We stayed at a villa in the small Italian Tuscany town of palaia and this restaurant was highly recommended by the owners. They said it was rated #1 in the town. So on our last night we finally went with our group of 10. We did make reservations. Don't know if that is always necessary but we wanted to be sure here since we had such a large group.
The atmosphere is elegant- but we were not really dressed up and it was fine. The waitstaff spoke English, that always helps us! Started out with various bruschetta appetizers - tasty on the buttery toast. Oh and had the house wines. I had shrimp and prawns- kinda messy but worth it. Had rosemary seasoned fried potatoes on the side. Many people split the big pieces of steak that were cooked to perfection. Most ordered on the more rare side. They got to pick their pieces of meat before they were cooked.
We ordered several desserts. I loved my chocolate moose the best but they were all tasty. See the pics!
