I'm a somewhat reserved person who finds it hard to open up and feel safe with most people, but I felt completely comfortable with Mary. With Mary you get the best of both worlds. Not only is she highly skilled in what she does but she's also a woman of faith and offered me tons of biblical encouragement and insight that I badly needed. She is a midwife who believes in the bodies natural ability to heal, and to birth, but connects that with a wonderment and reverence for God. She is highly skilled in herbal medicine and was able to offer me many mixes to naturally and safely alleviate any concern/ discomfort I had during my pregnancy. My birth went faster than I expected but she was there in perfect time! Even during the most intense moments of labor, her touch and voice were so soothing. She took amazing care of us postpartum and was a listening ear for me when I had any concern about my baby and was quick to offer advice and natural remedies. Throughout my whole pregnancy and delivery she went above and beyond her duties as a midwife. She is incredibly generous with her time and remedies. I've had other experiences with midwifes and she is second to none. If my husband and I decide to have another child we will definitely be hiring Mary. She's the best out there, look no further.

I found I was wrong Sophia dissipated stress, created a calming presence and positive environment whenever she was in our home or at the birthing center. Basically any interaction we had with her made our birth experience better. I could not have envisioned my birth experience without Sophia. Sophia helped me throughout the labor process and delivery of my sweet boy. She prepared me and helped me write my birth plan but more importantly helped my husband and I be on the same page. She invited conversation supported by facts and was welcoming to our wishes. She gave us tools for pain management and practiced them with us before the birth. During the birth she helped me to progress through support and positioning and advocated for my needs. My labor process was longer than average for first time moms and Sophia was a constant support never leaving me and easily reached. She helped with holistic pain management. She was positive and a guiding light. I do not think I would have tolerated a unmedicated birth if it was not for Sophia. My birth plan did not go as planned (as they always say happens). Heather was there to help us through these obstacles every step of the way. She doesn't push you to make any decisions, she educates you and informs you and prepares you to make the decisions that fit you best. I had complications post delivery and she comforted my husband and made the phone calls and held my baby during this emotional time while I was in the OR. She was so much more help than we could have even dreamed of. She is the full package. She even took our newborn photos when my daughter was two weeks old and we turned it into our Christmas card. We also took Heather's classes to prep us for L&D. She made us feel comfortable about everything. She even braided my hair when I was in labor, so sweet! We made her work over time! Poor Heather. She was with us for hours and hours for two days straight. She was very responsive and willing to do whatever we asked her to do. She was even helping coordinate keeping my placenta and the logistics of that. I even texted her the other day to ask about recommendations for my baby and she answered right away. She's just the best of the best.

The whole thing is sad really and if it was just that, a dick and his rubber chicken flailing about for 4hrs, I'd be pissed about wasting the time but it wouldn't warrant a comment. What crosses over into "people need to know" territory is that a lot of this guy's antidotal advice is likely to get someone fired, sued or arrested. He was Advocating assault, destruction of property and risky contact with bodily fluids all under the guise of "someone needs to be the boss in an emergency situation," and "look how I much of a badass I am," So maybe look somewhere else for first aid training

As a first time mom, wanting an unmedicated birth, with a birth team that fully supported me and my husbands wishes, I couldn't have done it without them. I absolutely love all the midwives! We were lucky enough to have Hannah and Shelia at our birth and they created a safe space, gave me my autonomy and supported me throughout. It was exactly what we had hoped for. The space is warm and cozy. There's 3 birth suites, the main one being the one we labored in, but you become familiar with each room at your appointments. Everything is done in house, the appointments are well over 30-1 hour in length and you never feel rushed. They will answer all your questions and support whatever birth you wish for. I felt so safe and loved. We will definitely be back when we have another baby in the future!!

I chose an elective c section and he was supportive of my decision. My son was delivered December 30th and even though it was New years he still visited to check on me several times. This was my first pregnancy and he was so calming during the delivery I felt extremely at ease. My pregnancy and delivery were both smooth and wonderful experiences. The entire office staff is really friendly and great, I never spent more than a couple minutes in the waiting room, they really value people's time. I feel very fortunate to have had Dr. Weyhrich as my doctor and would very highly recommend him.

I had previously had a somewhat…read moretraumatic birth with my first and these ladies were great at helping me work through that with our prenatal appointments. They gave me so many tips and idea on how to avoid stalling out again. There were 2 at home prenatal visits, on-call support leading up to the birth, support during the birth, and a perinatal appointment after the birth. I ended up having an amazing home birth experience and Amanda provided so much support for me during the pushing stage. Having her there to hold my hands, guide me through breathing, and hold my hand afterwards for stitching was just what I needed. I would highly recommend Elevated Birth if you're interested in a doula for your birth. I've read that women who birth with a doula statistically transfer to hospitals less and also require less epidurals. It was definitely worth the investment to help achieve the birth I had longed for. Thank you, ladies!!
