I just wanted to leave a review regarding the Orem location and in particular an employee by the name of Caleb! I will try to keep it short, but not likely to work because I have a lot to say! I have worked in retail and been an owner of a couple of retail stores. I know that a retail stores success is based to a large degree on the employees that are running it! There is an employee there (I am not sure if he is the manager or not, but if he isn't he should be......in my opinion) His name is Caleb and I have never had better customer service anywhere than I had this last Thursday 5/19/22!!! I had a last generation type phone I was trying so hard to get pictures off of. I had been to several other locations and no one could help me. I walked into Bad Apple, no appointment or previous phone call and was immediately helped by Caleb!!! He not only was so helpful, he answered all my questions, didn't make me feel hurried, was patient, explained things to me, and after checking all the phones ,told me he could get the pictures off of my main Jitterbug phone as well as #3 old ones I had kept, a couple of them for years! He checked all the phones and said he would be able to transfer all of the pictures for me! That meant a lot because many pictures on their were pictures that meant so much and couldn't be replaced or replicated at all!!! A lot of pictures of my Mother that just passed away!!! I am going to get a new smart phone, but didn't want to loose those treasured pictures!!! He told me what to get a USB 16 GB and he could transfer the pictures on all my phones onto it for me so they could be printed off and I wouldn't loose them! I did that and took it back to him and he is still helping me do what is necessary to get those pictures!!! All of the other employees there were also very nice, that is why I thought that Caleb was most likely the manager because after all the manager does set the mood, etc. in a store, right! I would give Caleb, the Orem location Bad Apple and A+ and #10 Stars, there really wasn't one thing I could think of that could have been improved upon!!! Caleb is really such an asset to that business and I am so grateful that I went into Bad Apple last Thursday, and Caleb was working that day!!! Caleb did all of that as well as answer a question my son, that was with me, had about his smart phone and wasn't even going to charge me. I insisted and paid him some money, I am sure no enough, but it was at my insistence that he even took that money, he was just so professional,helpful and nice!!! I will go to Bad Apple again for sure should I have any problems with my new smart phone and I will strongly recommend it to everybody I know that has need for the type of services provided by Orem Bad Apple, Caleb and the other employees there!!! This is the first yelp review that I have ever done. I feel so strongly about my negative experience that I would be remiss if I did not share what happened. Short version: I would admonish anyone seeking device repair to go anywhere else. Do not go to Bad Apple or Fix It Mobile. They egregiously damaged my product while it was under their care and did not fix it. They did not respond appropriately, professionally or in a timely manner, in my opinion. They did not take proper responsibility. Places you should go instead (I did the work for you, THAT is how strongly I feel): Simply Mac Expercom Affordable Laptops Best Buy uBreakiFix Long version: I brought my MacBook laptop in seeking repair of my track pad. Bad Apple repaired my track pad (very poorly, might I add. The staff admitted to it being a bad job). 4 days after they "repaired" my track pad, they called me back and said that the audio on my laptop had completely gone out, while under their care. They kept my laptop for 19 more days. They did not call when they said they would call. They did not stick to the timeline that they claimed they would stick to. They exhibited extremely poor customer service. At the end of it all, my audio was still out. I explicitly spoke to them saying that I felt it appropriate that I be compensated for damage done to my product while under their care. They agreed. BUT they did not do that. They returned my product to me in worse shape than when it arrived 23 days after I brought it in. They told me that I signed something that said they were not responsible for damage done to my product while it was under their care. I was not informed that what I signed had that implication in any way whatsoever. All they said was, "You cannot expect us to detail every implication of what you sign. Please read things completely before you sign them." WHO DOES THAT?!? NO ONE DOES THAT RILEY! Worthy of note: I was not a belligerent customer (they even mentioned to me on several occasions that I was extraordinarily patient and understanding). I communicated clearly and made my opinion known repeatedly. I did everything I possibly could have, including escalating my claim to upper management. And in the end I felt extremely mistreated. Customers seeking electronic repairs, I admonish you to take your business elsewhere. I personally will not be returning to Bad Apple. read more

