Amazing bbq. Best place in town. My group had brisket, smoked chicken, and ribs. All were awesome. Ribs melted in your mouth. This place brings back memories, since it is in an old Shakey's Pizza building. Funny, the place seemed pretty big back then, but I was only six, so go figure! As far as the food goes, l'd call it "fast food BBQ", and I mean that as a compliment. you order at the counter, and the counter person tells the cook, who dishes it up in front of you. The ribs, pulled pork, and brisket are all outstanding. The macaroni salad is good, but I didn't care for the BBQ spaghetti or Texas chili. Fries are good, but they should halve the serving size, and offer a 2nd side. I'm guessing they serve a big pile since they put the fries in fryer when you order. read more

I have eaten a lot of BBQ and if u want good barbecue this is not your place. Have eaten the brisket and the pulled pork. Portions are generous but flavor is lacking. Almost as if food is purchased from a local distributer then warmed to serve. read more

This was my first time at their new location in Sioux Falls. Same great food, friendly staff, and "real" decor of the restaurant in Brookings. The have good, consistent and addicting food... Rarely liking "restaurant ribs" I was hesitant to try and was pleasantly surprised. I will be heading back sooner rather than later. read more

Great kc style BBQ in Sioux Falls. Dry rub style and put your sauces on at the table. Ribs were great had a nice smoke ring. Had the pulled pork sandwich and that was good as well. Others in our group had Mac and cheese side, fries and chips which were all all right. Sdsu ice-cream....can't go wrong with that!!! You order/pickup at the counter ...not sit down order style. We had a party of 12, for my perants 87th and 81st birthday party. We all ordered full combo meals and drinks. We had brought a cake for them but forgot the plates. We asked if we could get 12 syrofoam plates. He said he could not possibly let us have them but would charge us .13 cents a piece for them. Now of course a $1.50 is not going break us, it just seems to me like very poor customer relations. 12 syrofoam plates, at for a table that brought in $150.00 worth of business? Really? You can get the same plates at Walmart $4.50 for 150. read more

My wife liked her ribs a lot, and thought they were better than Famous Daves. I thought my brisket was so-so, a little dry and not so flavorful. The hot bbq sauce at the table helped a lot. The brisket sandwich would have been better had the bun been toasted or buttered a bit. As it was, the sandwich and sides reminded me more of a picnic lunch than a restaurant meal. read more

Had a great lunch experience. Pulled pork was very good with the golden mustard bbq sauce. Beef brisket was life changing with the the backyard bourbon bbq sauce. Wings were over cooked, tough, and small. We ended up throwing away a large order of our wings and picked up food from another establishment on the way home. We were very disappointed. Maybe the other food they serve is better, but I definitely do not recommend getting their wings. read more

I love this place. The fries are awesome and you get a pile of them. I prefer the brisket sandwich, but our boys like the ribs. Ribs are a very personal choice, as there's the dry rub crowd or the sloppier choice of wet basted in sauce. I like both, but back yard servers a dry rub rib with the sauces on the side. My credit card was billed twice for a total of $40. During the transaction, the employee said they were having credit card issues and ran my card twice assuming the first time it didn't go through. When I noticed the duel transaction, I went in a few days later to clear up the issue with my bank transactions. When I went in to ask for a refund, they said they couldn't give me a refund and insisted I get a gift card instead. I thought this was strange and that if they could charge my card twice, they could refund me as well. I had a weird suspicion this would happen. Same employee told me that can't refund this purchase from the previous couple of days without the owner present. Told him to call owner so we could resolve problem. Wouldn't do it. I told him to refund the purchase or I'll dispute the charge. I simply disputed the charge at the end of the day. Won't be back because I had a couple other bad experiences as well. read more

Absolutely the best BBQ place within 500 miles. I tend to get the brisket combo with beans and potato salad. I've had the pork and chicken sandwiches too. The cornbread is great. The golden BBQ sauce is my favorite to pour over my sandwich! I've eaten wings here too and they are really good. You just can't go wrong eating here! They have a smoked prime rib on Fri-Sat that is incredibly good. Good quality prime rib and the smoking done perfectly.
