The guys at A A Storage in Porter's Neck are absolutely fabulous! Before I even moved down to the…read morearea, I called and spoke with Andrew. He was exceptionally personable and helped me decide which storage facility would be best for my needs. I let him know the date I would be coming to the area and to please make sure to have a climate controlled facility available to me. He did as promised. When I arrived Andrew was ready to lend a hand in helping my friend and I unload our truck. During the process, my friend fell ill, and Courtney the other employee at the storage facility made sure to come out with several bottles of cold water and help Andrew with getting all of my belongings out of our moving truck. I was extremely impressed with how well they packed the storage unit and took such care with my personal items. I have been back several times to the storage facility and each time I'm here the guys are always ready to lend a hand if I need it. I can't say enough positive things about my experience here and I will recommend A A Storage in Porter's Neck to everyone needing a place to store their stuff.

I visited before signing the lease and the space is clean and not rusty. We ended up renting 2 units bc of our complicated moving situation. 2. Access + security Personalized codes and cameras everywhere. I was glad to hear that they have cameras everywhere (I'm sure this is standard) and the fact that they track who comes in and out. 3. Tina She deserves her own category. She was very kind and assuring on the phone. Then, in person, she warmed us with her genuinely good heart. On the day of our move, she was there to offer us water and other equipment just in case we needed it. She stood by to see if we needed another unit because we just wasn't sure how space we would need. Excellent location, if you're stationed at camp lejeune.

We started off paying $115 every month and by the time we left we were paying $188. Our place is still not finished but we went to retrieve something and found out there was a leak somewhere in our unit. We lost all of our furniture and belongings to mold. Not only that we pulled everything out and found mice droppings and that our stuff had been chewed on by mice. Not to mention we found German Roaches in our unit that infested our belongings. Some of our stuff even smelled like a dead animal. We had to get rid of over half of our stuff and they charged us another $75 to rent a U-Haul to move our stuff that was damaged in their facility. They are over priced and uncaring, don't waste your time here.

Outright Negligence, Bait-and-Switch, and Zero Accountability…read more This is hands-down one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. I rented a storage unit at Go Store It Self Storage (20 Garris Rd, Wilmington, NC 28403) and was assigned a 3rd-floor unit. When I arrived to move in, the elevator was completely broken. The on-site manager openly admitted they could not fix it, and multiple tenants confirmed the elevator had been out of service for days -- meaning the company knowingly rented upper-floor units that were effectively unusable. That's not an inconvenience -- it's deceptive and irresponsible. I contacted corporate customer service expecting a basic level of professionalism. Instead, I was met with indifference and refusal. There was a first-floor unit available, yet they refused to move me as a courtesy, despite the fact that THEIR facility was not functioning as advertised. Their solution? Charge me an additional $30 per month to access a usable unit. In other words, I was forced to pay extra for their failure. That is a textbook bait-and-switch. This company took my money while providing a non-functional facility, showed zero accountability, and pushed the cost of their neglect onto the customer. Renting a 3rd-floor unit without a working elevator is unacceptable and borderline fraudulent. If you're considering this location, be warned: equipment may not work, management won't help, and you'll be expected to pay more just to get what you already paid for. Avoid this place unless you enjoy frustration, wasted time, and being taken advantage of.
