Was in the Benton area during the holidays, running errands, and decided to grab a quick bite at an old favorite. I have never visited this location before but used to eat at the downtown and west Little Rock Arkansas locations back in the early 2000's. Well, some things have definitely changed. While the burgers and fries were close to what I remembered - fairy hot, somewhat fresh and slightly better than your typical fast food burger- red onion, soft bun and crumbled blue cheese (my favorite version of their burger). But what wasn't cool was the fact that the lemonade is no longer fresh, handmade but now it taste like that terrible fountain version that so many places try to pass off as lemonade. I realized that my memories of the burgers were probably boosted by the lemonade so this may have been my last visit for a while. Also, I ordered the double but got a single - we used the drive thru. Probably didn't need it anyway but I still want to get what I paid for. So if you are looking for something different from McDonald's or Wendy's this is an option but don't expect a difference experience - it's still fast food. read more

its a burger. its better than other fast food tastes a bit more classic and real compared to other fast food nearby. I would go to davids only a couple miles away on the highway. much better. this place is good burger, its decent, a little smoky, fries are alright. but the burger is tiny for the price, same price as davids and davids is much better, much bigger burger, much better fries. go to davids. this place is just ok. service is ok. good ambiance though i did like the environment. its ok. expensive. read more

I went this past weekend for the first time ever. I decided to get the Black Jack burger with seasoned fries and a fresh lemonade. Everything was so good. I was really impressed the burger was spicy just how I like with the cheese melted to my burger patty and the fries were so crunchy and fresh tasting. The lemonade really hit the spot with washing everything down. Next time you go try it it's a must for me now!! read more

I'm surprised that this place is still open. I took my daughter there for her birthday. Being her birthday her burger was supposed to be free. The assistant mgr. Said that she needed to show her drivers license. I said (she don't have any drivers license, she's only 15.) Then we need her birth certificate! read more

The man over the speaker was rude, he kept making my step mom repeat herself only to cut her off every time, and he ended up getting everything wrong. He didn't offer to fix anything and we didn't even get straws. read more

The food was not good. The fries were cooked either in old grease or were old fries. We did have plenty of ice in our sodas....PLENTY! It was better than a gas station burger but not as good as McDonald's. Biggest tip I can offer, DO NOT look into the window if you go in the drive thru. The food may taste better that way but I will never know. read more

The place was very clean. Cleaner than most places I've been. The service was very courteous and pleasant. Burgers had fresh lettuce and tomatoes. I loved the fries! Most definitely will return. read more

Visited The Back Yard Burger in Benton this weekend. We got a couple of salads, and a couple of burgers. The people working this place were nice and friendly enough. The man at the register said he'd make us anything we wanted for our allergy sufferer. He was also trying to keep up with the 'after church' crowd orders while also wiping tables and chairs. He also checked on us and our special order. They were trying. The staff needs a hearty pat on the back for doing the best they can in such a run-down space. Sadly, besides the table tops and seat tops - the rest of the place was filthy. The building is old and maintenance appears kind of ignored. The yellow wall paint complete with popcorn texture was splattered and grimy. Every non table top/seat top place in the seating area was covered in dust and grime. We were disappointed with the whole situation. Even worse, what little one can view of the kitchen from the order counter is a grimy blackened mess. So, really the employees were the highlight! Someone really needs to do some serious reno and overall deep scrubbing to this place. Not at all what we expected. read more

First time at a Backyard Burger. It felt kind of like a local place in a very tired and worn out fast food building - so I was surprised to see that it's actually a chain. The furnishings, counters and upholstery were filthy and falling apart (my pants literally felt grimy after sitting in the chair for 25 minutes). The food was okay, better than a lot of fast food. Service was friendly and decent. Not enough to make up for the overall run-down and gross feel of the place. Great chain that's made a comeback. I went in with a hungry party of 3 and we chowed down on burgers, fries, and salads. Fries were better than I remembered when they had more locations around central Arkansas. They gave me plenty of ranch for my salad without upcharging me-- which is always a pet peeve of mine. Interior was nice, but I feel like some of the tables needed to be bussed. Service was bright and pleasant though. Everybody enjoyed and we all agreed we'd seek out Backyard Burgers in the future. Everytime I have went there the food has always been super hot and so good. My favorite it their turkey burgers.
