The decor is very cool and has a lot of retro interior design to it. You can also get to it by going to the back of "the other place" restaurant. The bar selection is pretty standard and is a chill place to hang. Mainly a lot of bar seating as it spans the whole side. The bartender was friendly and knew the customers who came in regularly which is a nice touch. I would come in for specials or if I am in the area again. I met some of the patrons as well and they were all friendly as well. All good vibes here

JC's has karaoke and is pretty popular among the Claycomo area working class. I, however, did not get a good vibe from it. During my visit no one was talking to each other and no one would talk to us. Not even the bartender. The service is prompt and friendly. I also enjoyed decor and it's motif to the era of prohibition.

We stop for a drink (or two) and sometimes make an evening of it because the music and atmosphere are so good. So imagine our surprise when we stopped in and ordered two drinks (Gin and Soda and an Old Fashion). The soda had very little Hendricks, and the Old Fashion was a short pour. They remade the Gin and Soda, but the result was the same. We will be back again because this place is too cool to leave after one challenging experience. We expect a bounce-back performance. The drinks aren't cheap, so expectations are high (and should be) as well. I'll let you know what happens on the next trip, and please understand that I still think this is an absolutely necessary stop-in spot!

The place is small and the decor weird with funny hours (opens at noonish on Sunday) but really clean and they have a great sound system. Did mention good people and great atmosphere? You should try it!
