The staff at Lake Humane Society are purr-fect!…read more I have contemplated about getting a cat for a few years, but never was proactive in doing so. About a month ago, a friend of mine sent me a link to cats that she knew I'd like, which happened to be at Lake Humane Society. On a whim, I decided to submit a inquiry form, never assuming that they'd contact me in less than 24 hours and ask me to visit within another 24. Within 48 hours of submitting my inquiry form, I was at Lake Humane. Going in so soon was honestly a bit nerve wrecking, and due to my trepidation, the staff member suggested that I took my cat home on a foster agreement, rather than adopting so that I could see if I truly was ready to be a pet parent when and to ensure that my prospective pet and I were a match. My cat came already neutered, with his shots, and the staff members were kind enough to clip his nails for me (as I was nervous of doing so myself). In addition, they provide you with a voucher to take your new furry animal to any vet in Lake County, free of charge, as long as you visit within 3 weeks of adopting (in addition to providing you with a years worth of flu shots). If you need any materials for your animal, you can purchase it in-house. I got a scratching post, toys, furniture, carrying case, cat food, and cat nip, all from the society for a very affordable price. I genuinely have nothing negative to say about the Humane Society. My entire experience was a great one. While I have no aspirations of getting another pet, if I did, I know where I'd go.

I hesitate to write this review because if I tell people about it I'm afraid the big awesome secret…read morewill get out! So Pet Supplies Plus has a dog washing station inside the store. Here's the deal: Bring your dog into the store check in with the cashier. They turn on the water and you take your dog back to the washing station. There are two washing stations one high for smaller dogs one lower for larger dogs. They provide leashes to tie your dog up with or you can use your own. Once you tired dog up you can turn the water on it and so after shampoo there's four separate types of shampoo you can choose for your dog and the water is a perfect warm temperature feels like about a hundred degrees. The water will run for half an hour during that time there's plenty of hot water. I was able to wash and rinse my dog twice. After you're done washing they give you towels and there's also a hair dryer that hooked up to a Shop-Vac like hose that you can use to blow dryer dog and it works tremendously. I was able to blow dry my dog and then use the towel to touch her up after. And here's the cool part you can buy a card for $25 that allows you five dog baths so instead of paying $10 for a single visit you paid $5 for your first visit and then you have four more visits for the balance of $20. This is a great deal and a great bargain I suggest you give it a try five stars all the way around.

I've brought it in, and for some reason they are incapable of making a record of this in their computer. I just recently came in for an appointment, and was sent away because of no proof of rabies vaccination, again. With gas prices being what they are. I have no time or money for this endless nonsense. I will be taking my business elsewhere, which is a shame, because it's close to home.
