Was there afternoon of 9/10/23 browsing the beers and the checkout guy yells all the way across the room if I had any questions after I didn't grab anything. I grabbed a bottle of wine and then perused the aperitifs. One of the counter guys comes over, stands at the end of the aisle, and just stares at me. Pretty creepy. I guess we are not allowed to browse anymore.

The selection is OK, the prices are fair and the folks who work there are usually pretty friendly. My one tip if you buy craft beer is to check the canning date of everything you buy here. This is the second time in a week when something tasted funky with a beer I've had before, I checked the date and bam, this is an IPA that's been sitting packaged for 7 months and tastes like band aid. I'm not sure if they just don't move through what I buy and it sits for way too long or if they have a really bad distributor that offloads old product that's been sitting forgotten about in a hot van but either way I've learned my lesson. I'm still going to shop here but unless I'm buying Pabst, I'm checking the date on the can before checking out.

Buy some beer, go to the counter, and engage in small talk - repeating the above. The counter agent reaches over, grabs a bottle opener, says, "99 cents. You'll thank me later." He was so right.
