Great new addition to the south end Queen Creek! Love this place as all the meats are cooked over an open flame (wood), so they all have a wonderful smoky flavor. The food isn't overly priced and believe they still have taco Tuesday specials on top of it all. The line to order inside the restaurant can look intimidating, but has always gone pretty quickly for us. They do have several salsas to choose from and the first few times I ate here, I tried them all. But after a while, I find myself gravitating to the mild red sauce. Note the mild red sauce is really good...tastes like whatever pepper they use, they roast it first...I put that stuff on everything I order from here. There is a huge patio section out back. Since they just opened in the summer, I haven't seen anyone sitting out there yet, but they do have heaters the winter months. My only complaint is with the drive-thru. Depending on how busy they are at the moment, some people will go down 2-3 aisles before making the turn to get in line for the drive-thru. However, there is always some jerk who turns down the first aisle, playing stupid, thus trying to cut the line causing verbal shouting match and honking or horns. I recommend that the staff put up cones so no one can enter the drive thru without going down 3-4 aisles first. read more

I've gone here with my coworkers during our go-lives at Queen Creek. It's very eclectic Mexican food that has live atmosphere coming from the kitchen. And derived with unique food that will make you want more. I had the Crazy Potato Steak/Carne Asada and it was delicious. I literally finished the whole bowl which was wrapped in foil. They have sauce stations with different levels of spices. I mean you kinda have to have those ingredients added to your meal or it wouldn't be authentic. The establishment has an indoor and outdoor seating, so it's nice to be able to sit outside and not smell like tacos. read more

Decor and seating were amazing however, the food was over priced and very disappointing. I ordered a birria taco for $4 and what I got was a tiny street taco with shredded beef worth a dollar, NOT a birria taco and NOT worth 4 bucks. I wish I took a picture, but it took 2 bites to finish. Also ordered 2 quesadillas and turns out...the quesadillas are just tacos! And not a big quesadilla sized tortilla like you would assume...literally a taco. Like bruh, how are you gonna sell tacos AND quesadillas (tacos) and mark up the quesadillas 3 bucks for the same thing, that's wild! The line was wrapped around the corner so we figured we'd give it a go, but turns out definitely not worth the wait. I hate to say this, but Taco Bell would've been a better choice, yikes. Megan the manager is awful. I am at home sick, asked my husband to stop by and get me a bean/cheese burrito. When I got home it had very little beans in it and was super skinny/flat. Most of the burro when I bite it was tortilla. I called the restaurant explained and said we go there often so we know this isn't the norm. Before I could even finish talking Megan then said well if I don't like it I can always ask them for extra beans. I explained again this was a to-go order so help me to understand how I would know this little was in the burrito. She stated well you said you are a regular. She also said they no longer fill their burritos but they do a spread of beans?! What? I'm so confused by this statement. So if I want more I would need to request extra beans for a real burrito? As I am speaking to her she makes the comment "I know exactly who you are and do you want me to replace your burrito or not"?! I asked how she would know who I was when I had never gave my name. She explained her daughter went to school with my son & I guess she didn't like me much. (keep in mind this was over 5 years ago) I then stated okay so this is a personal thing, not about the burrito I am calling about. I then asked if I can speak to another manager or someone else because she was being super aggressive. She again repeated do I want a replacement or a refund or not? So then I asked her if I cannot speak to someone else now, to pass my number to her manager. She then told me maybe I need to not come back again because of my behavior? Then hung up on me?! What level of crazy is this...?! I just called to explain I know this isn't the norm and let them know. She repeated multiple times she is the general manager and I am appalled if this is really true. We frequent your establishment fairly often and this is super disappointing leadership! Went here for a Taco Tuesday lunch and enjoyed it so much I went back to get a take-out dinner for 8 people. Everyone, from adults to middle school to elementary age loved the carnitas and al pastor tacos. The chicken ones weren't as popular. The meat was nicely cooked and the tacos had the right amount of spiciness. I also bought a carnitas bowl, but won't be getting that again. The mix of the meat, rice, beans, pico, and guacamole sauce just didn't work together, in my opinion. Plus, there was too much liquid from the pico de gallo. The container of refried beans was also popular with my family. Good consistency and nice slightly smoky flavor. There is inside dining as well as a large patio. The location in Gilbert is super popular and this one is starting out to be, too. It's faster to order take out inside rather than wait in the long drive through line. We usually have no problems, but the last two times going through the drive-through, we got home to horrible street tacos falling apart so bad you couldn't pick them up. Soggy soft shells ugh I was so disappointed my husband went then next day Tuesday said it was a fluke so he got him a 3 taco flour rice and bean meal got home sat down and wham same mess. So hear are the pictures just do yourself a favor and eat there. They have an amazing salsa bar and great staff, but if you get take out and get home and have the issues I did well, you end up with slop and making nacho. No fun. so I suggest eating there. Got myself quesadillas a carne asada and pastor and both were naked basically just cheese and cabbage and in the pastor pineapple and 3 pieces of pastor:( I'll keep going cause I know everybody has bad days but guys! Location was well kept, the staff was friendly, it smells like a smokehouse outside, food was okay, it was worth the price paid.

