We got the Fried Wontons ($4.59) filled with homemade Portuguese Sausage to start, which was ok... the meat reminded me of the meat inside a Menchi-katsu beef patty, a little dry. I ordered the Lahaina Platter #2 ($16.99) with Lahaina Fried Chicken, Chicken Breast Teriyaki, and Hawaiian BBQ Beef, served with steamed rice, Mac Salad, and Ramen Cabbage Salad. Like the Portuguese Sausage meat inside the Wontons, the chicken breast and beef were both a little dry but the Lahaina Fried Chicken is phenomenal, especially when served fresh at the restaurant. If you like sickly sweet Brisk iced tea with a slight tropical flair, definitely get one of those as well as an iced water to cleanse your palate before your meal. I love the music here on Friday nights! Good vibes, good music and good food. My favorite is Landslide and would love to hear it again :) I got the Kalbi plate, forgot to snag a picture because I was so hungry but it was delicious - highly recommended. As for side dishes, I went for the fried wontons, cold ramen chicken salad, and rice. There's also a lot of flavor so I didn't think extra sauce or seasoning was necessary. The flavor was alright, but I feel the Chicken could have been crispier. The Katsu was pretty standard, bur again could have been crispier. And the Kalua Lumpia wasn't my cup of tea--it felt overly oily and again, the wanton wrapper could have been crispier. I did really like their ramen slaw though--the dressing was pretty tasty. I did like that they had an online order process set up and that the food was ready for pickup within 20 minutes. I also appreciated the availability in the parking lot near their storefront. The Loco Moco was sooo good. Hamburger steak was very peppery, just like how I like to make it. The Hawaiian classic came with bacon fried rice which was just the right level of saltiness. Also, they didn't mind when my cousin ordered half spam and half Portuguese sausage. Lastly, the Lahaina Fried Chicken is bomb! Slightly sweet, but kept me wanting to go back for more. It compliments the semi-salty friend rice. The best thing to get there is the HAUPIA CHEESECAKE! It comes with the Luau platter, but if you don't get that then order it on the side.
