Immediately placed order because we were appalled at the level of service. Took 40 minutes to make two burgers. Mine came out burnt to a crisp after being ordered medium-rare, and at this point I talked to the manager, he assured me he could get a decent burger made for me in under 5 minutes. Never got a refill on my first cup of water even though I was empty half the time. We've gone multiple times over the last year, and each time the service got worse. At this point we're both done with this place and will Never return. Handled pathetically, Horrible servers, untrained manager, and cooks that don't know how to make a burger. Not quite sure they'll stay in business much longer if it continues like this. Honestly, STAY away if you value your sanity, care about service, or care about quality. I've been to two different locations and loved every experience I've had there. The drinks can satisfy a wide range of connoisseurs with craft beers and traditional tallboys to wine to unique cocktails and even to boozy milkshakes. The Mudslide is by far the tastiest evening treat I've had for nights when I'm not starved but just want fries and dessert! Let's get real though -- the option to build your own burger (or salad) is the main reason I'm here for them. Personally, I prefer the option of having other entrees that feature rice, pasta and a protein but getting to build my own burger is seriously worth it. I'm cursing myself for not taking a photo of the build your own burger menu template but trust me when I say, it's so customizable! Cool burger joint! They have a large menu but the staff is very friendly and helpful with the suggestions. My wife and I started with the fried pickles appetizer. I had never had fried pickles cut this way but they were crisp and delicious! Bad Daddy's has a feature where you can build your own burger (beef, turkey, chicken, or veggie) and also build your own salad. I ordered a turkey burger with lettuce, bacon, pepper jack and a poblano pepper aioli. The aioli was actually a great surprise to the burger! First visit post-COVID. Safety measures seem to be in place and followed. This visit there was an issue with the taps and I couldn't have the beer I wanted. The Bad Daddy's Ale is delicious and not on the menu. Ask for it. Onion rings are light and flakey and great. Staff is nice and friendly. There is to a bad item on the menu so I can't name them all. The only reason this hasn't been downgraded to a 2 star is because the food is still good and worth trying. Wild mushrooms are still great. Even the American cheese has a fine flavor. Tater tots were hot and crispy. Service however is consistently problematic. I've been here 4 or 5 times now and can't say I have had great service a single time. For a late lunch on a random Tuesday, it was not busy. My daughter and I were seated and waited probably an uncomfortable 5-7 minutes before anyone came by. I finally had to flag down the hostess to get our server. We ordered and didn't have to wait super long for the food. So after we're done eating, I look around for our server again. From the time she dropped off our food till the check came, we did not see her a single time. No "how's everything," no "does your lovely daughter want a refill," nothing. Oh actually, I think it was someone else who brought our food which means we didn't see our server a single time after she dropped off our drinks until she brought our check! Probably a solid 15 minutes. And there was no one else in our section. A previous time, the manager was very generous in trying to make things right because the kitchen was taking so long with our food. The last time we were here, a table next to us got their food way before we did and not because we ordered more or because it was more complex. I think if you want to lounge around at the bar and order there, things would be fine. Delicious burgers! I ordered food for pickup and the time estimate was reasonable and accurate. I ordered the Bistro Burger (medium) with a side of sweet potato fries, and everything was delicious! I could have just been extremely hungry due to a late dinner, but I finished my leftovers the next day, and it was still amazing. Kudos to the amazing staff at Bad Daddy's Burger Bar. They were kind, gracious, and really added to the overall experience. Bad Daddy's Burger Bar came to Atlanta earlier this year and is expanding as we speak. They are currently planning new locations in Roswell and Smyrna later this year. The restaurant originally began in Charlotte, NC over a decade ago and now boasts 28 locations. The ambiance: This place has a nice vibe and definitely gets solid marks for a casual eatery. They have a bar area and a nice patio which has about 6 large tables. The overall layout is a typical casual American eatery with a laid back, easygoing vibe. Our server, Destiny, could not have been nicer. BUT it was Ashley who really stole the show. She is currently in training to run the new Roswell store that is opening in September. She was extremely friendly and gave us TONS of interesting "behind the scenes" information. When she found out that I had been thinking about trying the new fried deviled eggs appetizer but had chosen something else instead, she sent over a few complimentary ones for us to try! How nice is that? I'm sure fried deviled eggs are on the FDA's top 10 most wanted list but these eggs were seriously tasty. I would definitely order them again on a return visit. This place has some serious choices. There are plenty of house burgers to choose from (with your choice of beef, turkey, chicken, or vegetarian patty) and the option to make your own. I'm warning you...there are TONS of options here. If you suffer from analysis paralysis when making decisions, this place will not be easy. There are tons of sauces, toppings, and breads. I thought they were solid but I wasn't crazy about the sauteed onions. I thought they made for an interesting flavor but I'm not sure I wanted that on a burger. Onto the entree's...I chose the grilled chicken sandwich and boy was it da' bomb!! The chicken is juicy, tender, and flavorful. You definitely can't go wrong with this piece of chicken