    Delicious food!

Great food and even better vibes! We got there late, but they still accommodated us without hesitation--which made the experience even more sizzling. The cornbread was sweet and comforting, the lobster mac was rich and indulgent, and the Bacon Bacon? Let's just say it brought home the bacon in the best way possible. I loved every bite!

I should have read the reviews on Yelp rather than Google reviews prior to coming... had I done my research I would never have stepped foot in here. Similar to another recent review, I ordered the wagyu burger for $28, waited for oddly over 35 minute with only 1 other table inside (red flag already), to receive a dry, burnt, tasteless beef burger I would have happily enjoyed better at any fast food chain. Aside from their signature hanging bacon that begs for a photo op, stay clear of ordering a burger at this place and with no acknowledgement of their scam, frankly speaking, by calling the beef as "wagyu" to upcharge. Saving grace, our waitress was very sweet.

If you have any reservations about trying it out, just throw it away. 5/5 experience coming here for my birthday brunch after a weekend in Philly. The service was great and they accommodated a large party last minute. Everyone enjoyed their food which shouldn't be a hard task, but restaurants miss the mark these days, so major kudos to them. I'll definitely return when in the area.

Intimate & Classy location for brunch! We got a breakfast pizza & (not your typical) Chicken & Waffles. Everything was delicious and the chicken was well flavored. Don't get spooked by the asian ginger. It was a savory surprise. They started out as a food truck and recently opened up their brunch menu ~2 months ago. Next up: trying their hanging bacon

Who tf doesn't love bacon? Meat lovers, vegetarians, even no pork eaters can resist the smell and taste of this delicacy. The set-up of Bake n' Bacon is multi-level. Love the wallpaper, none signage, modern decor of the drink glasses and lighting. The bar must definitely be an attraction during the week and for wine Wednesday. Our server was attentive and gave great suggestions. Everyone in my group loved their selection. I ordered the biscuits & sausage gravy, chicken and waffles, and burnet ends bacon and washed it all down with the morning wood cocktail. The bacon grease logo is a creative touch.

Overall A-OK. I came for Happy Hour and was with friends and had the buffalo chicken dip and the burnt pork ends. I did not find either to be remarkable, and the nachos for the dip had a few that were a bit stale. The ambiance is great and I would be willing to return for the full dinner or even brunch; hopefully those meal times have more of a WOW factor.

The ambiance was very nice. Service was excellent, on point. The food was good, but the waffles was a little salty which takes away from the waffle but other then that I would go back if or when I'm in the area

Absolutely delicious food and great, friendly service. I highly recommend it and I will definitely be going back. The French Toast was absolutely amazing, as was the savory waffle. Don't sleep on the Bacon Burnt Ends! Those alone are worth a visit.

Leaving review during the meal. The server was nice but the manager was rude. I ordered the hanging bacon it came out cold like straight from the fridge. I explained this to the server. Shortly after the manager came over in a scolding manner he explained how fast the food came out. ' I timed the order it was turned around in 4 minutes it's now 25 minutes later". Excuse me I prayed and began to eat. Not to mention we were seated at 6:55 ordered drinks at 7:00 and appetizers at 7:05. At 7:17 is when he went over the turnaround time. The time ain't timing, and the math ain't mathing! My husband bacon was warm and he IS NOT A COMPLAINER said 'that feels like it's out the fridge'!

I can not believe I am JUST getting here!!! My Goodness. One of the best keep secrets in Philly right now. Bake'N Bacon is A total vybe. Looking for a Spot in my part of town, South Philly, for a Happy Hour drink on a rainy Friday Night, we stumbled into something we never knew we always needed, THIS Vybe. On the corner of 11th & Ellsworth, walked in to a space of Community. Greeted immediately with smiling face & some of the best music provided by DJ Shizz. As it was their newly Minted Friday night setup, The ClockOut. A Specially Curated end of the week Happy-ish Hour send off to you weekend with special priced food & drinks a long with Music all night. This space is Gorgeous!! Just every detail is steeped in love. I must say loved the decor but more the anything loved the 'wares'. The Glassware, the Flatware & the Dishware. So Fly. Now let get into really matter in a restaurant, our taste buds. I keep it classic either beer, wine or a cocktail. BayBee, I had 4 different items(I was the passenger ). I order from on & off the special menu with ease, shout out to Lucy & Alex great bartender who held down the ENTIRE restaurant on a Friday, effortlessly. All were spot on amazing. As I had already had a bite to eat before leaving my house, we just order the Load Fries, amazing. They really do have the #BaconGame on lock. Found so much joy in this establishment & I don't say that often. This place was PACKED & it wasn't even people from South Philly, Real Talk. Most people I asked & I asked a lot, it was that kind of energy that I could , they were from all parts of Philly & New Jersey. That says a lot for a local semi- neighborhood spot. Justin & Kelvin has something very special & brand new customers in the Bruce Gals. Up next, Brunch

I went to dinner on a Thursday evening with my girlfriends and boy did we stumble upon a gem!! It's a Black owned establishment that did not disappoint!! The ambiance is very calm and the music was fitting for the environment. The place wasn't packed but definitely had a nice crowd. Now, the name is bake n bacon so of course you may assume that there are only bacon options. Nope! Their menu caters to many eating preferences! (Check out the pic of the menu). Our server was Richard who was very attentive, gave us suggestions and made sure that we had a great dining experience. Now, the food! 10/10! Everything was perfectly seasoned and flavorful. I had a small issue with my mussels but the food was so good it's not even worth mentioning! As you can see in the pictures the food did not disappoint! The entrees don't come with bacon, however, as Richard told us, you can add bacon to anything!! I left stuffed and happy. I'm telling everyone to tell somebody to tell somebody else to get to south Philly for these delicious eats!

I wasn't planning on writing a review however because I like this place, I feel it's important to make mention of things that could hurt business. I don't know his name, but the bald bartender with the goatee and arm tattoos was simply horrible. He acted like he didn't want to be there. he never gave me water......when he asked what would like, I asked for a menu, I shouldn't have to ask.....typically I am asked "would you like to see a menu". He seemed to have an attitude since I didn't order a drink. When he gave me the menu he sorta just slapped it on the bar and he walked away to prepare a drink for a woman. She had to ask for a new glass because the one he was using had lipstick on it. His response to her was "it was your glass right?"....she responded "I'm not wearing any lipstick".....anyways, when I placed my order, he literally gave a "hurry up" sort of hand gesture, as if I was taking too long......I asked for chipotle wings, and before I could say something else he was at the kiosk putting the order in, wih his back to me...I asked for a Caesar salad as well but wasn't sure if he heard me or not. then he proceeds to slap some plastic ware on the bar, refill another customers water glass and here I am still with no water. He didn't even ask if I wanted to order a drink, in fact he never engaged with me at all to see if my food was ok etc. I witnessed him going back and forth with the servers .......I say all of that to say....poor customer service will have people not return and tell others not to patronize a place. I worked in food service for many years. I have been to chicks numerous time and this was the worst experience I had there....food was still good, but that one bartender makes y'all look bad. to be fair......it was sort of busy, but I have seen it busier in there. He may not have been the regular bartender, or perhaps he is used to a more dive bar type of situation. perhaps he was just filling in and just tryna get thru the shift......I can understand any of that but that is no excuse for poor customer service.
