While the shave ice and smoothies are delicious, there must be a consistent staffing issue at this store. The poor employee who was alone on a Saturday was trying to fill and take orders and of course that takes a very long time. She was so kind, even under pressure, but it is so unfair for her to be alone on a Saturday. It took us over 30 minutes to get our order and I saw at least 3 customers come in and leave without ordering due to thewait. Sadly, this is the norm for the store and not the employees fault. Owners and management, please do a better job staffing your store, especially on weekends and afternoons. read more

Honest reviews only. I'm giving this visit a 3/5 stars. We haven't been to Bahama Bucks in a year and we used to go basically every other day (actually - not kidding) The service was a bit slow. The ice took a while to come out and we were the only ones to order. The snow lacked flavor, by a lot. It looked like no flavor was added and we were just tasting the tropic creme and the sprinkles. I took my family to Buck's for the first time on the evening of 4/25/205. There were 5 employees behind the counter and they were not that busy. It took way too long for us to get our items as EVERY employee in the store was completely distracted by two teenage boys hanging out at the counter. The female that made my husband's drink finally finished his drink and set it on the counter at the opposite end of where we were standing and of course we had to go around the 2 teenage boys to get the drink. The strawberry smoothie I ordered was not good and left a bad taste in my mouth. I hope the smoothie was made wrong with the distractions and it doesn't normally taste that bad. read more

Fun, sugary goodness. I didn't mean to stumble upon Bahama Buck's, but I was getting a framing job done next door. I pulled out Yelp to search the Yelp reviews and saw that there was tons of love for this place. Since the husband was watching the baby I figured what's a few more minutes and went inside. Since this was a spur of the moment decision, I was not prepared knowing what I wanted, and there are tons of options. They do give you samples, though I was unaware of this, which I will totally partake in next time. Luckily, the employee was spot on when she told me Birthday Cake was a great flavor and I went with it. She also recommended drizzling cream on top. How could I say no to that? I went with the baby size, because I'm being health conscious, but even the baby size is pretty big! I didn't walk away feeling deprived at all. It was so delicious. It definitely satisfied my sweet tooth and I loved the sprinkles. It comes with a cute little umbrella so I got to feel super tropical. The decor of this place is so much fun. I felt like I was on the beach instead of in a strip mall. When I return to pick up my frame I will definitely be stopping by again! read more

The workers don't change their gloves. They touch their hair, sweat, clothing and register-all without changing gloves then have their hands all in the ice they give you. If you get sick afterwards -this is why. Be warned, especially when online ordering . Management doesn't care about it either. read more

This is such a fun spot! We've been a few times, but the most recent was coincidentally on the owner's 50th birthday. It was fun to see his wife had shirts made for the staff to celebrate his special day. It was also nice to see each of their employees interviewing new prospective employees. You can tell that BB is a fun place to work at and that the staff truly care about each other and the business. Now, on to the Sno... I love the birthday cake and went with the staff recommendation to add cream. DELICIOUS! And, the spoons change colors with the temperature. BB has a huge variety of flavors, so I'm sure everyone in your party will be pleased:) Before leaving, don't forget to add your paper umbrella to the artsy umbrella tree. read more