This place has no heat and it is freezing cold inside. I think it is colder insider than outside. I asked the staff and they said there was no heater. They laughed and thought it was funny. I guess it is funny but the food isn't that good and definitely not worth freezing over. read more

So, what happened? Portion size dropped noticeably on the burrito and the bueno bowl I purchased yesterday. They've always been the most consistent place I go to when it comes to quantity so I don't think it was an oversight. Update: I've now visiteed BT several times and have dined in. Interiuor is wide open space adjoined to a large outdoor patio. Love the salsa bar, very cool. Inside was clean and staff were cleaning tables after patrons left. Nice to see some effort to keep things clean. Food is still great! I think I'm finally done with backyard taco. I like their food. But I hate the nickel and dime charges for anything extra, and I just can't see paying $4 for a single street taco, especially as small as they've gotten as servings. Fix your pricing model or you'll go out of business. read more

I can't believe the pictures quesadilla is $5. It's one type of shredded cheese in what is literally a store bought tortilla. I could've made the same for about 50 cents at home. The carne asada burrito, on the other hand, was pretty good- had lots of meat and I felt the price (about $10) was fair. I just can't get over that quesadilla. read more

A "meh" at best. Overpriced, bland food. Inconsistent. I've been a few times that the food was okay but I've gotten bean and cheese burritos that were almost all tortilla with very little beans, tiny tacos with very little meat, etc. It's okay if you are wanting a quick meal that isn't fast food, but it will come at a premium price. Also, asking for tips with a credit card reader at the drive-through is tacky as ever. Just stop. I'm not tipping 15% for someone to literally hand me a bag of food. read more

The worst customer service I've ever experienced. Went through the drive through, they messed up my order and left out the hot salsa I ordered. I went back in and they told me it would take another 10 Minutes to fix my order when I had already waited 10 minutes in the drive thru. They refunded my money and acted like I was a pain lol. No apology from anyone I spoke to. You're in the CUSTOMER SERVICE industry. You had an opportunity to make it right and completely failed. And my bf said the burrito was not good. My boyfriend and I wanted something different than the regular food we get, so we decided to try this place out. We got the birria quesadilla, chips and salsa, and horchata. Everything was so good: the birria was so juicy and the consommé (birria juice) was fantastic. The horchata was definitely the best I've had and chips and salsa were just as good. So I went back again this week for some tacos. And once again my order was incorrect. It's not a big deal but when it has happened more then 3 times continuously it's a problem. I honestly believe the staff prepping the meal is rushing or just not paying attention. Order in the front is taken correctly however once I get my food it's incorrect. And I know they were busy so I didn't say anything and just ate my food. But just like everyone else. I pay for my food and nothing is cheap. I don't mind paying if my meal is right and not wrong.
