Ironically, my BARDAR has gone off numerous times while driving past the very strip mall in which this bar is located. It's a strip mall that screams that it has a bar in it, yet there isn't one to be found... ...unless you look in the back. But why would you? From Oak it looks like a standard one-story strip mall with nothing behind it. But it turns out there's a sharp drop in the hill and there is indeed a lower level around back. Lost Bar is a small, dark, smokey dive -- exactly what you'd expect such a well-hidden place to be. There's pool tables, games, and a small stage. There seems to be a well-knit group of regulars. Our bartender was very friendly and pleasant. Beer was poured cold and at just the right price: cheap! I really enjoyed my visit here and will be back.

And when we stepped in to head the bartender explaining to a couple of other customers how terrified she is of clowns, we somehow knew we were going to have more fun here than we'd had all day. It turned out that bartender's name was Becky, and she's 1/2 of the couple who owns the bar. The other half is her husband, Waylan, who showed up later at the end of our visit. "Having a name like Waylan is like having the biggest cock," she said. Or maybe it was B who said that, I don't remember and my notes aren't very clear. :) There is quite a collection of bras on the bar, a recent development. "A while back one of the customers just up and took her bra off, and said she wanted to hang it up. So we did. Then other ladies started doing it," Becky explained. "Now boxer shorts have even started to join the collection." We ended up spending out entire visit chatting with the bartender about their history with the bar. We really enjoyed our time here. In addition to the great personalities, this is a fun-looking bar all around and I'de love to visit again when it's busier. In fact, here's how good a time we had -- when we first arrived we noticed the Silver Strike machine and put a few dollars in it to play. But we never got around to actually doing so! :)

I also got to chat to a few of the regulars. It is an intimate space, but it was really nice. It is all bar stool seating and there's a step up into the bar and then another couple of steps to the bathroom. So not ADA friendly, but like most bars they're just dealing with the cards they were dealt in the early 1900s when they were opened! Over all, you should go check it out if you're interested in finding your own little local watering hole.

Mike happened to be sitting nearby, so B challenged him to a round. And they weren't kidding, that little dog happily climbed up on his shoulders and sat there through the whole game! It's quirky little finds like this that make me love going to these off-the-beaten-path dive bars. You never know just what to expect!

I loved looking around at all the vintage decor, which is vintage because I don't think this place has been touched in 60 years. It's everything I could ever hope to stumble in to find when looking for a hole in the wall. The bartender was friendly and we look forward to going back on more daytime adventures.

Well another group of ppl were hangin out with us since we're cool, an started to play music as well. While outside socializing a chic heard my homegirl say "bitch" an thought we called her one when in reality she was sayn "ain't that a bitch" but the chic was super drunk an heard it wrong.
