to have photos of the larger and smaller sized bouquets as well, but I'm sure that will come with time. I originally scheduled a delivery for 2/8 forgetting (again) that we were planning to be away. I called them up on a Thursday 1/30 and reschedule my delivery for Saturday 2/1 with no problems. Only thing I would suggest, if the person you are gifting lives in an apartment building or complex make sure to give them a description of the location. The actual product looks great! My girlfriend loved the cupcakes and how the bouquet looked overall. She brought some over for me to try a day later, and the cake was still moist. I'd put them on par or better tasting than any of the fancy cupcakes from New York or California (Sprinkles, Magnolia, Molly's, Butterlane I've had them all). Looks wise there is no comparison. Each line of frosting really looks like a petal and the "fairy dust" makes the whole bouquet sparkle. I thought the butterfly in the photo might've been a cookie haha... but it is just for decoration Tl;dr beautiful presentation, delicious cupcakes, very good customer service, they deliver, and have a great location for pick up.
