Had a nice happy hour at the Bahi Hut. Great drinks and great Old Florida atmosphere. The service was top notch. Looking forward to coming back soon!

Perfect old school tiki drinks and a great atmosphere! Helpful bartenders. And the drag bingo was a lot of fun.

Looking for something offbeat and over 21? Drag Bingo at Bahi Hut is a hilarious, unforgettable night out. The bar is small but full of energy. Grab a tropical cocktail and settle in for a show - especially if Mrs. Georgia is hosting. She's fabulous, funny, and can sing.

Not bad, just an odd experience. We really wanted to love this place; however the staff was off and didn't provide the hospitality that we were looking forward to. Keep your expectations low, and this is a hidden gem. I say that because we were there mid-week, and the weekends are probably way more lively.

A time and thing for everyone. Outstanding old school tiki venue during the day and hopping night life spot at night. New drink menu with divergence from rum base are tasty and of course old school tiki drinks too. This place is a must stop for everyone.

We love this place! What a gem. Florida's finest that everyone needs to check out. The best Mai Tai around. Food is limited but really yummy. The tiki flair is super cool. Feels like you are on vacation! A must try!

What the Polynesian Bali-Hai seaside dreamscape step-into-the-past in every way possible, has this Bali-Hut been my whole life? It's the been right here. "As the nation's longest running Tiki bar, since 1954." But don't come in here with your BS and unchecked vibe; check your vibe at the door, hush your volume and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, amazing fresh strong drinks, great island music and appetizers. Paul, our bartender, crafted our drinks (1 x Hawaiian Honey Bee; 2 x Bahi Aloha) with care and brisk expertise. Good dude. Aloha and Enjoy; we will be back!

Ah Bahi Hut, what a find. Florida's oldest Tiki Bar since 1954. We saw this gem right on Tamiami Trail as we departed the airport enroute to our VRBO. Fortunately for us it was only a few blocks from where we stayed because we fast became regulars. Great atmosphere and fantastic cocktails. The bartenders are extremely friendly and they gave us the entire history of the lounge and the adjoining Golden Host Resort. We told them that we were looking to move to Florida the next few years and might have settled on Sarasota. Each bartender was full of knowledge on the area and so patient in explaining what it has to offer. A must stop. Belly up to the bar and take it all in.

I have already given this place my detailed four-star review, so I am not sure why it is asking me to review it again. I love this place for drinks and Drag bingo!

One of the best tiki bars in Sarasota! New menu! Delicious drinks and a chill vibe. I love the Saturn and the Key Lime Daiquiri.

The Bahi Hut lived up to all my Tiki Bar expectations (which were high to say the least). Will was an amazing ambassador of the tiki life for someone only on the job for a month. Ownership has stayed true to the history of tiki bars. Amazing time and I'll be back!

Ok so the road appeal is not as good as it could be. Kinda looks seedy motel, but once you go into the bar and enter the old tiki bar In Florida it's very retro and tiki vibes. I had the original Mai tai and the Saturn. Nice takes on both drinks. Lots of great garnish and nice people at the bar. We went on Thursday night around 530. Only people inside some others joined but the inside was very cute. I will def go back to try some yummies for snacks.

The drinks the table ordered were strong, but weren't the best tasting. They had live music, so it was nice to chill there with friends. Bartenders were nice.

The atmosphere is interesting; the staff and management are most hospitable. I visited in early May of 2026.

Are well adjusted, tiki embracing, older kids permitted?

Honestly, I wouldn't bring my kids. While its quiet and fine in the early afternoon, it can be a different story in the evening/night hours. Maybe just stick to a brewery if your bringing kids.

