Had a wonderful first experience at Bacio di Latte in Santa Monica during their soft opening. The entire team was welcoming and genuinely enthusiastic, and the manager in particular made a great impression. After sampling a few flavors, I went with the Belgian Vegan Chocolate, which was excellent. I also appreciated the staff being knowledgeable and transparent when I asked about vegan options, including letting me know that the cones are not vegan. While speaking with the manager, I asked about bringing a couple of pints back for our office. She immediately asked whether there were any allergies she should be aware of before making recommendations, which was thoughtful and appreciated. She recommended the Pistachio and Crema Torino and then generously provided both for our office to try as a way of introducing their new location to the community. Excellent gelato matched by genuinely thoughtful service. It was a great introduction to Bacio di Latte, and I'm looking forward to visiting again as they officially open in Santa Monica.

Honestly, I could've just gotten the tart and been happy with it but that nice hint of honey was very good. The toppings were also incredible and even though there was a line it moved very quickly. It was very nice on a hot day at the beach. I can't wait for one to be built in Atlanta.

My wife suggested Go Greek Yogurt in Santa Monica so we decided to give it a try. At first glance, it looked like your typical self-serve yogurt shop. Nothing particularly special, with about six flavors to choose from. When I asked the young man behind the counter if I could sample two flavors before deciding, he looked at me like I had asked an outrageous question and replied, "We don't do that." I explained that we were planning to purchase four yogurts and simply wanted a little help deciding. His response? A shrug. Great customer service! We decided to give four flavors a shot: Greek honey, chocolate, and two others I honestly can't remember. We were still pretty full from dinner, so everyone took small portions before heading over to the equally underwhelming toppings bar. A little granola, and we were ready to check out. The damage? $42! For four small servings of yogurt. The Greek honey was decent, but the other three flavors were disappointing enough that we eventually threw them in the trash. The chocolate, in particular, had a strange chemical aftertaste. Between the mediocre yogurt, lackluster selection, underwhelming toppings, dismissive service, and outrageous price, this place was a major disappointment. Bottom line: $42 for four small yogurts, three of which we couldn't even finish. I can't recommend Go Greek Yogurt, and we definitely won't be back. Santa Monica has plenty of better ways to spend your money on dessert.

We've become big fans of Bacio di Latte after visiting their locations in Brentwood, Topanga…read moreVillage, and Calabasas. One thing we really appreciate is that they make their gelato fresh on-site every day, and you can definitely taste the difference. The texture is incredibly smooth and creamy, and the flavors are rich (sometimes overly sweet for me). They have a great selection, so there's always something new to try, including seasonal flavors that keep things interesting. Our favorites so far are the Giandujotto, which has that amazing combination of hazelnut and chocolate, and the Tiramisu, which tastes just like the classic Italian dessert in gelato form. Both are absolutely delicious, and we keep coming back to them even though there are so many other tempting options. Their affogato is also fantastic. There's something about pouring espresso over that creamy gelato that makes for such a great treat, especially if you're a coffee lover. Another thing that stands out is how consistently good the experience has been at all three locations. The shops are always spotless, the staff is friendly and attentive, and service is surprisingly quick even when there's a line, which seems to happen quite often given how popular these places are. Each location has a nice, welcoming atmosphere, and it's always a pleasure stopping by. Bacio di Latte has easily become one of our favorite spots for gelato.

Besides their amazing gelato, they also sell gelato by the pint if you want to take some home. I also noticed they had brownies, pies, and cookies available, which all looked delicious. If you're looking for authentic, high-quality gelato with excellent customer service, Bacio di Latte is definitely worth a visit!
