I give this place 5/ 5 no doubt. We have been ordering here often times with DoorDash and i thought might as well check this physical location. It is a small hidden location and parking is limited including street parking. But it was all worth it. This visit did not disappoint. Hospitality was great 5/5. The flavor of each dish we ordered was 5/5. I'm blown away the savory and consistency of their food. Inside is not as wide, they have comfortable tables and chairs, well lighted and home chill atmosphere. They deserve a visit and expand this place. I got the chance to meet the amazing chef that blessed the food with her magical touch. And I also met the owner and thank them both for the amazing food and service. This place deserves to be featured more out in the open. It is worth every bang of your buck

When I came in, I had already seen the menu outside to kind of guess what I wanted. I walked up to the register, the person working there greeted me and asked for my order. I ordered a few items. The lumpia's were ok, the batchoy was pretty good with decent amounts of meat and liver, and I'm glad I got the pork skewers! That is an awesome plate of goodness, well seasoned, flavored, and grilled! The inside is small, but big enough for the restaurant's needs. It is clean though. Get the grilled pork skewers!

The food was good. I was expecting the chicken inasal to be smoky but it was not. The flavor was there and it's cooked perfectly. Other dishes were fine and savory. The pancit was a little oily but it had great flavor. Service was great and the food came out fast and fresh. The place has small dining area but if you're early enough, you'll get a table. It's not your typical restaurant. You will need to order on the counter and they will serve you your order. It's more like serve yourself kind of thing.

I really had hopes with this one because I love grilled chicken. We ordered the Chicken Inasal (Chicken breast) and Liempo. We had to wait 15 mins for our orders to be ready. Chicken Inasal has generous portions. However, the chicken didn't have any distinctive taste even with soy sauce and calamansi. Same thing with Liempo, great portion but it missed that delicious taste in them and it was quite dry.

Heck yea!! This place is great! Friendly staff, fresh food (not salty) and piping hot! The fried fish (bangus) was the best I've had. The eggplant omelette and beef soup were also delicious! The halo halo was awesome! There are so many more things to try. Can't wait to go back.

My first time in and it was a good experience. We tried the bbq pork, the soup, and lumpia and it was all good. I enjoyed the flavor of soup the most but it was a lot of meat, too much meat, more meat than noodles like 70/30 lol. Very cozy, no frills, small restaurant with very friendly service. Small shared parking lot.

I called in to order the Bangus Steak, Longsilog, and Chicken Breast Combo, and everything was fantastic! The food tasted fresh, flavorful, and had that comforting homemade quality that makes you feel like you're eating a home-cooked meal. The place itself is neat and cozy, with just a few tables and chairs--perfect for a casual dine-in if you're in the area. They also have a great selection of Filipino dishes, so there's definitely something for everyone to enjoy. A big plus to their service--Frank and Jane are so friendly and accommodating, which makes the whole experience even better. If you're craving authentic Filipino comfort food, Bacolod Chicken Inasal is worth checking. Will try the Batchoy next time:)

Stopped by here after Malibu beach camping and the food was very good. We met the owners and they were very nice and attentive. We bought food to eat there and take home an would stop by again if we were in the area.

Best chicken inasal i have ever tired. Owner and staff were really great too. Cute place to have a family meal

    Laing
    Michelle Z.

Food was ok. I liked the taste of their Laing, but I thought it needed to be a little soupy, it was kinda dry, maybe because it was already cooked and just heated up. The lumpia taste like lumpia, and the chicken? Well it taste like it was also heated up in the grill. The price of the bill? A little pricey (came out to $60.00 for 2 plates, lumpia, and Laing, with 2 drinks) I must say, nothing to make me want to come back. We were just in the area and I was craving Filipino food. Oh and be careful if you're using credit or debit, they charge 4%, in our case, it was charged twice and they gave us back $3. I don't think they do a great job explaining that you'll be charged extra for using a card. People were eating when we arrived. It was simple, nothing extra, and cleanish. No frills dining for $62.00, dining for 2. Also, when we were there, the father from the other family was there walked out mad because they bought dessert or something else and was charged that 4% again. He was totally upset about all the up charges.

