When it comes to specialty stores at malls, the review pretty much boils down to the quality of the shopping experience.
Now, I am a self-confessed fashion retard. Unlike some of the Yelp fashion Elites, I can barely spend a minute at a clothing store without making a bad purchase. I even have a section in my wardrobe dedicated to clothes I have never worn. This information isn't probably germane to this review, but I wanted to put it out there anyway. PM me if you can be my fashion assistant.
The only reason I walked in this store was the directory at the mall. I was looking for leather shoes, and according to the directory, they had shoes. After being greeted by the very friendly Bangladeshi store clerk, I exchanged some friendly banter with her and asked her to help me make a decision on my next pair of work shoes. Pickup artists would say she was a 'hired gun', and she did mention how a lot of times guys would walk in, short talk with her, and then try to get her number. It's all good, though, because she knew what she was doing.
So, anyway, what I loved about this place was the well arranged selection of formal wear, the helpful people, and the cheap prices. I ended up getting a fairly good looking city coat. I needed one. Quality is a subjective term, and it probably wouldn't be a part of my collection for more than a year or two, but I enjoyed shopping here. The clerk helped me try on different sizes and styles, and then took a couple measurements to get some alterations done.
They seemed to have a lot of formal menswear, and I was told that shoes wasn't something they focused heavily on, especially in-store. Although I was eligible to get half off on shoes just because I spent money on the coat, I decided to put off my purchase until later.
Overall, a pretty good experience. I enjoyed the personal attention and the fact that it wasn't crowded at all. read more
