What a great experience at Lowe's today and a big shout out to Saud the employee that helped me. I…read morewill say that Saud very authentically charming smile and easy demeanor was truly appreciated. No hard sell, just pleasant and with a subtle sense of humor. Good start... So my "Lola", yes I named my old refrigerator has been glitching and the freezer portion has ascended to the heavens. Last night she started flashing numbers on the control panel. Before it dies completely I decided to bite the bullet and go fridge shopping. My daughter actually directed me to Lowe's. My go to would have been RCWilly. She found a great sale going on at Lowe's and so this morning it became my mission to go find a new fridge. Great sale, outstanding customer service, and although I convinced myself I wouldn't be romanced by "craft" ice cubes, I will now happily drop craft ice orbs into my next cocktail. Thank you Lowe's on Kitzke! And thank you and RIP Lola for 16 great years of service!

Still have NOT figured out how Yelp reviews and photo links work…read more.. If I were to guess, I need to do a review XXXX days after I upload pictures for it to link?!?! Quality/Quantity - Consistent. The cleaner and more organized of the big box home improvement warehouses. Atmosphere - See above. Again, cool drive thru lumber department. Open 7 days a week from 6am to 9pm and on Sundays from 7am to 8pm. Plenty of parking. Service - Sadly still similar to their competitor. In the past, the service with this brand was better than their competitor. But I am a self service DIY person anyways, so service matters less to me. Curbside pickup available. Price - Slightly more than their competitor, but still reasonable. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1921 with your 2200 locations and growing. You were #1, the largest hardware chain store in America, until 1989 when Home Depot surpassed you. I am a customer of both companies.

Looked on line for a fence pole. Drive to this one because they had them. They were not on the…read moreshelves. Employees went out of their way to get them down from a top storeage area. They then put them out for others. They helped us find the other parts we needed. Checkout was manned and went quickly. The parking lot is a bit hard to get in and out of.

To be honest, this locations seems to have a lot of issues, especially with sanitation…read more I visited to get some parts for my toilet which they had in stock. It took a second to find as toilet repair is next to new toilets and separate from plumbing which makes sense. The service wasn't great, no employee ever spoke to me the entire visit, but I also didn't seek out any assistance and don't blame them for going about their work. However, I noticed a lot of birds chirping and flying around inside and a few products and places inside were covered in bird poop. I suppose this is an expected hazard when running a Home Depot, and I decided to go get some firewood and bird seed for my back yard. Outside the firewood and most of the products in the garden sections are severely weathered, worn, and are completely covered in bird droppings and seemed pretty disgusting. I decided to skip buying anything outside and went inside to get bird seed. When I approached the bird seed you could hear loud squeaking and I saw 3-4 mice eating all the bird food and jumping in between the racks. The bags had holes and there was seed and rodent droppings everywhere. I tried to see if maybe there was an untouched bag at the bottom but the entire inventory was also covered in rodent urine. Pretty disgusted, I decided to just buy the toilet parts and leave. There is no hand sanitizer anywhere and I stead of trying to go to the restroom to wash my hands I paid and left and got some sanitizer from my car. To be honest, this experience has definitely affected whether or not I would return, I probably won't until there is a bit better quality control with products and sanitation. The prices are good and the customer service is par for the course. They installed a new self checkout area which comes with more work for you and reduced staffing, but the products and quality has taken a nosedive.

The Home Depot - 6/14/24 My guest needed a custom shade today. I'm sure I will be installing it when I drive her home :)

I love having this depot in damonte. It's just 5 minutes from my house and I'm literally there so…read moreoften over the past two years, I feel like I know the black manager personally. He is THE NICEST. I hope he stays forever. I have to give depot a good shout out for their plant return policy. I bought 800$ of plants from Moana nursery a few years ago and even had them plant them for me, just so these things would for sure grow well. Nope, and when 11 months were up, and the plants mostly dead, they didn't replace them. -- when I buy plants at depot they are so good about returns for dying plants. I will only get plants from depot now. The last time I was there they had pulled all their plants inside becuase it was 8:45pm and I guess it was going to freeze that night, so I really wasn't able to get to the plants I wanted to buy and had to come back the next day. Not a big deal, it I'm glad I didn't travel far for that.

My visit to Home Depot this morning was like walking amongst the Zombie Apocalypse of employees…read more Deer in the headlights when I asked the first male employee that was manning a checkout station. I was looking for a hand held air compressor for my bicycle. Simple, right? Guy just blank stared me. I had to really engage with his eyes to get him to snap out of it and meagerly almost begrudgingly assist me. Didn't feel good. He told me the bay it could he found in. I found the compressor and almost purchased it but spotted on the packaging that it was tool only, no battery or charger. I tracked down another employee that equally looked miserably and uninterested to ask about where I might find battery and charger associated with the compressor. He directed me to customer service. Apparently this is where the batteries are housed. I stood in line with customer service for some time only to he told nope, aisle 12. I told him I was told that they were held behind lock and key at customer service. He looked like I'd cut off an appendage and miserably went behind a wall only to return and tell me he doesn't have what I'm looking for. He directed me to aisle 12 and at this point I asked if I could get someone to actually show me where they are. Since these are also under lock and key, I'd need someone to help me that had access. Again, ennui... I travelled through the store looking for aisle 12. Stood there I front of locked cases for 10 minutes, waiting for customer service and I use that term loosely. No one ever showed up and at this point, all of the other serendipitous items I had accumulated in my cart while searching for what I actually came in for were abandoned. I left Home Depot extremely disappointed with the incredibly unpleasant experience in (lack of) customer service I received from this store. I will never return to Home Depot. Not ONE employee I encountered looked like they happy to be at work today. Terrible!

Harbor freight is a good place to get some needed tools in a hurry. The quality is not the best. I…read morewas in the middle of nowhere, had to buy a socket set to put together the cargo carrier that slides into the hitch. The socket set would not switch from tighten to loosen very easily. And once switched, that socket would skip while tightening. Also, the freshly opened socket set box would not close. The latches were not lined up correctly. The nice thing about Harbor freight, as you can return stuff without much of a problem. It's like they understand sometimes the quality of their stuff it's pretty low. I also bought a hydraulic jack and when I was jacking up the truck, the seal popped on the jack and hydraulic fluid spilled everywhere. Yes they did take it back, however, you want reliability and don't want to have to make two trips. Some things that I bought that worked quite well were the dollies and the rack that fit in the tow hitch to carry luggage or other things on the back of my van. When you do buy something that actually is working. It's a good value compared to other companies. Mostly it's hitting and miss though. The workers are nice, and as well, when you order something oversize, they always have someone help you to get it out to your vehicle and help you put it in your trunk. Finally, I still enjoy the monthly coupon. Coupons where you get some free stuff when you go in. Over the years, I cannot tell you how many free things I got from Harbor freight. Free is free. That is the best value lol. Would recommend downloading the app so you can see their weekly/monthly ads . You can search for stuff online and buy it. The app will also tell you which stores have the item you need... the app almost always has a 10% discount on one item. That helps when you purchase something that cost over $200. Bottom morning, I will still use Harbor freight for items needed quickly, but I don't care if they last .