Why 5 stars? Because this is one of the best frozen sugar spots in Tampa Bay. --- --- --- Frozen sugar and me have an uncomplicated relationship. I love it and it loves me back. Just tonight before writing this review, I had 2 of the little ICEE-pops they sell at Publix. At the conclusion of #2, I was wishing I had about 8 more. It's a good thing Bahama Buck's is a few miles further than my closest Publix, or my bank account and waistline would be in trouble. Fortunately, my bank account wouldn't be too affected, as Bahama Buck's is definitely not a pricey adventure. My problem is that I'd literally eat it every day if I could, because I have an addiction to such things. But even if I stopped by on a daily basis, it would take me months to try every different type of concoction that they offer. The variety is insane here. Without even looking at the menu, you see the different type of syrups they offer, by looking at the physical bottles of syrup. They seem to literally run the length of the whole interior. But on top of that, you can get all different things of things - standard snow cones, snowcones with ice cream in the middle, smoothies, fruit bowls, etc. I opted for the snow cone with ice cream in the middle. I didn't realize it until I had already received mine, but they actually use Blue Bell ice cream! This basically clinched the 5th star for me, before I'd even taken a bite. Blue Bell is better than all other ice creams - this is a fact, not an opinion. And of course, my treat lived up to expectation. It was glorious and I will be back. Often. Cook little dessert shop. Never heard of them until my wife and daughter told me about them. The store is Caribbean themed with lots of bright colors. Menu is very extensive with shaved ice, smoothies and other similar desserts. I'm a bug strawberry fan so lucky for me they have a strawberry bliss smoothie. If you like Kona Ice then, you will love Bahama Bucks! I wasn't sure where the name originated from, but after checking out the website I got the full story. They are currently in a couple states but growing every year. Think of a bougie, layered snow cone with any creation and flavor you can imagine. They have a huge list of flavors, different candy add ons and flavored drinks or smoothies too. I'm sure even the picky person in the family could find something they would want. As I've seen recently with Sonic, they have red-bull infusion choices, sour patch kid flavors and even a cherry lime. All of the ones that we had were a hit and would order again! Aside from the constant brain freezes and blue and red lips, it's a great spot for a family treat or date night. They have a great rewards program for those who are regulars which is always a plus! Really cute place, snow cones and smoothies are their thing and there are a ton of options for flavors, including pickle juice apparently!! Lol My kids love this place, it's a fun treat for them after getting a good report cards. There's a hook game out front, which is simple but fun. Outdoor and indoor seating, good tunes, and an umbrella tree. Not sure what else you could ask for. Parking is free and ample. I take my son here at least once a month for a quick treat and escape. Great selections for all ages, and their seasonal menu is fun, too. My son always gets the same thing: rainbow shaved ice with gummy bears, but I always try something new. And I never regret doing so, either. read more

First ever review The last 3 times we've had BB it's been disappointing. They aren't using enough syrup and it's like eating snow and I wouldn't pay to eat snow I've had the syrup sink to the bottom before but I've been digging to try and stir it up but the bottom wasn't getting any better. It melt-in-your-mouth perfection ;) My drink was exactly what I was craving! Why 2 stars. Well came in today and absolutely not busy. Walked right up to the counter and not greeted. A girl finally came over to tell us they'd be with us soon. 2 people working and we waited at the counter for like 3 minutes more until the same girl came back over to take our order. Browsed Yelp reviews for this place while waiting and found that Christina liked the birthday cake flavor so that's what my daughter ordered. This is the reason they get 2 stars instead of 1 today. Taste was great, not overly sweet but had that just the right amount. This is actually one of the better ones that I've tasted here and if we do ever come back, which I'm sure we will because my daughter likes this place, it'll be one that I will order. The ice though.....melted and not crunchy like it usually is. Not sure if there's an issue with the ice machine but very disappointing. At least this visit was a free one otherwise I'd be more upset. Located in the parking lot corner this is a large shop with many selections of flavors for your shaved ice. When I walked in the two employees were chatting in the back completely distracted and unknowing that a customer was standing in the front for five minutes. When I did finally get their attention and I did get a lovely cup of wedding cake flavored shaved ice it was a hot afternoon so I totally enjoyed the shaved ice aspect. The flavoring of the wedding cake was bland light and unsweet slightly disappointing. I'm sure this will be a fun place for a smaller kids to come in mix all the flavors with. SCHMENIS MY PENIS THEY WERE SO MEANIS okay but seriously i love bahama bucks their menu is great! but the staff is god awful!! they are downright disrespectful and you don't see this at any of the other locations. they gave me rude eye rolls behind while ordering and one time i went a bit later around 8:15 (they closed at 9) and they were visibly upset that i walked through the door. it really sucks to give this review because i really do adore their food. read more

Funky, fun and fantastic! This isn't just your typical sno cone place, it is much much more! There are probably 100 flavors including super sour lemon, pickle juice, coconut and my favorite Tigers Blood (mixture of Watermelon and Strawberry). You can choice to add toppings, I enjoy the cream but they also offer something crazy, chopped pickles and chili salt..I know it sounds crazy but I'm going to be adventurous and try it next time. The atmosphere is fun with board games, a tether ball setup outside and an umbrella tree (see my pics) I'm not a super fan of sweets but when I crave something refreshing and yummy this will be my go to place! read more
