Very chewy bagels that are baked right on site. Unfortunately they only offer cream cheese or butter for toppings.. It would be nice to have some savoury fills so that the bagels could become a proper lunch. There are no tables but the bar seats up to four. Came here Saturday at noon to meet a friend. Located on a one-way parking zone so just circle the building if you enter the parking zone on the south side. I was there noon on the dot at there were still 7 flavors of bagels and 6 flavors of cookies. Friend was 15minutes late and bagel choices went down to 3! and Cookies went to 5 - be here early if you can as probably 20 people showed up also at noon.  For $6 you get a bagel they can throw in a toaster or you can take untoasted to go, Does NOT include even 1 topping. Quite pricey. I got mine toasted but since there were soo many cream cheeses and flavored butters I asked to buy more than one ($2.50 each). Staff put up some fuss which was bizarre to me as it's not like I'm not paying for them but they kept saying usually we don't let people but more than one or two. Weird. Anyway, they finally let me buy 4: Roasted garlic cream cheese, 10/10 if you like garlic Sweet Vanilla Cream Cheese, 9/10 is sweet so very dessert like Rosemary Honey cream cheese, 10/10 I would definitely get again Cinnamon honey butter - 10/10 but I would make this at home (butter bagel/toast, sprinkle cinnamon, sprinkle sugar) Rosemary Sea Salt bagel, 10/10 but pricey I also shared a Choc Quad mashup Chonk cookie - it was good but this flavor was not very exciting and I wouldn't get again.  No dine-in tables. No picnic tables out front.  Overall bagel was very tasty, but that it doesn't even include 1 topping for the price makes me say I would not come back. I have no clue how I've been living the past few years without eating these delicious, soft bagels. I have to make up for lost time now. I visited the south side bagel bar/chonk location by 99 street and 45 ave in the industrial area. Thankfully it was rainy today and I arrived at 11am with only a few people ahead of me. Small shop only about 3-5 people fit in while getting your bagels. I ordered three bagels and some cream cheese and some cinnamon butter, two really large chonky cookies and they were amazing. I highly recommend the dill bagel with the roasted jalapeños cream cheese and the rolo cookie... perhaps an Italian soda to wash it all down. Prices weren't bad either, $2.50 for a 2oz of cream cheese, easily able to use that on two bagels, fyi. My only "complaint" would be to double check the bag, no hate on the staff she was working solo and it was busy she just forgot one of my cookies and a cream cheese. That won't stop me from going back!! read more

Best bagels in yeg. Chewy. Flavourful. Delicious. Assorted flavours of sweet and savoury. This place is a hidden gem nobody really knows about. I'm surprised it hasnt blown up yet. I spent the summer in quebec and these bagels are better than Montreal's!!! Trust me I ate them everyday for 2 months... They are delicious and chewy. Theres are so many flavours. I stuck with the basic flavours for my first go and i was so impressed. The blueberry lemon was flavourful with just a hint of sweetness. It still was pretty savoury. The sea salt was great to make pizza bagels or bacon and egg bagels. They were very versatile and held together well despite all the toppings I put on them. Located in derose meat on 99st. They sell them fresh or day olds as well. They also have 10 assorted cream cheeses. I loved the vanilla one. But the asiago garlic was killer too. I would get both if u wanted a variety. They are a bit hard to cut if they are not made the day of (who buys just one bagel for just one day??? But i found they were revived in my toaster oven just for a few minutes to their former glory. BEST place in Edmonton for bagels. The bagels are chewy and delicious. They make their own cream cheese flavours all are good especially the jalapeño cream cheese, adds a nice little kick if you like spice. Also try their chonks (cookies) they had one with sea salt (can't remember the name of the chonk), it was delicious. When my wife and I went they did not have a store front so we had to call in advance to order and we picked up from a commissary. read more

We recently discovered Bagel Bar and go nearly every weekend to pick up fresh bagels (freeze the leftovers for the week). Their bagels are unreal - their soft and chewy and toast up really well. Butter, cream cheese or as a sandwich.. you really can't go wrong. Our fave is the Rosemary Sea Salt (it should win some kind of award). The balsamic onion one they had a few weeks ago was also amazing. GO! But go early because they do sell out. read more

I've enjoyed Bagel Bar bagels a few times and they are damn good. I remember when they were almost impossible to get as the online ordering quickly sold old. They've clearly ramped up production and our now based out of Vienna Bakery, although I think it's still by pre-order only. You can order online until 5pm the day before (2pm Friday cutoff for Saturday). Curb side pick up was a breeze. They also have delivery options and other pickup locations. Didn't even take the time to add cream cheese - the spiced dough and sweet top was perfect to eat as a snack on its own. if you haven't tried bagels from Bagel Bar yet, you are definitely missing out! I only ordered bagels to be delivered a handful of times so far, but you can also pick at various pick up points throughout the city to save on the delivery fee. The savoury bagels are my go to because I'm more of a savoury than sweet bagel kind of person and usually save the sugar for dessert. The bagels are handcrafted, perfectly chewy and so incredibly soft. If I had to pick a favourite, I'd pick the Jalapeño Cheddar. I love ordering the assorted savoury bag because you can't really go wrong with any of the bagels in there and who doesn't like a bit of surprise every once in a while! I do love that the bagels stayed fresh and soft for a good week because I ordered 2 assorted packs and that's how long it took me to get through them! this is probably due to them being made fresh daily! They do also make frozen packs, which I also have tried, and after a good 10 minute toast, they are totally soft and chewy as usual! So if you just want a bagel every so often, that is a good option as well! The only downside is with the frozen packs, I don't believe you can select which bagels you want as they only come in the randomly assorted packs as of now. The cream cheese and butter are definitely also worth noting! We also ordered a tub of the roasted garlic scallion butter and totally droolworthy. Definitely, the right choice. But all the available options sound delicious! They recently also started offering chunky cookies and bialys and don't sleep on either of those either! If you love cheese and more cheese, the bialys will be up your alley! They don't skimp on the cheese and perfectly hot, melted cheese is perfect as the weather starts to get cooler, but really, I'm sure I'd be able to enjoy them any day. The bialy was a bit borderline in terms of saltiness; almost too salty, but not and I generally am the girl that prefer to have low salt food, so likely, saltiness is acceptable for the majority! Overall, the bagels understandably so are not to miss at bagel bar. They are worth a visit or paying the extra delivery fee for! And if you were going to order anything, order extra, you won't regret it! read more

Came for the bagels and cream cheese, stayed for the chocolate chunk cookies. Truly the best chocolate chip cookie I've ever had!! The pepperoni pizza bialy is so good.