Every one of the five different entrees merits the five-star rating. Service: exceptional. Our server, Mr. Lenza, was beyond what even the most demanding of customer could want. Engaging, knowledgeable (about many, many things that extended beyond entree questions), fun, and attentive (but not overly so; he hit the perfect mark). Ambiance: upscale-fun meets modern-artisan. Bonus was meeting one of the owners who entertained us with hidden "duck" tales [lol; intrigue intended]. This will be my go-to spot for guests in the future (as well as for me when I'm craving creative & tasty cuisine). Well done, SSEH, well done (& I'm not just talking how to prep my burger )!

Our server Kristy was so lovely and took care of us so much. I would definitely recommend checking this out for Brunch and it looks like they have some great Lunch and Dinner options. We grabbed reservations for the outdoor area to enjoy the weather and were thankful for the shady tree cover. This time we opted for some bites and though the menus change seasonally, I would recommend anything featuring tomatoes. They use truly fantastic heirloom tomatoes that remind you what you're missing with the watery ones we get at the grocery store. Also recommend the Mediterranean Platter. It's full of veggies and the dips are YUM. As usual, the cocktails didn't disappoint. It's never a weekend in AMI without a visit here! Previous Review: 5 Stars for the best cocktails on AMI, and a craft cocktail bar vibe you wouldn't necessarily expect here. (Plus, the service is AMAZING) We walked in (no reservation) after dinner one weekend evening and we were greeted by Matt, who found us a spot at the bar. He gave us menus and a "wellness shot" -- delicious little concoction to wet your palate! Right away I was blown away by the interior and the menu. This looked like it belonged somewhere in Denver or Chicago, but I was thrilled to find it on the island! Matt helped guide us to drinks we'd like on the menu. I ordered the Purgatory, made up of Bourbon, chocolate bitters, agave and premium mezcal. It was divine!! We also ordered some warmed olives, and they were hot and so fragrant. Definitely something I'd order again at the bar. I was stoked to see they have a veggie-specific section on the food menu and can't wait to go back for dinner. I'll definitely make a reservation though, as it was pretty full. Next time, in terms of drinks, I have my eyes on the espresso martini (off menu, but saw a pic on Yelp), and the kiss kiss bang bang. Thanks to Matt and Emily who helped us with our drinks along the way. Sometimes these fabulous craft bars can be pretentious, but the service here was a huge standout. Can't wait to return!

Have been wanting to go to this place for years and finally went and unfortunately it was…read moreunderwhelming. I feel like the drinks used to be a lot more creative from what I saw on their socials and from what my friend said who went back in the day it used to be more of a speakeasy elevated cocktail vibe versus a tiki/dive bar vibe. We had to ask for the chips that are supposed to be given complimentary and then we ordered bread and soup which literally took an unnecessary like 30 mins or more to come out as we watched the people on both sides of us get their full meals before us when we got items that just had to be reheated. The tomato soup was very good once it finally came out, the rolls were good but nothing as great as the hype in my opinion for the menu. The drinks were good but honestly the starter shot given at the bar was my favorite which was a hibiscus Pom margarita which I ended up getting fully as my second drink. Service started out hot but then went downhill but that is unfortunately the standard of when gratuity is already included in a check. Then when it came time to pay it got weird when there was a simple mix up when my friend intentionally overpaid even with gratuity involved in her check and the bartender asked her if she wanted change and she said yes but never brought it back. My friend gave 3 - 20s on a $38 check (gratuity) already in but she wanted to tip a few more dollars because she is a very generous person and then when she asked about her change that's when it got weird and the bartender made it seem like she didn't understand why she wanted change instead of just apologizing for the mistake and they went back and forth for a few minutes with the bartender ending up just giving her the extra $20 back. Just left a weird taste in our mouths for the experience when I feel like any bartender would understand what she wanted to do with giving extra larger bills to split especially when she said she wanted change and it was a massive overpayment or if the thought there was a very generous tip like 30% would make sure with guest that's what they want and show appreciation if that were the case. It was just weird how it all was handled. The decor was on point for Christmas and the vibe was very casual but oldie vibes which makes sense for it being in Anna Maria island.