deliciousness. I dare say it beat the burger hands down! My friend tried the grilled chicken salad and also raved about the chicken breast. Make no mistake...this grilled chicken is the real deal! Sadly, the fries were just average, and that's being generous. They weren't very warm and were lacking in the flavor department. Wooohooo!!! I'm glad I got a chance to check this place out on a Monday evening. I sat at the bar but they do have plenty of seating. I chose to build my own burger and I'm glad I did so that I could customize it. However, you do have to ask for lettuce and tomato because contrary to the menu, the build your own no longer comes with these automatically. I chose french fries for my side, perfect. I also was able to try the Bad Ass Margarita for $5 because that's the Monday special! You can only get 2 of these and I asked why. It's because there's 3oz of tequila in the margarita! WHOA! One bad ass margarita was enough for me LOL. The burger tasted like it was fresh out of a cast iron skillet, hot and juicy just like my momma makes! I loved it! I've gone through a lot of burgers in my life but this was definitely one of the most delicious ones! Bad Daddy's is part of a multi-use development and a sports bar. Lots of TV's and comfort food with a full bar and great drink/beer menu. They have a modern interior and a good patio to hang out on as well. The service is always good and its a great place to hang out and watch games ... or to have a relaxing meal at. The menu offers classic bar items but they did a good job staying true to their name and offer a really great burger menu with creative combinations. The just mentioned bacon cheeseburger is super awesome but also heavy and large. Last time I had the Pittsburger which is basically a cheeseburger with shoestring fries and a good alternative - in any case the burgers are cooked very well and made how they are supposed to be. They also have a black bean burger that is awesome and their fried pickle chips are hands down the best appetizer option out there! [Location/Ambiance]: Located in the newly developed Chamblee mixed-use area nearby the walmart. Parking is available in the private lot or in the deck. Try to find one closer to the entrance so there isn't a time limit if you are there for lunch. Inside - Kind of reminds of Applebee's with an assortment of random objects found at a thrift store tacked to the walls. Lighting - pretty harsh in the booths if you're snapping pics. I.E. check how dark the shadows are. [Service]: It's still newly opened, but our server jumbled things up quite a bit during the night. Understanding that the restaurant was very crowded when we arrived. I don't think they were expecting to be that busy on a weekday night. I'll be lenient but.... she forgot to put in our appetizers (though the front manager did comp it for us and apologized.) Also, our milkshakes were probably left at the pickup counter for some time, they were more like melted smoothies when they brought it to us. Some of the side dishes were also missing from my friend's orders. I don't think I'll ding them too much on this review but hopefully, things improve once they know how their crowds will be like to staff correctly. [Food Highlights]: BD Snickers milkshake - A good amount of sweetness and ice cream but definitely more for dessert than an accompanying drink with the meal. Fried Pickles - Wooooo, these were salty. The brine that the pickles are in, I think could use a cup or two of less salt. And this is for sure the pickles as we removed all the breading off to figure which was causing the overly salty flavor. Cooked well though. Thin bready and crisp pickles but the salt is a bit much. Buffalo tots - These were pretty decent. The buffalo sauce could use some tweaking to make these really stand out I think. I did like how the tots were cooked- soft and moist while still having a good crunch on the exterior. The blue cheese was kind of meh. It didn't add much to the flavor. Truffle Parmesan fries - Ummm... the truffle taste is present. Though I feel the parmesan is more of the powdered variety instead of the shredded kind. The expectation of cheesy fries doesn't match up of what is brought out. Decent app but leads you to want more when you read "truffle parmesan." Bad Ass burger - I was kind of hoping for more because all of my friends's voiced that their burgers were pretty good. My burger was a bit plain on seasoning, that not even the buttermilk breaded bacon was adding more depth of flavor I feel. Adding some ketchup and light salt to the burger patty helped. The burger itself was cooked a bit longer than what I requested for medium- possibly due to resting. Aim for medium-rare if you want your burger pinker. The buttermilk breaded bacon was.... ok. I think the visual is more of the wow factor but I didn't taste anything that made it exceptional to order. The bottom got soggy from the pickles and lettuce so it deteriated pretty fast, leaving you just to eat it like an open face sandwich. This is definitely a big burger. Order it if you are really hungry. {Summary}: For a family-friendly chain, it's pretty good. I think I just got the short end of the stick of how my burger was made as another friend ordered the same burger and his tasted moderately better. I'm glad that there are generous portions even for the create your own salads and burgers that are the same amount of food if you ordered a pre-built option. I love hamburgers and creative ways they are prepared. This establishment opened up in my area so of course I had to try. 1. Environment... LOUD it was packed and noisy. If you go here and expect to be seated soon please decide if you're staying or not instead of griping about delay. Wait time is 45m to an hour. And if you want a bar seat that too is a challenge. Dont rush people by pressuring them to hurry and eat or drink and leave. I saw alot of people standing behind people at the bar getting hostile. Let me say first that this is by far the best burger I've had! I love the option to build your own...burger, shake, and salad! I tried the Bad Ass burger. You can get the smaller version with a 7 oz patty, which is what I did. Buttermilk