The number of cars in the parking lot and the smell of wood smoke from the large smokers in the back told me I was in for a down-home BBQ experience loved by many. The main dining room is simple. Waitstaff are attentive and the whole crew feels like one big family. I ordered their signature pulled pork BBQ plate with three sides. Their flash-fried hushpuppies are great. I had them in (hot dog) frank shapes and round shapes on my travels. The frank shapes make for an easy "pick and eat" experience IMO. The BBQ and the slaw both carry a spicy kick to them. I wasn't expecting their slaw to have a kick. This is what makes theirs unique. The BBQ was so good, I ordered a pound to take home. My server added a bag of hushpuppies too (she noticed I liked them haha). Thanks for a premier experience!

My better half ordered the brisket. My side salad was fresh and crispy. Even a couple delicious pickles on top. Great start! The hush puppies were warm with a little sweet and the size is perfect. My chicken was not dry despite being breast meat. The chopped pork was moist too. The star of the show is the sauce. Yes it's vinegar based but still has some sweet to make it stick to the meats. All in all we have decided to make this our regular stop on the way to the grandkids.

The sides I ordered were Mac n Cheese and White Cold Slaw. They have very good tea. The Hushpuppies are the BEST Hushpuppies in the world. I've never had them so good and I ordered extra for the road. I could eat an entire meal of just those Hushpuppies dipped in their BBQ sauce which is a vinegar based sauce and delicious! The Mac n Cheese was not baked and had a straight out of the box taste. I didn't hate it. It was just ok. The White Cole Slaw was some of the best slaw I've ever had. It was fresh and light and made just how I like it. Now about the pig. I'm not going to lie, I've had better. I've also had a lot worse. The pig meter didn't go all the way to the top but would have if there was just more smoke flavor on it. It was perfectly cooked. Seasoned well. Was tender. And the vinegar based sauce they use is delicious. I was really hoping for more smoke flavor than I got but still very satisfied with my experience there.
