Sope de carnitas

Went for lunch with my honey it was so good food was very authentic, our waitress dulce was very friendly and service was great will be returning, the ambiance was great

Literally so good and such good customer service. I come here almost every week with my girlfriend and friend and they absolutely love it. The customer service is literally the cherry on top. It feels like I am home whenever I come here. The food here is a 10/10. I absolutely love the ambiance too with spanish music playing in the background or even some sports game. Really fitting when it comes to being a Mexican Restaurant. SHOUTOUT to the Waiter/Waitresses and even the cooks!

My little feast

Totally disappointing! When we arrived we ordered our drinks. I ordered diet coke and my brother ordered coke zero. The waitress brought two cans of coke zero and two glasses of ice. My brother apologized and said that he thought that they were fountain drinks. So we again requested diet cokes. The waitress took back the two cans of coke zero and appeared to be upset. We thought... well ok she will be back with our drinks. Not so. She said something to the other waitresses and they stood there looking at us. Okay... so what was that about? Other patrons came in and ordered and got their food. After about fifteen minutes a waitress came over and asked if we ordered. Well... I felt like saying, "naaah... we're just hanging around watching people eat." So i ordered the wet chicken burrito without tomatoes. The burrito came out and when I cut it open and took a little bite and i bit into a hard piece of chicken and it tasted horrible. I peeked inside the chicken burrito and it had hard burnt pieces of chicken on the edge. I slit down the middle of the burrito and noticed burnt pieces of chicken were throughout the whole burrito. And it had tomatoes. Omgoodness... are you serious? My stomach became upset from the food. They offered me something else... but i was upset about this ordeal. So when I went to pay for my brother's food and my drink they had kept the burnt burrito on the bill. "No... you're not going to charge me for a horrible burrito I didn't eat." They took it off the bill. I don't understand what happened here today... but everything went wrong.

My faaaaaavorite fish taco place!! They make the best fish tacos with the best dressings! I highly recommend coming here! My family has been coming here for many years. Today, I tried Carne Asada and Al Pastor tacos but nothing compares to the fish tacos (the non-grilled ones. Choose the fried ones). I appreciate that they give plenty of lemons! And service is wonderful. You feel like part of the family and she checked on us a lot too.

Great lunch specials

We are on a regular basis. The service is great. The owner is amazing. Just a nice place to have dinner lunch or breakfast. The Carne Asada plate is delicious. The taquito plate is delicious. I recommend this place highly Lucy the owner is amazing beautiful personality

The horchata was amazingly delicious, and we ordered the pozole and an asada taco... OHHH MY! Everything was absolutely delicious! The food, hospitality, and overall atmosphere made our first visit such a great experience. I honestly can't believe I've never discovered this hidden gem before! We'll definitely be back with the rest of our family. If you haven't tried this place yet, you're missing out!

The restaurant has plenty of seating and the tables are far apart, which is very nice especially if you have a large crowd. The staff was very welcoming and professional. The restaurant is pretty rustic, but clean. Their bathrooms are very clean also. The restaurant is located in a strip mall off of Glendora Avenue in the heart of West Covina. The food offers your standard Mexican crowdpleasers such as Menudo, posole, combination plates with enchiladas, rice, and beans. I ordered the chicken mole. This is a sweet mole, which is my fave! My plate came with a side of rice and beans and of course, the complementary salsa and chips. The salsa by the way was delicious. I'm always hesitant ordering more from restaurants because the chicken is usually reheated or a Sam's Club or Costco rotisserie but this one blew me away. They definitely know how to prepare the mole. My platter included two chicken thighs that were clearly cooked in their own broth and simmered with the mole sauce, which is how you're supposed to make it. It it was the perfect consistency and just the right amount of sweetness... It was just like how my grandmother used to make it. The beans though... Blew me away. They took me back to refried beans my grandpa used to make. They were so delicious. I hardly touched my rice because I wanted to eat all of the beans. I ordered my platter with flour tortillas and I got too big flour tortillas so there was definitely plenty to go around. The mole sauce alone with the flour tortilla was delicious. The restaurant offers your standard soda, fountain beverages, as well as homemade Jamaica. They also offer Tamarindo and Horchata, but those are not homemade. The Jamaica was delicious just like how my Mexican mother-in-law from Michaocán makes it. It was the perfect amount of tart and sweet. I heard from another patron that their soors are very good but unfortunately I did not get to try one. She described them as not being too doughy and being on the thinner side so they are definitely crispy. I am going to have to go back and try one next time I'm in town! Looking forward to going back for more! Enjoy!