Came back again for a sudden strong craving for their grilled chicken It was sooo good!! Still deserve a 7-stars review! Their grilled chicken is addicting, though!! Try at your own risk!! Large portion, under $15.00 with tax!! Winner winner chicken dinner!! Tipping optional The young boy cashier; Nathan was so nice.. friendly, polite and professional at the same time! As non Filipino guest, I asked about other items in their menus. He tried to give the best service and answered my questions to the best of his knowledge. Kudos, Nathan! I asked for 1 calamansi citrus, they gave me 2!! They aren't stingy! For those who had never eat grilled chicken with calamansi citrus squeezed on the chicken, TRY IT!! You won't regret it! This citrus beats lime and lemon.. all day! I told one of the ladies, my nick name on Yelp! She was like; you are Mango? Then she said, I'm going to tell Ate (older sister in Tagalog. Asians; Philippines, Chinese etc normally call other older female as sister). Then the owner stood by the kitchen door and thanked me for my first/older review Funny and so sweet of them! They make the customers feel like a part of their family, welcomed and appreciated! At least, I felt that way!

I know this review is so biased because I'm from the same hometown where the authentic Bacolod chicken inasal hails from, and so is the owner of this phenomenal food joint. And coming from someone who grew up eating this and hasn't been home. Flying 3,000 miles is a place to go for those memories of authenticity, and it is worth it. This time, I had the pancit canton, longsilog, and salpicao. The pancit canton has so much flavor with crisp veggies. Longsilog is comfort food that takes me back to 25 years ago with perfectly cooked over-easy eggs, sweet and savory sausage, atchara ( pickled green papaya), and the beef salpicao is addictive paired with garlic rice. Trust me, you'll keep coming back for it; it's indulgent that when you start, you can't stop. Laing was added recently and it's extraordinary, just be prepared to eat extra rice. They are consistent when it comes to flavor, and the service, attention, and hospitality is typical of a Filipino household. Coming here is like eating at Lola's (grandma's) house. IYKYK. Haters are going to hate, but this is legit ilonggo food, and our tastebuds don't mess around because we know how certain dishes should taste like. 5 stars as always!

The Bischoffee or Banana Latte or Corn Coffee were all very tempting but I went for my preferred drink these days Strawberry Matcha although as I stood there waiting for my drink (which quite a bit longer than my friends American) I was regretting not trying one of their insane looking coffee drinks (aka deserts). My BF said his Americano was excellent, not acidic or bitter in any way. My strawberry matcha was good, a bit too jammy, but not cloyingly sweet although the matcha itself was mildly flavored, it was highly caffeinated since it kept me from falling asleep at my regular time. If I was in the area I'd absolutely go back there again.

It's off Reseda and its parking lot is usually a hot spot among people. There is a good amount of parking but depending on the time, it fills up quickly and can feel tight trying to maneuver your way through and find a spot. Ambiance: Cafe 86 is a, they specialize in coffee and matcha and truly have an expansive menu featuring lots of delicious ube variations. There is a good amount of seating in the cafe, from normal tables to a couch to lounge on. The interior of the cafe is lined with brick and the warm lighting casts a soft cozy feeling. There is ample space to sit and enjoy your drink. I'd even say it's a good spot to study as it is spacious and does not get too loud. Drinks/food: We've tried the Iced Ube Matcha latte, Iced sea salt latte, Iced Ube Latte, as well as the Ube truffles. I love the ube flavor and it pairs perfectly with their matcha. They don't use the highest quality matcha but the ube flavor carries and still provides a nice tasty drink. The iced coffee was good, a little too sweet and kind of just an average latte, nothing to write home about. The ube truffles are something sweet that hit the spot if you have that sweet ube craving. They are soft and chewy and just the perfect bite. I am definitely biased in general because I really like ube so if you aren't the biggest fan you may not like it Overall this place does make their drinks on the sweeter side so going half sweet is smart if you don't want a blast of sugar. Service: Everyone thus far has been extremely friendly and welcoming! Overall: Cafe 86 is a solid spot if you are in the mood and have a craving for sweet, ube forward drinks and sweets. The menu is fun and unique, especially for anyone who enjoys ube flavors. The cafe itself offers a comfortable, inviting space that works well for hanging out or getting some work done. While the drinks can run on the sweeter side and some of the drinks are just average, the overall experience is still enjoyable. The friendly service and relaxed atmosphere is a calm choice for a new casual cafe stop, particularly if you are there for their ube specialties.
