two weeks ago had a everything bagel toasted almost no taste, the inside was chewy kind of hard to consume, cream cheese with scallions. Our hosts for the weekend grabbed breakfast sandwiches from Bagel Alley for us to enjoy. This was one of the best bagel sandwiches I have ever had. I got a veggie sandwich and they had broccoli, tomatoes, peppers, and onions grilled up like an omelet. The everything bagel was delicious, kind of crispy on the outside and soft in the center. First time here. I was greeted with fun pictures of smiling bagels and a great community board of local business cards. I really like when small businesses have an area to encourage other business to support each other. I was welcomed by a nice gentleman behind the counter. He took my order and name. I only waited about 3 mins and then the person making the food called me. When I went to grab by bagel she smiled and told me to have a nice day. The bagel was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. It was a more cream cheese than I like but easy enough to scrap off. I think they do that because many people like more cream cheese than less and they are covering their bases. The entire place was very clean. I didn't even see a crumb on the floor. It may look outdated but I rather the place look outdated and be clean than updated and chic but dirty. Overall, I was very happy to try this hole in the wall bagel shop. Ever wonder where they came up with the phrase "hole-in-the-wall" place? Well, whoever came up with the phrase must have based it on places like these. As it's very apparently....a hole in the wall. Bagel Alley is a tiny, quaint little place that's tucked in further than a boomer's collared shirt. It's so tucked in, that there are signs directing you where to enter into the building, since the door you first see is NOT the entrance. It's just a side door. Meanwhile, the main entrance ironically looks like a side door. That's because the street it sits on is ostensibly a one way. This also means you can only really approach this place from one direction. So, for reference, you'll want to turn at the road right next to the Citizens Bank, then take your first left (I forget the name of the street, honestly), and finally another left at Eldridge. Parking is....scarce, really. I mean, this is downtown Nashua, whad you expect? It's easiest to park on the left side of the road facing the restaurant. There's a dining area inside. Though to be fair, Bagel Alley seems more like a grab n' go type place. And that's okay. The entrance (much like the dining area) is claustrophobically cramped. Hence the moniker "hole-in-the-wall". At least Bagel Alley lives up to its namesake. It is literally inside of an alley way. Now, for the stuff everyone really cares about.. The bagel sandwich I tried today was better than most I've sampled around here. Including Brooklyn Bagel. In fact, I'd dare say Bagel Alley rivals the likes of Bagel Cafe in Manchester. Although, I still feel the latter outshines the former. And....oh yes. Just to get the obligatory caveat out of the way (though it's been said many times before by other reviewers), this place is strictly **CASH ONLY**. Good thing I read ahead and also always keep at least a 20 on me, just in case. Not my favorite thing, but....not really a show stopper either. I'll definitely be returning to this place again and again, though....I can't say it'll be very often, given the cramped and tucked away location. Driving through downtown gives me anxiety. A little hole in the wall family run and owned. Just a great place to grab the best bagels in Nashua. Just be aware that there is some type of homeless shelter directly next door. They often congregate on the sides of the road. They seem pretty harmless and I've never had an issue with them, but just know what you're rolling up on. They only take cash. Just fyi. read more

My husband and I live in Fort Myers, Florida. We were in Nashua for a Funeral and stopped into Bagel Alley for a bite. Their bagels were delightful, delicious, warm and full of flavor! We had an Everything and a Blueberry Bagel with assorted add-ons. Then the killer-icing-on-the-cake was the Salt-Brine Cukes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Totally unexpected surprise!!!!! Fresh and clean with the aroma of newly sliced cucumbers! I'd never imaged that taste. However, I now know I need to go back there every time we are in Nashua area. I don't come often enough, it's a 5 minute walk from work. Well, the shift I work they're closed anyways. But days where I'm either wrapping up work in the morning, or just starting, I stop in. Like this past Monday morning after working 16 hours, I needed a treat. I picked up a bacon egg and cheddar cheese on a Garlic bagel. Oh heaven did that hit the spot. The bagels are delicious and fresh, soft and just the right amount of chew to them. The morning manager will on occasion pick up a dozen bagels and cream cheese, and bring it in for staff. That's the other times I do get a bagel from here when there's leftovers. Place is warm and cozy, the staff are friendly. I had been going to Bagel Alley for Years but moved away. Every time I'm in town for a visit I stop in to get one to eat and a half a dozen or so to take home with me. I was very disappointed to see that they are not using the ServSafe requirements anymore. As we all know, it's a cash only establishment and I was shocked to see that after the gentleman took our money, he used the paper to grab our bagel and placed it on the counter. I proceeded to watch him prepare our bagels as requested but he didn't wash his hands nor did he put on gloves. Then I saw another helper come out of the bathroom and began rubbing his hands all in his hair before putting his baseball cap back on. He returned to the counter and he too didn't wash his hands nor put on gloves and went back to work. Really?! I little girl requested a large cookie but noticed a bug on it. They got her a new cookie from the back and yes the old cookie was removed but I was shocked to see that it wasn't thrown away. The guy just wrapped it up in paper...why, I don't know...hopefully for him to eat later but not to sell it to another person. The place was crowded and I didn't want to make a scene but felt something should be said. This was one of my must stops when I came back in town but sadly that visit will be my last. Needless to say we didn't eat our bagels... Maybe they will read this and go back to providing ServSafe services! read more

I've had their bagels before as we found them in a small grocery store nearby and we decided to check them out while in the area this trip to Nashua. To be fair, we got there close to closing and it looked like earlier in the day they had a great selection of bagels. They had only a few flavors left when we came in and we went with the most interesting choice available which was dubbed a healthy bagel. They have a lot of sandwich options. We went with the cheese melt. I will also say they have some cheesy yet cool bagel art quoting movies and other things all around the store so visually it was fun to look around as we waited. The bagel cheese melt wasn't exactly what I expected. A bagel sliced in two with Swiss (they really should give options here as I hate Swiss and it wasn't in the description on the board) cheese melted on top of lettuce and tomatoes. It was just okay. I took the cheese off of my side and did like the tomatoes and lettuce. The bagel tasted just like a plain bagel so not sure how it was the healthy option. Not great but the price was okay so not like we paid too much for a so so sandwich. read more