The screen on my iPhone 5c cracked when I dropped it on the pavement outside the mall. At first, I went to Simply Mac in Orem because they're the closest authorized Apple retailer in the area but they told me I would have to go to Murray to have the screen replaced. I was like, no. That's too far. I was going to send it off to Apple. Then I remembered Bad Apple next to Smiths and figured I at least try it. Worst case scenario was they couldn't do it either. The place is super tidy and clean. All minimalist. They service Apple and android as far as I could tell from all the variety of cases they sell. It was super easy to leave my device. I filled out a tiny paper form, signed a waiver and went to finish my shopping. They had two gentlemen working and both were super nice and knowledgeable about my device. Super friendly too. By time I left I felt pretty comfortable that my device would be fine. I returned about 30ish minutes later and my phone had a brand new screen. I feel like it responds better even. It had the factory screen cover on it and they offered to put on a regular screen protector for an extra 5.00. Ofc I said yes. Do you know how hard it is to put on a screen protector? It was 100.00 dollars for a new screen 30.00 dollars cheaper than Apple and I didn't have to pay any shipping. Like I said, the two gentlemen were really nice. I would recommend Bad Apple to anyone who's looking to fix their phone. read more

These guys were awesome! A little background: I had shattered part of the screen on my iPhone 6. I took it *somewhere else* to simply replace the glass and when I got it back the glass was millimeters lifted off of the frame so that looking from the side you could easily see into the phone. Also, parts of the frame were SUPER bent when they had been perfect when I brought the phone in. I was told that there was just too much "frame damage" to fix the glass from lifting and that there was nothing I could do. This seemed a little sketchy to me so I decided to bring the phone to Bad Apple. Within 20 minutes the guys at Bad Apple had completely fixed the phone and made it look brand new again the way that I had brought it to the last place (minus the screen of course). They showed me SEVERAL things that the other place had broken, put in the wrong place, or just completely left out of the phone. They were so nice and willing to help and explain to me everything that was wrong with my phone. Definitely bring your phone to these guys!!!!! Don't trust anyone else! read more

Bad Apple was a great choice for my phone. It's kind of funny, usually happy customers don't leave reviews which I wasn't going to until I read the 1 star review left by Stephanie. I remember being in line behind her. She was very rude to all the employees in the store and talked to them like they weren't humans. They treated me great, and went over the waiver with me about how they will not warranty physical damage after the repair. She obviously didn't pay attention to that, plus her story on how it broke changed about 3 times. I thought the girl with the Pokemon shirt was very sweet and caring about the customers. It's a phone repair shop where they are probably nerdy. They don't need to be wearing suites. I thank Bad Apple for all the repairs they have done for me and my family. I had to leave a good review on my experiences after seeing her put such a bad review after seeing first hand how immature Stephanie acted in the store. read more

