We sat at the bar like always. Bartender was super cool. Salsa was extremely fresh. My wife doesn't like cilantro but the salsa was so good it didn't bother her. Really good jalapeño margaritas. For a small town, I don't expect a whole lot but this place had a really cool vibe! It's a bit smaller, but seems like a good spot to hang with a few friends and get drinks! Very clean and modern! The service was pretty good, nothing exceptional but nothing bad. The food was excellent! I had the fajitas which were a bit different but had an excellent taste! We were looking for something new. We found it. Baja Grill is out of the norm for sure. Thinking outside the box, this is forward thinking for sure. We ordered the guac in the queso. WOW. Baja Grill offered a nice respite for us as we were spending the day in Benton and needed to grab a late lunch! We were seated quickly even with a larger group, and the experience only went up from there! We got the dip trio, and it did not disappoint! The guac and the salsa were pretty good, but the queso stole the show (pro-tip: get the queso with beef in it--you will not be disappointed!). The waiter refilled our chips on multiple occasions which was classy, and by the time our tacos got there, we were all pretty stuffed. That didn't stop me from enjoying the three tacos I ordered, all of which had fresh ingredients and freshly smoked/braised meats that added great flavor to the meal. Of the three I got (I had the baja pork, the pig sooie, and the Caribbean jerk), I'd definitely recommend the jerk and the pork. The pig sooie had a bit too much going on for me in a taco, but I knew that going in. Next time I'm in Benton, I'll be back to try the nachos and fajitas for sure! This place is amazing. They graduated from a truck to a brick & mortar, and were thankful they did. We've been here twice now and have yet to order something that isn't amazing. On our last trip we started with the fresh made seasoned pork rinds with queso and then ordered the Baja Chicken Burrito & Cuban Bowl. The flavors blended perfectly, there are slight variations to each dish so you get a new group of flavors with each one. My coworkers and I stumbled upon this restaurant as we were driving by. So glad we did! It didn't pop up in my searches for a places to eat. This is a new restaurant that just opened a few months ago, it's modern and clean. The food is pricey, especially for the area, but worth it. The food tastes fresh and flavorful. I ordered the mushroom and goat cheese bowl. I liked that there are various options for special diets. Whether you're a carnivore, vegetarian, vegan, and or gluten free there's something for everyone here. The meals are unique and well crafted. My coworker ordered the chicken bowl and he was slightly disappointed by the vast quantities of iceberg lettuce and sparse chicken. The portions were small. They have an in-house chipotle hot sauce. Stopped in for a bite while visiting from Houston. Went in with fairly low expectations, looks like a nice place, I just had low hopes for food in the area in general, but the food was excellent! My wife is pretty hard to please when it comes to salsa but even she was very pleasantly surprised. Ordered the pulled pork on a quesadilla and it was delicious. I sat at the bar and ate some delicious fajitas while I watched some basketball on the big tvs. The food was really good but I wasn't prepared to have my whole fajita served on the hot plate. Next time I'll ask for the fixings to be on a separate plate. The staff was very concerned with my experience and was always checking on me. The menu wasn't very expensive. It was totally reasonable while, at the same time, it wasn't very big either. I'll definitely come back to try something else. read more

Holy wow! We walked into this place expecting the normal, run of the mill, tex mex. You know? Just good enough to eat. We couldn't have been more wrong. The service was on point! This place was one of the few restaurants where I had no clue what to get. Then the bartender recommended a bunch of taco flavors so I could get a feel for their food, which made my selections easy. Food was DELICIOUS! Came out quickly too- I was impressed. I was not impressed, however, by the seating hostess. When we entered, the high school girl was just staring at us. I asked if we could have a table for two and she sat us right in front of the front door. People were coming and going and it was freezing outside- plus, there were plenty of other tables available. We asked if we could be further in away from the door and she walked as quickly as possible to the other side of the restaurant. She set our menus on the table and walked away. Review keeps getting deleted from Google.. 1st amendement who?? Food was mediocre (& mad overpriced), support a real Mexican business & not an inauthentic cash grab. Awful working experience! If you're empathic & highly intuitive steer clear- this place is filled with tons of negative energy radiating from several high strung judgmental employees on the front end. The minute I started working here I felt these strange "you don't belong here" vibes. It's funny seeing reviews on Indeed that say waitresses treat hosts bad, because nothing has changed... 90% of them were faker than press on nails! It's a little cult like between the management, they all have matching taco tattoos of the logo on various areas of their bodies along with a few brown-nosing employees under them! Homophobic crew. It was very apparent the young co-manager was beyond irritated working with yet another attractive young, male who attracted more attention & conversation than him. I almost missed out on a week's worth of tips bc no one told me when or how to pick them up- when I asked about them I get a "You're supposed to ask for them!!!" like it was common knowledge when I had minimal "training" & thrown straight on the floor. No positive reassurance whatsoever, but you'll hear constant complaints when something is done wrong & won't having an actual manager teach you like every other decent food place. Most people in the back end in the kitchen were absolutely amazing, work so so hard & still manage to be super kind, welcoming & great co-workers. The place in general really felt like a cult straight out of a super boring, bad movie/wannabe exclusive clique that does nothing but judge you or act like you're not good enough for them, if you're cool being a follower & kissing booty feel free to sign up tho! I've lived & worked all over this country & have never endured such a genuinely odd working environment. If you're still interested in working here after reading all of this (I know we all get bored sometimes & indulge in some crappy entertainment haha) please don't forget to ask for your tips! You won't be notified you even earned them & you'll have to wait for management to calculate & get them to you! When you get your "free shift drink" at the end of your shift just know you're being watched & judged by how much you drink even if you're off the clock. I was told by a co-worker another employee was fired because he "drank too much" while he wasn't even working. Also, if you're a threat to the newest member of management's fragile ego (the one who works at the bar), you'll be forced to wait over 15 mins to even order your drink after working all day when they're not even busy. I've seen behind the facade & that's exactly what this place is... smoke & mirrors! Like I said: support an actual Mexican owned business instead of this inauthentic negative cashgrab.
