Hands down the BEST daycare, and boarding around. My dog has been coming to Cleveland Metrobark for the past 7 years! We absolutely love it. Located in the heart of downtown on 38th and Payne Avenue, it's convenient to all local highways and eAsy access to and from work. The staff and owners are passionate about the dogs they see everyday. My dog is thrilled yo go to daycare and comes home wiped out. It's more than a place to send your dog, they host Halloween and Christmas parties, summer socials, winter bizzars and that's just a few of the amazing events. You can take your pup for a full or half day, board them for the week or send them with their favorite staff member. It's truly a family atmosphere. read more

Just started taking Molly for daycare. Winnie's mom recommended Metrobark after I told her that Molly got told she was too old for daycare from another place. I have only been there once but have been in contact a couple times through phone conversations. So the fact that they gave me the correct address shows they have patience. Place is clean. There is outside and inside with no crates that I saw. They needed to interview her to make sure she played nice. I picked her up after 2 hours and we now have a day care boarding place. I just want to thank everyone there for making her feel comfortable and safe. More to come. read more

Used to love this place and brought in my dog whenever the schedule worked for us. They open early and allow late pick-up, which was very nice for our schedule. One time she stayed over for boarding and got a call from them the second night that she was bitten by another dog. They asked me to come pick her up but the reason she was staying there was because I was out of state. Rushed back and picked her up the next day to realize they left her untreated over the night and she had never been seen by a vet. And they had the nerve to tell me "She didn't even cry that much". She had big puncture wounds right on her neck and we had to rush her in for same-day surgery. She got many, many, many stitches. Was her wound at least cleaned? Who knows. Metrobark provided little to no information about the incident and just wanted me to pick her up to deal with it myself. I went back there the following week and asked for the footage. One of the owners told me that she wouldn't call getting a couple of stitches an emergency surgery. And I could barely get a forced apology out of her. She was busy doing her taxes over the phone and couldn't give me her full attention for more than a few minutes. I ended up leaving there with no footage and an injured dog. This heartless place couldn't care less I was shivering and crying from thinking about this outrageous event that caused so much pain to my dog. She had a weird smile on her face. Then I started thinking about all the times she returned home with mysterious cuts on her legs, face, nose, etc. They just don't care. They either take in more dogs than they can handle or simply neglect them until someone has to run to the emergency room crying. I wish I could love this place. Based on what happened, it's hard to believe this is a place with people who care about the dogs, or even their customers. I hope it works out for everyone else. But don't be surprised when your baby comes home injured and the most you can get out of the owners is not heartfelt concerns and apologies, but a scoff behind your back. You are just a bag of money to them and you will have to deal with your dogs after stitches and surgeries. read more

I have nothing but great things to say about this place! I have a German Shepard, who previously attended another daycare in tremont since he was 4 months. Every time I picked him up, they told me he acts like a puppy or he is hyper or "May needs training". I honestly felt like a mother picking up her "bad" son from school everyday. It was exhausting. Therefore, I brought my dog to the Metrobark. They immediately welcomed him in. In the mornings, he is always greeted warmly. When I pick him up, they always have great things to say. They ALLOW him to act like a 1 year old German Shepard. To me, it seems like they treat all of the dogs equally- all of the dogs are posted on social media and spoke highly of. I especially appreciate their flexibility. You do not need to make a reservation for daycare . So I can wake up before work and decide to take him based off of his mood. We took a long weekend trip to Cleveland for the NCAA wrestling at the Q. Generally our dogs take road trips with us. The forecast was pretty cold - so we thought we would try and board them for a night (2 days) Metrobark was very cooperative. We emailed vet records before arrival and did the "check" at 7am on the day we dropped them off. This worked out well for us. The dogs were getting some exercise instead of being cooped up while we were at the event. If we come back to Cleveland we will definitely keep Metrobark in mind! read more

Top quality dog care facility! My wife and I decided to take our dog to Metrobark because I worked downtown and it was an extremely convenient location for drop off and pick up. I have since switched jobs and it is out of our way to take our now two dogs to their location but this is the best place to take ours dogs. The staff and owner are extremely friendly and caring. The amount of indoor and outdoor space the dogs have to play is outstanding, especially when you consider its proximity to downtown. We board them at Metrobark almost every time we leave town because we know that they are safe, playing with other dogs and not stuck in a crate all day, and being taken care of by great people. Update to my last review: took him to k9 Cleveland and they loved him. Owner has 3 pit bulls herself which says a lot about the uptight staff at metro bark. I picked my dog up and they even told me he got a dog who notoriously doesn't like to play to play with him. read more

At the moment, MetroBark is closed due to the Coronavirus. We, and our year-old dog, really like the facility and the staff.