Imagine how you'd panic if your phone just quit! And then you remember it got dropped into water. Ooooo noooooo! It hit me while I was driving - while I needed the maps, texts, etc. Thankfully, I knew of the Bad Apple in Orem. I drove right there & was so lucky to have Corbin help me. First of all, he was so kind & gave me hope. I needed that! He saw that it was indeed wet inside & suggested I leave my phone on their special drying machines overnight (gasp). He cautioned me nicely that it may not succeed. When I arrived the next morning Corbin was already checking it. Great, miraculous news! It was working 100%. How much did he charge? No charge! Where to begin! Today was the first time at Bad Apple. I was impressed with Nick, Ed, Will, and Greg! I initially thought I needed a part replaced. I called and got a quote over the phone, the price was great, so that is why I went to Bad Apple over any other option. When I was there Nick helped me at first and wrote up my ticket. Super nice guy! I came back an hour later to pick up my phone and all it needed were the guts cleaned out. They didn't charge me a thing. I was super impressed with their honestly. Over the past 2 years I've had two iPhones suffer severe water damage and on both occasions these guys have treated me great and have taken care of me. Unfortunately, on my first visit the water damage to my phone was beyond repair. However, they were able to restore power to my phone just long enough to perform an entire backup for me, which was awesome and saved me a lot of headaches...they didn't even charge me for it!!! Last week I was in again for the same issue with a newer phone and they were actually able to repair it this time and only within a few hours of me dropping it off. A couple of days ago, my son spilled apple juice all over my LG smartphone. I was so worried it was gone for good. I took it in to Bad Apple in Orem, and they said they'd take a look at it while we waited. Within minutes, it was as good as new! The man who helped us definitely knew what he was talking about and how to fix the problem quickly and correctly. He was also kind and honest about his services. I had many issues with a phone I had purchased which I brought into bad apple. They are AWESOME! They helped me to get my phone working and treated me so well. I had shopped around and most places were not friendly and just didn't care, but when I went to BAD APPLE they helped me and explained things to me better so I knew what was going on with my phone. They made the process seem like they were helping me and not just trying to sell me a bunch of parts that who knows if I needed them all. Shattered the screen on my iPhone 5c, to the point that I thought there was more damage than just my screen being unusable. They told me when I dropped my phone off that it'd probably be between an hour and 75 minutes that they'd call me to let me know what the "diagnosis" was and if they were able to get it fixed. No more than a half-hour later, they were done and I was on my way and happy to have my phone all repaired. My husband and I have a son with severe autism. He often finds a way to break his iPad. We have taken the iPad to Bad Apple on three different occasions. They have been able to fix the problems, and since it didn't require opening up the iPad, they have never charged us for the repairs. We are even embarrassed that they haven't let us pay them. How often do you find businesses willing to do that for its customers? This business values customers and adds a very human touch to their transactions. I took in my iPad that had issues with the charging port. I only had one workable cord for it and that cord wouldn't work with anything else. I feared that if that cord failed, I would have no way to charge my iPad. Rob looked at it, found that the cord had left a little metal piece in my port. He worked to remove it, and had it done in minutes. NO Charge!! They were so nice and the young lady working answered all of my questions while Rob fixed my iPad. Will definitely be using them again since our family has 4 iPads and 2 iPhones. read more

Incredible service. I had my iPhone 11 fixed by some BYU student and other the screen was fixed, the cameras were both not working. I brought it in and they said they didn't have the part and could order it for me, but one of the workers said that they had an extra phone That we could maybe try out. It did not take long, and it worked! They did not charge me full price because they technically had an extra part available. I shattered my iPhone screen and these guys were quick (about an hour) to fix it. My only complaint, and it's really not even their fault, is that the after-market iPhone screen is terrible. It really struggles with setting the cursor in typed text and deactivating the screen during phone calls or when it's in your pocket. I'd definitely recommend these guys to a friend, but do yourself a favor and spend the extra 30 bucks on getting an actual Apple screen. read more

I bought an Apple XR phone from Verizon and was having problems updating from the cloud all my old phone contacts. I went to Verizon and they said that they legally could not help and referred me to Bad Apple. Went Bad Apple and they helped me, got it to sync and also helped me with syncing my Apple watch from the old phone to the new. I offered to pay for the service because of their time and the rep said no charge. Really happy with the help! read more

The glass cover for the lens of my phone had fallen off, so I brought it in to see if they could immediately fix it, or if I needed to make an appointment to bring it in (since I couldn't spare my phone for a few days to wait for it to be fixed). I was helped by Hunter, and he was able to quickly glue the glass cover back on quickly, and I was able to be able to leave after just a few minutes! SUCH A GREAT EXPERIENCE! My husbands iPhone 5's battery has been terrible and not lasting more than a couple hours. They replaced his battery for $25 and it's fantastic! They cleaned out his phone too (the charge port was full of dust and lint) tested other symptoms as well. They also sell accessories for cheaper than Amazon! I bought a Speck phone case and a 6ft cord. Nice guys also, I'm impressed. read more

I went back in and they completely fixed my problem with a smile on their face even when I probably didn't deserve it.
