Baileys has been around forever! Historical for the city. Wished it was still owned and ran by the Bailey family but it's still a beacon

All I can say is, yummy! Finally a good pie in Whittier. Definitely worth the parking fiasco!

Has good selection of beer. Could use more microbrews from around SoCal. But nice owner and has good hard alcohol selection.

My husband and I have been wanting to come back here for a while, so we decided to have dinner here…read moreon Monday for our date night. We started off by ordering drinks; my husband tried their Bodega Brewing Co. 'Mala Suerta' Dark Lager, and I had the Pinot Grigio 2024 La Boatina. Both of our drinks were great! For food we shared the Paella and Satchel's Mac & Cheese. Both dishes were delicious, full of flavor, and had generous portions. We finished off our meal with the Crema Catalana for dessert, which was bright, zesty, refreshing, and tasty! It's a lighter dessert that is just the right amount of sweet. The whole meal was excellent! Clearly a lot of love and energy has gone into this menu. The ingredients are high quality and the dishes are full of flavor. The staff are friendly and attentive, the atmosphere is perfect for a nice evening out. It's very cozy and romantic with beautiful decor. Before tip it was just about $85. Honestly a steal in our opinion, the meal and experience is well worth the money. We've decided: we're crazy for not coming more often after our first visit, and will be back soon and much more often.

The food is on point, the portions actually feel satisfying, and the sangria hits exactly the way it should. No guessing, no surprises -- just good. Now I'm annoyed I didn't try it sooner because this could've been part of my routine a long time ago. I wish they stayed open longer because the way I'm already planning my night around that sangria is wild. I can't wait to go tonight and act like I've been coming here forever.

La Mirada finally has a spot where you can drink legit craft beer without shouting over DJ airhorns…read moreor someone's birthday bottle parade. Had the O'Melveny Red Ale (San Fernando Brewing) -- a malty amber with a hint of sourdough -- smooth, slightly bready, and poured with that perfect creamy head that quietly says "yes, we actually clean our lines." Shout-out to Erica the cute bartender for the friendly service, great recommendations, and a spot-on pour. Cozy lighting, relaxed neighborhood crowd, and the kind of place you stop in for one and accidentally stay for two. La Mirada needs more places like this -- chill, welcoming, and focused on good beer and wine instead of hype. If you go, get the O'Melveny Red Ale. Trust me.

This place is located in a great little strip mall, so plenty of parking for sure!…read more When you walk in, it's feels nice and calming during your time. But if you want it lively, go in on a Wednesday for some fun Bingo Boogie (trust me, it's soo much fun! I highly recommend it!) There's a great selection of drinks, between the wine, the beers on tap, and the beers in cans and bottles, you can't really go wrong. The service was great! They were super friendly, and even let us try a couple of drinks before buying a full glass. I fell in love with Delirium Red, which is a red beer with notes of Cherry and Elderberry. Food wise we got the Charcuterie for Two, it's just like that perfect board with different crackers, breads, meats and cheeses. It goes well with anything you drink for sure! We got the Chimichurri Steak, that was such a tender cut of beef, and the chimichurri sauce just gave it that extra zing. It came with a side of fries, and I love me some good fries, for some reason these fries were just the perfect fry, crispy with a soft center. Ended with the Baked Brie, because why not. It was served in a sourdough bread bowl and came with pita bread slices on the side. It was so melty and good, and did we go ham on that sourdough bread. Since we were there on a Wednesday, we got to experience Bingo Boogie. Which is super fun. You get a bingo card with different songs from different eras. Zee, who runs the show, is so much fun. We were all singing and dancing along. So if you're bored, or want to try something new, go on a Wednesday! Get some food at around 6, party starts at 7! The Local is a great place for hanging out with your friends, maybe get a date in there, or any of their special events, like Bingo Boogie, or Trivia! You're bound to have a good time!