This is our first choice for boarding. It's close to where we live downtown. We usually board our Jackie for 2-3 nights. I like that the dogs have free roam during the day instead of sitting in a kennel. The staff genuinely seem to like the dogs. They have awesome hours for flexible schedules. read more

This place is great for daycare and boarding. The staff treats each dog as individuals and are always honest at pickup. I know for a fact my dog has trouble eating away from home and this is the first place that has freely admitted that and worked with him to help him feel comfortable enough to eat. Every other boarding place we have been to just says, "Oh he did great! No issues to report" when I know that is not the case just by looking at my dog. I wouldn't take my dog anywhere else now that I have found MetroBark and I trust them fully. This place gets it and really cares about each dog individually. Thank you MetroBark staff! We've been taking our dog (22 lbs rat terrier) here almost every weekday since he was 12 weeks old and he is excited to come here very single day. The personnel is very experienced, affectionate, and calm. A great perk of him being at daycare is also that he knows how to socialize and deal with dogs if all sizes. We have boarded him with the owner (Jillian) several times and know he's in good hands. We are very happy and fortunate to have this great place to leave him at. read more

I asked my dog, Riley, what she thought of Metro Bark and her exact quote was, "I think one of the things that I enjoy most is the very nature of the staff at Metro Bark, they are kind, caring and incredibly helpful -- like the time they encouraged me to jump in the pool and swim. They take care of me when I am feeling a little under the weather and ensure that I eat my lunch when I remember to bring it. Its pretty much like a Montessori School, but for dogs." Labradoodles, smart smart dogs. I like MetroBark because the staff is great! -- and really, thats about the only thing that is going to be a deal breaker for me when it comes to doggie-day care. They know my dogs name, know her behaviors, and inform me in any changes in her behavior or health that they notice. MetroBark's hours and location are convenient and their price is very reasonable. The boarding option is also helpful. And the doggie cams are an excellent distraction while you're at work -- watch the dogs have fun while you try not to think about your next meeting. While she can't really talk, Riley's tail wags all the way to MetroBark and she is exhausted when she comes home, so in dog language I think that says really good things. read more

We chose this place because they said they don't discriminate against breed, and maybe they don't overtly, but somehow our dog is always getting a bad report with no specific feedback on what he actually did. We will be going elsewhere. read more

We spent a month in Cleveland for my husband's work, and Cleveland Metrobark was such a pleasant find! The staff were friendly and accessible, every day our pup came home happy and tired and every drop-off she was happy and eager to go in (the best sign of all). I recommend Metrobark Cleveland to anyone that loves their dog. We had Roxie stay with them for 4 days and she had a wonderful time. The woofcams make it easy to know if your dog is doing well. I watched the woofcam while I was away and saw how well they take care of the dogs. The staff is very competent and caring. They understand separation anxiety for both dog and owner lol. At night while Roxie was staying with a staff member at her house, I received text updates and was made to feel very comfortable contacting the staff member after hours. My husband picked Roxie up today and he knows Roxie was very well taken care of. She probably wanted to stay lol. We will recommend to friends and family and will definitely visit again. read more

My dog passed the initial 'test day' to attend Metrobark. I bought a 20 daycare day package ($420) for him. They later kicked him out of their facility as they 'didn't like his behavior'. Ok, sure, that's fine - he is extremely high energy and can be moody. I asked for a refund for the remaining 10+ daycare days that I was no longer be able to use. It took 2 months and multiple calls per week to eventually receive a refund check in the mail. I did receive a refund, so I've updated my rating to reflect that. But it was at the high cost of a minimum of 3 calls per week, multiple voicemails per week, and multiple attempts at "email" contact through their website (none of which were answered). I never actually had the opportunity to speak to a manager, which was alarming. But there was one female employee, I wish I knew her name, who did always return my voicemails and seemed invested in attempting to help me secure my refund. Every other employee I spoke to ranged from indifferent/incapable to obstinate (telling me that refunds were not something 'they do' - which is not stated anywhere on any of the documents I signed). It was painful, but my relationship with Cleveland Metrobark is finally over. Just be wary. read more

We love Metrobark! I have been taking my larger dog (65 pound) for 2 years and my smaller (8 pound) dog for about 1.5 years. They both love it! Everyone who works at Metrobark is welcoming, friendly and greets you and your puppies by name. They provide a TON of both outdoor and indoor space for the dogs to run and play. I give them 5 stars for daycare and boarding!! read more
