    Vegetarian country fried steak $18.75
    Tiffany T.

First time back in 3 years and I can't believe it's taken me this long to come back. Honeys is such a vibe. Solid brunch, sweet staff, efficient service. The menu is also flexible for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. I tried my first country fried steak and I've never had the meat version so I can't speak to how that compares, but it was okay. Honestly I had to add a bit of salt which I rarely do bc it was a bit bland for me. But I didn't feel heavy after eating it which was nice, even though I wanted a "fat meal" lol. The potato latke is excellent, not greasy and crispy. The eggs were cooked exactly as I ordered, over medium. There were so many things on the menu I wanted to try, so I think I'll be back sooner than later this time around ! Although I didn't love my meal, the ambiance and service was good enough that I'd like to come back and try something else. No wait for a party of two on a Saturday around 10am :)

It's places like this that remind me why I loved going out to eat in the first place. Before brunch became the commercialized spectacle it is today, it felt like a magical alignment of busy schedules -- a chance to catch up with friends and get unexpectedly drunk before noon. Visiting from New York, I rarely get the opportunity to order Country Fried Steak, so it was happening one way or another. My ex-wife -- whom I remarried -- went with the French toast... and the fried fish, because overspending is simply encoded in her DNA. My friend ordered the Country Fried Steak as well. He's getting married soon and figured he should seize whatever happiness remains before committing himself to a lifetime of inescapable disappointment. The setting, with its eclectic mix of people pouring in for a meal and a warm reprieve, reminded me of a wooden lodge full of skiers nursing hot chocolate. I was expecting more of a greasy, indulgent comfort vibe from the food, but our dishes were surprisingly clean-tasting and artfully plated. Nothing wrong with that -- it just wasn't quite the savory coma I had been hoping to sink into. Beyond the food, they offer a varied list of unique beverages. I'll order anything Earl Grey-adjacent, so I opted for the latte. Around the table we also had a cinnamon bun latte and an orange blossom chai -- all strong contenders for the real reason to come back.

Challah French toast breakfast with the fried chicken eggs benedict in the background

Our first stop after dropping our bags off at our hotel. We walked 20 minutes to get here, and were drawn in by the southern comfort vibes and large open room that still managed to feel cozy with the minimal interior lighting. We did not have any issues getting a table at 10 AM on a weekday. Our server was very quick to get us coffee- their cold brew is fantastic, and plenty of people were stopping at the walk up window just for coffee. We ordered food as well- the challah French toast melted in our mouths, and my husband loved his daily special, which was eggs Benedict with fried chicken instead of ham.

Ahh man what a great spot! I have been a regular here for years. The food is great and so is the staff. I come here regularly and have become a familiar face to the staff. They all have been pleasant to chat with and provide exceptional service. This has been one of my go to spots for years. Some of my regular selections are the Jebs open faced biscuit with the eggs fried hard and home fries extra crispy. This is a great meal b/c you get a biscuit with gravy, veggie sausage, and eggs all in one. The home fries are delicious, as is, but I like mine to be a little bit more on the crispy side. Additionally, I love to order the French toast platter. This is self explanatory. Lastly, a classic that I used to get all the time was the breakfast b0mb. This is essentially an omelette, pretty much however you want it, folded into a pancake and it's is absolutely delicious! It's a great portion and will Forsure make you ready for a nap! Great spot to stop and grab a meal with a very relaxed and welcoming environment.

Quaint place, likely to need to walk a little after finding a parking space and worth it! Friendly staff, great cooks, simple menu and they deliver it all really well. We had pancakes, eggs potatoes, bacon and sausage, all were cooked to perfection and delicious! I plan to return. Expresso drinks were very tasty.

Food 9/10 Atmosphere 8/10 Service 10/10 Tips: First time Takeout experience- The wait was just way too long to get a seat inside, about one hour wait. I got my usual honey cristo and chicken sandwich, everything was good, solid, Salad could've been more fresh, probably was a bit soggy from all the dressing they put, the dressing was a little bit on the blander side this time? Less ham in the sandwich then before. Service was great as usual. Take out only waited for about 15 minutes for the food to be ready. There is a takeout counter you can order coffee and food outside the dining area.