fried bacon comes on the burger, unique and delicious! Having ordered the 7 oz, I still couldn't eat the entire burger! The ingredients were all fresh, and the service was excellent! Finally a place that uses real quality cheese!! Really a shame. This place used to be good. Went there tonight. Burgers were soggy. They were missing things, like no barbecue sauce on the Western burger, missing onions, etc. If it was just one item or order, it would have been one thing but it was all of them. I have been to Bad Daddy's in both Raleigh, NC and Colorado Springs, CO. I was very pleased with both, so when I saw them opening less than 10 minutes from my house, I was excited. So on grand opening day on 1/8/17, I was there at 11:30am. Parking was adequate in a brand new mixed use community. It looks like Bad Daddy's is one of the first businesses open in the community, but plenty more coming. I was promptly greeted by several people. It was opening day, so as is correct, they appeared to be a heavily staffed. My wife and I started with the Ba-con queso. I had never had it before. It was awesome! My wife and I ate it all. It was just an amazing blend of flavors that just popped in my mouth. My wife and I shared a Bad Ass Burger. It is quite huge so sharing was wise. Omg...I love the gooey cheese on it. And the patty was cooked to perfection and was super juicy. The fried bacon is amazing too, but I removed 2 of the 4 pieces to prevent an instant heart attack :). Fries were fresh, and I love getting a side of Bad Daddy's sauce to dip them in. Mercedes was a very attentive server. Drinks were kept full. We were checked on by several members of management who were all super friendly and appreciative of our visit. This place is quite the happening spot in Chamblee. 7:00 on a Saturday and we were quoted a 30 minute wait for 2 people. Turned out to be 5 minute wait. Very nice drink selection including alcohol and nonalcoholic choices. They were out of the one thing I wanted most: Creature Comforts by Tropicalia. But my server had another recommendation for me and was even able to get me a tasting of it. Apparently their signature margarita has a limit of 2 per person. They have a lot of choices for food. Including the make your own salad or burger. I built my own burger and was delighted by my choice. Their chipotle ranch was great for my tots (I LOVE tots as a side). The Bad Ass margarita is on point. A lot of tequila plus an amazing lime flavor has me reminiscing about all the "bad" decisions tequila ever talked me into. One Bad Ass Margarita is enough to shake off a bad day at the office. Two Bad Ass margaritas and I'll need an Uber to the house. The Bad Ass Burger is solid. The fried buttermilk bacon threw me off. The bacon is sliced extra thick and fried in a buttermilk batter. This treatment of the bacon results in more of a pork cutlet affect. Imagine a decent 10oz burger patty with a pork cutlet on top and then packed into a regular hamburger bun. Maybe it was just too much meat. Maybe the buttermilk fried bacon was too rubbery. Either way, I pulled the bacon off the burger and went on to enjoy what I really came here for, a burger which proved to be good. Good flavor. Held together well with each bite. Cooked as ordered, medium, not over cooked. This place is working hard to get it right. This should prove to be a great neighborhood joint. The waitstaff is friendly and they aim to please. A few years ago I would come to Chamblee in order to get tire service at Discount, bit due to the construction it was not many places to eat (a great meal at least). So I was pleasantly surprised to come back to the area and find a few new & hot spots to eat at and all of them rated highly on Yelp. Just FYI, once you park in the back (near Poke) you will have to walk around to a side door in order to reach the restaurant. Once inside we were greeted and seated immediately. The service & drinks were 5 star and the food was 4.5 star. We tried the make your own burgers and mine was delicious (but I do like my burger on the medium side, and mine was more like medium well). That was by far the worst strawberry lemonade I've ever ordered, and it's probably because the bar tender or whoever made the drink decided to stretch what little bit of lemonade they had left by watering it down between our three orders, and skipped the strawberry syrup. Thankfully our waitress took the drinks back and we were not charged. The bacon cheeseburger on steroids is huge and delicious. It's so big that I had to separate the buns and burger components to actually eat. I was told the Philly cheesesteak burger was lackluster. If you're crazing an actual cheesesteak, skip this menu item as it's more so ground beef that they've cut up and put on a hoagie. Plus it's missing the standard cheesesteak cheese. The service was only ok. Our waitress was helpful but didn't seem very attentive until it was close to closing time and she was likely ready to start closing out her tables. Be prepared for a long wait both to be sat down and then to receive your food. Still, the wait is pretty worth it. The burgers are delicious and huge! The have some ready to order but they also have the built your own option, any option is great. Went here on a busy Saturday night and I must say that I'm impressed with their food and service! We were told when we arrived that the wait will be about 30 mins but we weren't even there for 15 mins and got seated. The interior is your typical burger joint. Similar to burgerfi. I ordered a customized burger topped with cream cheese, mushrooms and bacon. The burger was delicious! I ordered it well done but it was still very juicy! I don't remember what burger my sister ordered but it was very good as well. I ordered a side of sweet potato fries and she ordered garlic Parmesan fries. The garlic Parmesan fries, in my opinion, was okay. I've had better. We also ordered Oreo milkshake. Although, they were extremely busy, our server was very sweet and attentive. There was a bit of wait for our food, but it's understandable considering they were busy and haven't event been open a week yet when we went. Definitely recommend this place! read more
