Really awesome bagel nook located in a very hard to find spot. This is super convenient for anyone who has to trek to the turnpike every morning and needs something to get them through the morning. The breakfast combos are definitely a drawing factor. The size of the food really sells the place though. Overall the bagels are delicious, just the right amount of airyness to chew. Out of all of the places in East Brunswick area, this also has the best veggie cream cheese. Everything tastes fresh and is filling. The only reason I docked a star is because the food took quite a long time to make and they accidentally included onions on a sandwich when I asked for none. I wouldn't mind the timing if anything that I got was hot but nothing had to be cooked and it still took about 15 minutes. read more

What a weird mix of good and bad. BEC was good, but they forgot the ketchup. Everything bagel had a lot of everything seasoning, but was on the small side and very dense. The raisin bagel was nice and light, fluffy and big, but not a very strong flavor. Tuna salad was absolutely gross- didn't even taste like tuna. Avoid that at all costs. They have coffee and all kinds of bagel spreads and sandwiches. Our favorites are the toasted poppyseed with butter and the cinnamon raisin with the maple walnut cream cheese. My husband and I used to go here every morning. The pork roll, egg and cheese on an everything bagel is phenomenal. The coffee is hot and fresh. Unfortunately that's where the buck stops. The female at the register is beyond rude. If she isn't on her cell, she is eating at the counter, acting as if you are imposing on her time. We went in this morning and, true to form, no smile, no welcome, nothing. She takes a phone order...no problem. Another call comes in and instead of putting them on hold, she takes the order and walks away. Tired of waiting and hungry, we just walked out. The men who prepare the food are very nice, friendly and welcoming. They will come to the counter and chat with you and make you feel like a valuable customer. Meanwhile she acts as if she has better things to do, talks down to you and is just plain rude. We would continue to come here every day if she wasn't at the counter. I literally just paid $19 for 2 $5.49 breakfast sandwich's, a $1 Arizona, and a $2.50 Snapple bottle. Some people can not admit when they are wrong. I called in a bunch of food and they completely forgot to put in order. Being the only person in the place I could not believe I had to wait 30 minutes for a veggie burger and cheesesteak. When my good finally came I didn't check it. I know that's my fault but I thought being the only person in the place that my order would be right. I was so wrong. Normally a wrong order wouldn't dictate 1 Star, but how management handled it does dictate 1 Star. I called back and told them they forgot my fries. The answer I got was "you didn't order fries". I know this is nonsense. So I told the lady that I very much did and with attitude she said "than come pick them up". Sooooo she's just willing to give me free fries? We ended our conversation there. I called back a bit later and asked that my receipt be read back to me. The man who answered said I'd have to come in. I informed them I was charged for French fries I didn't get. To that I was told that I wasn't charged for them and that I don't know what I'm talking about. Too bad I get the same thing regularly and know I was charged for them. During these difficult and scary times of Covid 19, Bagel 1 came through with flying colors! I called in an order for no contact delivery, and it was here within the hour! Scallion cream cheese is flavorful with support from fresh onion. Relish is crispy and delicious. Meat Lover Burrito, with sausage patties, potato, bacon, American cheese) $5.5, 5/5, It has a strong hearty meat/ fat flavor. Wrap is fresh and soft. Potato provides smooth texture paired with meat, and cheese. It is a heaven for meat lovers. Pastrami omelet platter (with cheese, onion, home fry) $7, 5/5. Fry is fresh and crispy. Wheat toast has a hearty fat flavor. It is great if you like it. Omelet portion is generous. Flavor of egg, pastrami and cheese combination makes me smile. read more

It's located on Old Bridge Turnpike (which is a road that runs sort of parallel to Route 18) in a little strip mall with a tiny parking lot. Upon entering you'll notice it is larger than you'd expect, with plenty of seating. You'll also notice the number, and size, of their menus. Menus on one wall, menus on another wall, laminated menus on the tables, menus on the napkin dispensers. Prices on the lower side. They offer your typical short order grill food plus deli sandwiches, including many named after celebrities -- a practice which seems to have fallen out of fashion these days. Just a larger number of combinations of the typical items, which is nice. With a Dunkin across the road, competition must be strong for a place like this and it's clear they are trying. The bagels themselves, alas, are fine but nothing special. My recommendation is if you are frustrated with your own bagel place, as so many of us are from time to time, they are worth a try for a change of pace. read more

I'm very impressed! It's definitely one of the cleanest bagel shops I've seen. Has a great amount of seating. I enjoyed a breakfast combo of lox and let me tell you they definitely balanced it well, the onion and tomato and lox were evenly balanced so one wasn't out weighing the other. Selection on coffee is great, I enjoyed the organic Peruvian coffee and wow it's so smooth and you can tell low in acid, didn't bother my stomach one bit. I will definitely be coming back again.