I thought the restaurant had a pretty cool concept in that I felt like I was dinning in my grandmother's kitchen. The experience, especially the aesthetic, felt less like eating in a restaurant and more like eating in a family member's house. Honey's has a pretty decent diverse menu, so I think everyone should be able to find something eat. While I am not a vegan, I thought it was pretty cool that this Southern-style restaurant had a couple of vegan options. For my dining pleasure, I went with the small catfish fish and grits. While I thought the portions was pretty decent for the $11 price tag, I thought the dish was a bit bland for my tastes. Fortunately, the tables have ample amounts of salt, pepper, Sriracha sauce and Chola hot sauce. Overall, we thought the service was fine and somewhat efficient. Unfortunately, we did have to request a refill on decaf coffee three times for one of the diners in our party. We were told that the decaf coffee needed to be brewed, which is fine, but I do not think they started to brew the coffee until after we made the second request. Outside of that (very) minor issue, I thought everyone in our four-person dining party was satisfied with their meals. Just be aware that this restaurant is pretty popular, so there might be a bit of a wait for brunch especially if more than two folks are eating. I think we arrived just in time. Although we had only a five-minute wait, folks who arrived after us had to wait anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes. While I'm not 100% sure, I do not think the restaurant takes reservations because I did not see that option on the website. All in all, if you are in Northern Liberties, definitely drop by for a good and hearty breakfast.

Quick service! Great spot for a weekend breakfast. It's a little crowded inside, but that's just because they're so popular. The food is very good for a diner. We have tried a few different things on the menu, but our go to is the tofu scramble. It's quick once you actually order, but expect to wait a little while to get inside and eat.

We were looking a brunch spot for Saturday and heard about this place. Little did we know how close it was to Fishtown! We came around 1pm so there was wait but that did not deter us!! Food: 4.5/5 My partner got the pancake combo and I got the French toast (regular not Challah). We found out that you could add fruit to the pancakes, like blueberries, which will add next time! I really liked the thickness of this pancakes and the moistness of the French toast. However, the star of the show were the roasted potatoes (crispy, well seasoned, and fresh)! Service: 4.5/5 Though we had to wait to be seated (~30mins) and they don't take your phone number. So stay close to the restaurant!! Once we were seated they were great and placed our order promptly. They were alittle backlogged with orders due to the brunch rush. However, they treated us well and kept us abreast on our food status! All in all, I would definitely go back with an empty stomach. The vibe and food were just right.

We randomly go to Honey's for brunch because we know they're solid. This visit was another hit. I had a taste for specific things and Honey's satisfied me. Our server was pleasant and made small talk with us and she allowed us time to chat as we were catching up. Much appreciated! We'll be back again and again.

Challah French Toast- Two slices of Kaplan's Challah
    Ben L.

For a place that has been around for such a long time, this place hits the spot for brunch. The décor was great, reminded of a little small breakfast shack from the South. The place is popular so a wait is not unexpected. The food: Challah French Toast- Two slices of Kaplan's Challah. This was amazing! These were SO fluffy and delicious, I highly recommend. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=hdvIH0tR33M94EXLJ_Pjmw&userid=Y_iTTjKvV5hLy-880SZzlA Biscuits and Gravy with Sunny Side Up Egg- Homemade buttermilk biscuits, creamy sausage gravy. The sausage was excellent, Philadelphia really does sausage well. I really enjoyed the coarse grind on the pork and I really enjoyed the flavor of the spices they used, they were very pronounced. The biscuit was a nice fluffy buttery biscuit but the main thing I noticed was the sausage. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=e58w3rt-asz-ckZbwKWKrg&userid=Y_iTTjKvV5hLy-880SZzlA

Huge bar, giant wall of liquor bottles, dim lighting, and a cool old-school vibe. I told the bartender that ordering a beer in a place like this felt like I was insulting him. But then I spotted a dark beer on the menu that sounded too good to pass up. If you follow me, you know I'm slowly becoming a dark beer guy. I liked it a lot. The sandwich special was a cheesesteak. They forgot the Bernaise that she ordered but sent out a fresh bowl fairly quickly. She ate the whole filet and loved the Bernaise. My daughter ate almost the entire strip and loved it. My son inhaled the burger which they added bacon and bbq sauce to for him. My duck was cooked perfectly and I got fries instead of the mashed potatoes. The fries were good and a welcome choice since the mashed potatoes have garlic in them which I can't eat. Admittedly we didn't get dessert there since Franklin Fountain is around the corner. She ordered unsweetened tea, which oddly they were out of. It was kind of cold inside, but again, that may have something to do with just how cold it was outside. Food 4/5 Upon first glance, the menu has a wide variety of tempting options, from handhelds to steak, chicken, and shortrib, to all sorts of wood-fired pizzas, which the waiter told us was their specialty. My dining partner and I opted to share the Whipped Ricotta with flatbread and honey for an appetizer. Delish! For the main course, we both ordered the gnocchi with roasted eggplant, scallions, and parmesan. We were told that the gnocchi is house-made, which helped in our decision. In the end, the dish was tasty, but a bit too doughy. Service 3/5 The service at Revolution House is the reason for the overall rating of 3. Unfortunately, we waited a long time for everything, from our drinks to the food and even the check. It wasn't until the very end that the waiter explained that they were shorthanded, but by that time, we were a little frustrated to say the least As I alluded to earlier, the menu and the atmosphere was enough for me to be willing to try Revolution House again and hopefully next time the experience will be better.