Service was good overall, parking wasn't an issue at all, and the food was a large portion served in a timely timeframe. Food was better than average, but leaned more towards the salty end. Great Food, But the Billing Experience Left a Bad Taste in My Mouth…read more Last night, our group of seven came here to celebrate a coworker's birthday. I've visited this restaurant three times before, and the food has generally been pretty decent. Unfortunately, this experience was enough to make me think twice about ever returning. I understand that large groups can make splitting a bill more complicated, but what happened at the end of our dinner was both frustrating and disappointing. Our group ordered individual meals, drinks, and some items to go. I personally ordered only the molcajete ($44.99), while everyone else had their own food and drinks. Three people paid individually in cash, leaving four of us to settle the remaining balance by credit card. Naturally, we expected to pay for what each of us had ordered, as has been my experience at other restaurants. However, our waiter, Andres, informed us toward the end of the meal that he could only split the remaining bill four ways. Without asking us how we wanted to handle the balance, he divided it equally among the four remaining people, coming out to approximately $75 per person. Excuse me? I ordered a $44.99 dish, and suddenly I was expected to pay roughly $20 more than my own order simply because the remaining balance was divided evenly? Why was this decided for us instead of asking the group how we wanted to settle the bill? I understand that not every restaurant has the same billing system, and perhaps there are limitations with their payment terminal. But if that is the case, PLEASE communicate this before the end of the meal, especially when serving a group. Give customers the opportunity to work out a fair arrangement instead of putting them on the spot when everyone is ready to leave. What made the situation even more frustrating was the way the gratuity question was handled. Since we were a party of seven, I wanted to confirm whether gratuity had already been included. Andres told me he would show me the bill "after" I paid? So now we can't see the check and what was charged before paying? Wth? When I asked about the gratuity, his response was essentially, "I don't know, I'm just a bartender. We don't get tips here." Honestly, that response did not inspire confidence. If you are handling a table's payment, customers should be able to receive a clear explanation of the bill, any automatic gratuity, and how the charges are being divided. Being told to pay first and ask questions afterward is not acceptable customer service. To be clear, my frustration isn't about tipping or refusing to pay my fair share. It's about transparency, communication, and being given a choice. I was put in an uncomfortable position in front of my coworkers during a birthday dinner, and I wasn't about to turn a celebration into an argument over the bill. I paid, but that doesn't mean I was happy with how the situation was handled. The food may be decent, but good food alone doesn't make up for a disappointing service experience. I've been here three times before without this issue, which is precisely why this caught me off guard. A heads-up for anyone planning to dine here with a group: Ask about the billing policy BEFORE ordering, confirm whether gratuity is included, and request an itemized bill before paying. Don't assume you can pay for your own order at the end. Unfortunately, this experience has taught me a lesson. There are plenty of restaurants that serve good food AND handle their customers with better communication and professionalism. Sadly, this is one place I won't be rushing back to.

When I was a little kid, my dad loved going to El Loco for the machaca burritos. I remember them being really good, although in fairness, my palate at the time was probably not exactly Michelin ready. So when I realized this El Loco was still around, I had to come check it out for old time's sake. I went with the chili relleno burrito, and I'm happy to report that it was delicious. And enormous. This thing was so big I could probably take a nap on it. It was cheesy, packed with flavor, and just plain old satisfying. There is one little caveat, though. I noticed the total seemed too high when I paid, and sure enough, I had been overcharged by about four bucks. I pointed it out, and the woman immediately apologized and said she'd made a mistake. I don't think there was anything nefarious going on, but it did leave me wondering how often a mistake like that goes unnoticed when someone isn't paying close attention. So, you know, maybe keep an eye on your receipt. Still, that's a relatively minor ding on what was otherwise a really good experience. The burrito was great, the nostalgia was strong, and I got to revisit a place that I remember from when dinosaurs still roamed the earth. And here's a fun little piece of movie trivia: Good Burger, starring Kenan Thompson, was filmed at this very location. So you can come here for a chili relleno burrito and get your Nickelodeon nostalgia on. That's a pretty solid afternoon.

No, but tell you what, these were an 8 since we are comparing. NOW, the next day, I heated up the leftover 2 tacos in my air fryer at 425 for 6 min. Guess what? They are a 10 out of 10, just like DCA's!!!! Fuego can you fry these up? I My husband and I shared the surf and turf burrito. It was large enough to share! Heavy, packed with moist rice, melted cheese, birria and shrimp. Only modification we ask for was no pico and no chipotle crema. The shrimp was freshly cooked on the plancha and to perfection (had a snap). I was worried at first, no one wants rubbery shrimp. This was by far our most favorite item, and probably the best burrito i've ever had!!!! My husband said he'll buy me my own next time. Sorry, I don't have a photo. We gobbled that up so quick.
